Back in my day, them peasants had to do photosynthesis to get their energy.AND THEY LIKED IT

Right? Today's peasants won't lift a finger until they've had their bread and turnips. They've gotten soft!

Here be House Griffith's vassals, by the way. Just got informed I have this Sunday and Monday off, so there'll be a role call PM sent out tomorrow morning as to who is in on this. Not responding by Monday means you don't get put on the map, which will hopefully be done by Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll be finishing the last two vassal sets tomorrow as well.

I assume too much with these sheets. I always think you guys know what you're doing, then you say things like 'Our peasants have to eat?'

I mean, that's the right attitude to have toward them [ don't let them get any ideas of enfranchisement! ], but how can they work for you if they're dead? That would be so not-flooby.

Psst, psst. *lifts overcoat. You wanna buy a watch?Edit: Also, in regards to the new changes in trade. Do you mind if I remove 1 city (of my three) and turn that into 5 scrubland fiefs?

No probs, figured someone would want to do that after I nerfed it.

Jorvik has the most surplus crops per capita. Want to buy some?

You and Nex are the only people without towns.

I'm very tempted to go into the pros and cons of towns, but I'm trying to resist giving anyone any ideas. I will, however, say that it should be obvious to those without towns that you chaps should hit the ground running, and avoid peace for too long, or risk lagging behind.

EDIT: Ash, I am terribly sorry, but my brain's running out of steam. I don't want to give you an iota of drivel, so I'm going to finish your vassals in the morning, when I'm bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and sipping on a fresh kona coffee. You deserve no less, my good sir.

Should be good now. Uncles use brother points, right?

Aye, they do, and aye, your points be good.

@ Fortunes: You can try and negotiate buying crops from someone. I'm sure there'd be some takers.

Floobeh, are my family points good? I keep getting different totals whenever I count.

They were good when I first looked at them, but it seems you changed them. Some of them are difficult to tell which category they belong to. A helpful label would make it easier. ;)

EDIT: Nevermind, double-checked it, it's 54. You've got six points to axe.

No, I thought you were talking about something else. And what about crops?

Ah, sorry, I misread your excel sheet. I was looking at the messy one, and thought you had already paid your troops their crops, which you don't need to just starting out.
I ended up finishing Outcast's vassals first, for no reason. Sorry, Ash, but you're next anyhow! Hopefully you'll see them tonight too, because their descriptions are already done.

If what you're saying is you decreased the amount of money we get every year, I quit. In the beginning I was making a small kingdom because that's what I do and what I thought was the max in the game, then I found out I had a shit ton more points to spend and I ask what was up -- you said you wanted people to have massive armies and strong kingdoms, not new ones. With the math, a town may make 100k, but upkeep will dwindle that to nothing in times of war. I've done my taxes too many times and done it enough for others that I won't do another big overhaul. Sorry Flooby, I'm out.

Nope, you don't have to do anything else. Nobody's gotten tariffs yet, because all the towns haven't been made yet.

And So Boerd was a bit harsh, but you do seem to be making this a little more complicated than it needs to be. Crops aren't a factor in figuring how much an army costs, it's just straight up bullis, so all you have to do when figuring out your military is know how many bullis it costs. Other than the military, all the values are in the rules, so it's mostly just picking from a list of what you want, and adding everything up.

Could you explain what you're finding difficult? Your sheets don't need to be any more detailed than what's already been accepted, or any of the vassal sheets.

Ah, I figured I made the town mistake when I downgraded the population while editing, but anyway:I downgraded Nicland's, Ardennia's and Novumsland's walls by one level each.

Alright, you're all good on points. I assume you wish to wait to do your military after you see your vassals? Otherwise, you're accepted. Welcome! I'll be making your vassals after I finish Ashgan's, Outcast's, and Nex's. I believe that makes you lord number 8.

EDIT: I regret to inform you all that tariffs have been nerfed. Only a quarter of the plunder value is added each annum, now. This has been something on my mind ever since I started the game, but I figured the point expense of towns would mean there would only be a few towns, and thus it would be relatively fair, but now that everyone has a town, those without one would suffer a huge disadvantage.

I mean, Palma alone was set to make something like 50 to 60k. Lord knows how much they would make at Wealthy or Magnificent wealth.

Alright, I made my thing. Let's hope I calculated everything correctly.

I count 102 points spent, and 22 family points. Beara is actually 17 points, not 13. Remember that towns cost 5 points initially. If you want to spend a point on family points, you need to axe three things, basically. I'd recommend downgrading some of the walls around your lessers fiefs, since that would be the least hurtful to your current stats.
