So... Rone's army was routed?

Aye.

They'll be turning tail back to Bolgaz, and I imagine House Vearin will be making the trek there as well.

Are we still allowed to apply?

Ashgan and Cale are both correct. If you would like to be a Lord, ask the players if they'd be so generous as to give you some land. If none are willing, you may only sign-up as a mercenary group. Conflict in Lundland is heating up, so mercenaries will have quite the time. That, and mercenary groups are much easier to manage than a kingdom anyhow, so they're good for new players.

Huh.. I just noticed that there are two Fief #164's on the world map.I'm not sure if that's been addressed already

Thank you, must have missed that. It's only a minor problem, thankfully, as all that's needed to fix it is just to merge the extra 164 with a neighbouring fief.

EDIT: I've been considering adding a point-cap for Lord player's fief ownership, to encourage vassalage. As it stands, players get no direct benefit from having vassals.
To all those whose battle scenarios I haven't finished yet, I apologize profusely. Work and chores have been 'killin me.

In any case, the next update is coming, and with it, tax day! Loosen those purse strings, and let those Sheriffs of Nottingham run amok!

This matters how? By your definition, everyone is a fatalist.

I believe he was asking if your actions were intentionally suicidal, as in 'did you intentionally not care about your recent actions with the intent of going down in a blaze of glory?'

Hmm, Bogans? Also, is Ironstone Islands in complete chaos right now? Did ulster drop from this RP?

It's not certain who exactly did the raiding, only that a large force came and destroyed all the towns. Ulster has dropped from the RP, the Stronghearts are all dead, a large chunk of the population of the Ironstone Islands are now starving and peniless, and House Ealmund battles with a the combined forces of the Reavers and the Bloodhorns for control of the island.

waait, they just raided the sea trade route, not the towns themselves.

No, I'm talking about different actions. Coldport, Iceport, Longspear, and Soarheight have all been destroyed, looted, and had their populations taken as slaves.
Oh, I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear, because it's important: if a town is destroyed, that counts as having all its trade routes raided. Meaning, nobody's towns get a wealth upgrade this annum. And you're losing a great deal of tariffs.

Someone destroyed those towns, and it weren't pirates.

Just thought I'd inform you all.

Can I read a first-hand account of this clerical 'culling' somewhere? It sounds like something count Dracula would have approved of, and if that GIF is anything to go by, is quite something to behold. As much has the intrigues around Rone and his family interest me, the sheer madness going on in Therral at the moment is simply captivating. Also, Nex, the priests have little to do with the decisions of either their king or the archbishop. They may be caught in the crossfire, but they could have, possibly, been given a choice to leave the country, or give up their faith or something along those lines. There are options beside wanton murder.

I cannot release any private discussions that happen between me and another player, unless there is some IC reason for its release. If you want details straight from the horse's mouth, you can ask Lord Solterra himself.

Chatting with one of his courtiers might also give you some valuable information. I hear that Flooby chap is quite the amusing cad!
The Nexerus said
Solterra does not see the priestly order as innocent, and the murders were in response to an excommunication being levied upon him, and the Church calling for an invasion of Therral.

The Nexerus said
As long as your ultimate goal is righteousness, and the actions that you must undertake are to further that goal, you are acting righteously. Solterra is allowing his ultimate goal of righteousness to restrict his repertoire of actions to be undertaken.

"Every unjust act carries its own curse."

The Nexerus said
Solterra is hardly 'evil', I just don't think he's acting expediently. Righteousness must be tempered with reason.

They went around their own country murdering innocent priests for loot.

That isn't evil?
