Cyryl
Before Cyryl the plains around Brugge stretched out, the forest of Brokilon Northwest of the city, the Yaruga to its South. Autumn had just arrived and the shades of brown and green were complementing eachother. A low sun stretched over the fields where roads slithered over like snakes. Carts, people and cattle crawling over them. More carts than usual, but proportionally less humans than usual.

A group of soldiers in the cities colours were herassing a cart next to the road, its canvas already torn up and various goods spread out in the ditch next to the road. It was rumoured that De Bruuk had as little love for sorceresses and mutants as he felt for the non-humans.
In front of the gate a line had formed to enter the city, there the small ruckuss just described was repeated tenfold by those waiting to enter the city. Throwing objects at the non-humans, and verbally speeding their departure, or so they seemed to hope. It wasn't a pretty sight, certainly not compared to the rustic countryside.
Time to get moving?

I'd like to know a few things like:

-is she a full trained mage or gone into the world to learn more on her own?
-What kind of magic she favors, not so much as that she is a pyromancer or something, though you could say that, but something general about how she uses her magic.

Maybe some more eleboration in general, what makes the character tick?
as far as I am concerned yes.
Hello, Feel free to post any questions and so on here. Also for additional information about a scene etc.
As for the format here:

Character Name + one sentence description (i.e: Dandelion, Famous Bard and less famous informant) as the title of a hider with your character information as follows:
Age:
Race:
Occupation:
Appearance: (purely physical and facial)
Equipment: (also serves as a description of your character, finish it up with a list of equipment)
Background:
Skills:
Martial prefference:
Flaws:
Martial flaws:
Sorry about that, been busy! Great to have you onboard! as far as I am concerned we can start things up. So if you would create your characters. Feel free to make whatever you want and report to http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/88704-witcher-roleplay/ic than we can start off!

It is the year 1203 Various of the Northern Kingdoms are making plays against each other while the river the Yaruga is still the symbol of safety against the Nilfgaardian Empire. In Brugge a new mayor was elected, the eccentric Regan de Bruuk, a known associate of the shady side of Brugge and the main instigator of the Eastborough pogrom against the elves and dwarves in the city, winning the ‘election’ mainly on the propaganda of clearing the forest of Brokilon of the dryads that have been menacing the trade routes for so long. Eastborough is still smoldering from the violent pogrom as the city square is the scene of de Bruuk’s victory feast, non-humans are in hiding or leaving the city as others come in to witness the changes…

I am wondering aswell about the appearant lack of interest. Lore isn't that important, everything is wiki-able and we are well before the books etc. Its mainly about the feel of the world.
Hello people,

For this adventure I would like to set it in an adaptation of the Witcher world. Before I set out the world and the further rules here are a few things that could throw people off:

- We will be playing BEFORE the events of the Witcher Games and books, and we will use its lore as a starting point, departing from it from there on.
- You will be starting in different places, and do not really need a connection to eachother.
- We will do a completely narrative focus, so no game elements.

Still reading? Good.

So as for the rules part:

Your characters will start apart, but all will be in the vicinity of, or in, Brugge. You can be anyone you like though having 5 witchers, or 5 sorcerers/sorceresses or all kings tends to be boring. You are free start together in pairs, trios or whatever. Please adhere to the unwritten and unspecified laws of not creating OP characters or roleplaying them. I know certain characters in this setting are innately more powerful (mainly those named above) so portray them responsible.

As you start apart some stories will just progress faster than others while you remain apart if you don’t reply as often as the others. I will have no ‘rounds’ of posts, just post at will and once everyone has acted to the situation I portrayed I will change the scenery.

YOU will have freedom to describe effects and interactions with NPCs if you like. Just stay clear of your fellow PCs or any NPC that is somewhat of a ‘boss’. Those are mine.

I hope to build this story out, starting in small scale, with your personal goals, and then going into a bigger and bigger story once everyone is teamed up and things are slowly being set in motion.
Please build in a temporary ‘out’ for your character, so that when you have real life things you can retreat your character from the main storyline.

The Setting:
We will start in the year 1203 Various of the Northern Kingdoms are making plays against each other while the river the Yaruga is still the symbol of safety against the Nilfgaardian Empire. So First: interest check. Just give a heads up if you are interested and what kind of character you would like to play!
