Why did the Tyranid cross the road? Because it consumed the chicken's biomass and assimilated its actions into the hive mind...

Just as the bartender was about to tell his findings, Val slams open the door of the bar and marches inside. She heads straight for Aidan and sits down next to him. Aidan simply raises an eyebrow at her. "That was... quite the entrance." He looks at the bartender and points at his glass. The man quickly pours another whiskey and shoves it off towards Aidan who catches it once more. "So lovely that you could join us here, milady." He bows his head in jest and takes the glass that the bartender poured for Val and places it in front of her.

He downs his own glass in one go and let's it swirl in his mouth for a couple of seconds before swallowing, feeling the burning liquid glide down his throat. "Tell me. What have you bought, and more importantly, what did you hear? The lovely bartender here was about to tell me some fascinating news as well. Bu you go first. "The man looks at her inquisitively and awaits her story.

Septus simply rolls with his eyes when he notices Rickard feeding his dogs under the table. He chooses to simply ignore it and instead focus on the question. "It bit longer then that wouldn't be the worst. This is probably the last time we'll sleep in a comfortable bed for a while... So we better make the most of it. Let's say an hour after the rooster has made his dreaded noise." He cuts a piece of the steak and puts it in his mouth. He chews on it for a bit before swallowing it and cleaning his throat with some water. "Can't say I'm too thrilled to enter the Blasted Lands. The last time we send some missionaries that way, the recovery team only found their faces peeled off near some dark heathen ritual site."

He puts the last piece of potato in his mouth, puts down his cutlery and sits back in his uncomfortable wooden chair, done with his meal. He looks at the burning fireplace in the corner of the room and grins. "Well, I like see the heathen scum try to do the same to us. They'll quickly meet Ultis if they do." He strokes the pommel of his sword that he placed against the table when he sat down. "No dark god ritual can protect them from this holy steel." His grin widens as he takes out a pack of cards from one of his pouches. "Let's play one game of Fiery Cards before we head to bed. Need to see if I can beat you this time. Last time you got lucky with topdecking that Warmaster." Septus shoves the plate aside and starts to shuffle the cards.
Aidan walks through the long metal corridors till his eyes catch a bar called the 'Drunken Astronaut'. He swings the door open and enters the building. Everyone turns his head to Aidan and his seals. They quickly focus back to their own business, clearly not wanting to catch the attention of an Inquisitor. People were usually afraid of Inquisitors. He couldn't blame them since the Pantheon probably held the most power in the galaxy, apart from the Terran Council.

He sits down on a stool in front of the bar and slams his hand on the counter, catching the attention of the bartender. The sweaty man quickly makes his way to Aidan and puts up a warm smile. "To what do I own the honor of serving one of the most holy Inquisition? What will it be?" Aidan quickly glances over the man, but his attention quickly drifts off to the list of drinks. "I'll just have Temodian Whiskey. Pour in another as soon as a pink haired lady walks in." The bartender nods and gets out a brown bottle. He quickly pours the content in a small glass and slides it to Aidan who catches it in his hand and downs the drink in one go. He shakes his head in response to the burning liquid gliding down his throat and looks at the bartender again.

"And now for information. What's the news on the station? No signs of dark cults I hope?" The bartender quickly holds up his hands and shakes his head. "Noooo... Nothing worth mentioning here. We're just a small space station that welcomes newcomers to the Sol System. All devote believers of the Pantheon here. May Kaadilan guide our righteous path and all that. Though there are dark tales from travelers that come from the all over the galaxy..." This makes Aidan raise an eyebrow and lean on the counter. "Go on..."
Justice = Kaadilan
Wisdom = Zeru
Death = Kufa
Life = Vida

Chaos = Lagu
Ignorance = Neolas
Slaughter = Mallus
Hedonism = Kesgana
The bartender quickly gets out two keys and hands them over to Septus. "Anything else, your holiness?" Septus points at a table. "Yes. A meal would do. For me, my partner and his dogs. Oh, and fill the through outside with oat for our horses as well while you're at it." He gets out three golden Cinders from one of his many pouches and puts them on the counter. "That should suffice." He turns around and heads for the table. He pulls the chair back and sits down. The bartender his eyes widen as he quickly grabs the coins and stuffs them in his pockets. "It will be right there, milord!"

He folds his hands together and places them beneath his chin as Rickard sits down opposite from him. "Right Rickard. Let's eat, sleep and leave in the morning as soon as we can. Just don't try to hit another one of the patrons because they accidentally stepped on the tail of your dog like last time. And do sleep on time. No midnight walks with the dogs." He looks at his legs for a second before letting out a sigh. "I'm... sorry, Rickard. You're a full-fledged Inquisitor and my friend. I should stop acting like your mother." He cracks his fingers and looks back up. "Hope the food is better then last time."

The bartender, carrying two plates of food, walks over to the table and places the plates down. The plates hold some potatoes, a small steak and some asparagus. All in all, the meal looks decent. The bartender quickly walks off and comes back with a jug of water and two cups. He bows his head and leaves the two to their meal.
"All in due time." He says while holding up one hand. "At least wait until we leave Earth jurisdiction space. Wouldn't want to get halted because we were simply training." The ship flies past a cluster of space stations. Some are as small as the ship they are flying and some are as large as a small moon. A warning light starts blinking in the cockpit, signalling that they are being scanned. The Invictus passes unharmed. "The 'borders' around Earth are getting tighter by the day."

The flight continues for another 20 minutes. In the mean time they pass several planets like Mars and such. Then finally the Beacon appears on the radar and getting closer also reveals it to the eye. It is surrounded by several gun platforms as well as some space stations that are providing support. As the Invictus approaches, Aidan slows down the craft. "We'll have to a wait our orders here. I'll land us on the Progenitor over there." He points to one of the stations and flies towards it. He requests to dock and gets assigned a docking station. He manages to dock with ease and the craft attaches to the docking tube with a hiss.

"This station has living quarters in it, thus also having shops, restaurants and inns. We kind of left Earth in a hurry, so I'm sending you out to get some supplies. See this as a first test! Come back with what you think is necessary. In the meantime, I'll be gathering the latest information in the bar." Aidan gets up, walks to the airlock and boards the Progenitor, heading straight for the nearest bar.
Aidan steers towards the nearest Beacon, which would still take about thirty minutes of flying. He switches on the auto-pilot and turns his chair towards Val as she sits down. "I suppose it's good to see that chair filled again." He turns back to the consoles and flicks some switches and pushes some buttons here and there, making sure that everything runs smoothly.

In response to Valentisha's question, Aidan rearranges a screen that is attached to the ceiling, making it more visible for the girl. "This ship runs on a mini reactor. It was designed to take up as few space as possible. It's not the usual liquid form this ship uses though. This ship makes use of rods that are directly inserted into the reactor. Bit more of a hassle to refill, but a lot less risk to loose fuel due to a leak." He points at the screen. it shows four bars all filled up. "Those represent the four cores and how full they are. They should always be at the same level. If one is lower or higher then the others, eject it for a couple of minutes or draw double power off it until it's equal again. Don't worry about timing. The computer will change it's status to normal as soon as they are equal again."

He turns the screen back to himself and sits back in his chair. "The ship is also equipped with three sets of guns, a turret at the back and a scanner which detects particles that are not of this realm. A.k.a. a useful tool to pick up rituals of the Dark Gods. About the engine... Eeh... It's not the best. It's not capable of making FTL jumps by itself, so we need to make use of Beacons. It's strength lies in maneuvering." Per demonstration Aidan quickly grabs the controls and pulls a lever, making the ship turn 360 degrees in a flash of second while remaining on course for the beacon. After the display he simply let's go of the controls once more and sits back.
Septus frowns at the given answer. "A little curiosity wouldn't kill you, Rickard. Besides," Septus looks off into the forests and turns back to Rickard. "What kind of fool would seek shelter in the Blasted Lands? Maybe you're right. It matters little I suppose. Let's just put some speed behind it before the sun is completely gone." With that he ends the conversation and gives his horse free reign once more, galloping off.

After two hours of riding, the sun slowly starts to disappear behind the trees. Off in the distance can be seen some lights. They were close to the tavern Septus spoke of. As the two approach, a couple of horses could be seen stalled outside. Septus get's off his horse and ties the reigns to the pole, allowing his horse to drink. He walks up to the door and waits for his partner to catch up. Before they enter, Septus whispers in Rickards ear: "Let's not repeat that whole ordeal we did last time." He then swings open the door and enters the taphouse.

Some people look up as they enter, but quickly focus back to their own business as they see the seal of the Inquisition pinned on their chests. He quickly walks up to the bar and slams his hand flat on it to catch the attention of the bartender who was talking to some other guest. The bartender quickly walks up the Septus and looks kind of afraid. "Aah... Most honorable guardians of our faith. What can I help you with tonight?" Septus looks over his shoulder at Rickard and raises an eyebrow. That was more flattery then usual. He looks back at the bartender and tries to sound warm, which he is clearly not adept at. "Ah, good bartender. We would like to hire two rooms for the night. One for me, and one for my partner and his... friends."
