No you can use both character which come from the RP's Earth, Characters from Mythology, Crossover Character and Original Characters (no matter if they come from a Crossover setting or your own).
It is just that a more widely known character would be more powerful.

The more people know about a imaginary location the higher the chance that it would "Arrive" to RP's Earth with larger parts of itself. So Heaven from the Bible would probably be around and fighting Hell, on the other hand an anime cloud bring in a whole continent or just a single city, depending on how many people know about it, but a setting that exists only in a mind of a single person cloud only bring, with a good certainty, a single character.

Now characters are tied to a certain setting right? For example Orc from Azaroth are part of the Warcraft universe? That universe has certain rules and laws in which it works?
An "Arrived" character would using the rules and laws of its own world not of ordinary, poor RP's Earth. So for example a character which can't die in its setting cloud never be killed by humans from the RP's Earth.

Now a question arises. What happens when two characters from different universes clash? The more known characters would reduce the power of the less known ones. (BTW that means that Buddha (as a deity not person) and the major Hinduist gods are pretty much the most powerful of all characters which cloud appear in this RP).

I had a wierd day of running all over the place (two trips to the city, taking care of my younger brother and a bunch of other stuff) so I had no time to think about this thing. OCs are more then OK to. Actually a single OC would be realistic. For now it has been confirmend that, at least to some extend, the more known an idea/setting/and so on is the large part of its world would appear on Earth after The Arrival. So a single character born and kept only in a single mind would easily "Arrive" to Earth, but a house of that character would have seriously low chances of doing so. Note that for each characters the rules of its world apply, not those of Earth, as for when two "Arrived" character clash can you guess, out of the two characters, whose world's rules would apply?

October 20 2014 AKA Arrival Day of the Arrival (20-10-AY) the day it all begun. From portals which defied all laws of physics places and things which only existed only in fiction, our myths, art or imagination, appeared. Dragons, mages, elves, robots and many more begun to fill the world. To make things even worse each location which appeared would "stretch" the Earth, pushing away what was located there when the location appeared, and soon Earth started to get gigantic patches which sometimes didn't even fit in the climate and vegetation of the area. From parts of Azeroth (Warcraft) to the Academy City (To Aru Universe) many thing begun to appear all over the world.

Timeline of events

20 October 2014 (Arrival Day of Arrival Year) - "The Arrival" in which multiple locations and races from Earth's mythology and fiction appear, causing panic and disaster as they do. Some of them include: Parts of Azeroth, Discworld, parts of Weyard, the Dragon race.

November 2014 - January 2015
The war between Dragons and US –Mexico Alliance for the control of California state and peninsula goes on. Russia is heavily burdened by the sudden appearance of many parts of Azaroth, Discworld and Weyard. Europe is stable, for now.

14 January 2015 (Re-genesis Year 1)
Golden Sun fires, converging over the place where Mt. Aleph appeared in this world - near the Hungarian city of Debrecen. The resulting release of Psyenergy both turns most of the Pannonian basin into mountains. Soon Adepts start to pop up all over the world.

9 February RY 1 (2015)
Battle of Walker Pass ends in a terrible defeat of the US-Mexico Alliance, leading to the Californian separation from US which forms the Republic California which now becomes something akin to a vassal state to the Dragons which also take south Oregon and large parts of western Mexican cost.

25 September RY 1 (2015)
1960 Germany from the Fatherland novel appears in Europe. Chaos erupts as large parts of Europe are ransacked before the EU can stop and destroy the country. The EU forms the Mandate out of most of this newly appeared Germany.

11 April RY 2 (2016)
"Spark" Project, a project aimed to create weapons against creatures as dragons and mages is started by US and Canada.

30 June RY 2 (2016)
"Land of Oz" appears in Canada but is quickly sized by join US and Canada forces.

Arda (Middle-Earth) appears in the Southern Pacific Ocean.

20 March RY 3 (2017)
The east China, hailing from the Fallout universe a century before the nuclear war which lead to the events of Fallout appears north of Scandinavia. In the next 5 years this county used its more advanced technology to push into Europe. EU and allies have been forced to abandon all territory north from the Alps, Pyrenees, Carpathian and the Pannonia mountains (which formed as a result of the previously mentioned Golden Sun event). Small holdouts are still present in the form of the Crimean peninsula, Iceland, Ireland and Scotland.

Mahora City (Mahou Sensei Negima!) appears in the northern Kanto province.

Under the constant strain of Azaroth population rebellions the Russian Federation splits in three parts: the Russian Federation in the west, which controls European Russia and the area between the Ural and Novosibirsk; the Union of Kamchatka, Okhotsk, Vladivostok and Amur (UKOVA) which controls the respectable regions as well as the Yakutsk river valley; the rest becomes a number of Azaroth-race states.

15 July RY 5 (2019)
Academic City (To Aru Universe) appears in Tokyo Bay. It quickly cooperates with the Japanese government to keep Japan safe.

Gensokyo appears in the Tohoku region, the Hakurei barrier is significantly weakened by the transfer, allowing many inhabitants of Gensokyo to travel outside. Y.Y. strengthens the barrier, but a number of Gensokyo inhabitants escaped and Y.Y. forces the Japanese government to collaborate in finding the escaped Gensokyo population.

A new day dawn on the once small town of Buje, which now swells under the flow of refugees, both human and not, which are fleeing from the Chinese forces marching southwards. But what is unknown that in the next few day the eyes of the world will fist turn and then keep looking at the events which will unfold in this peaceful town.

29th March RY 7 (2021) RP Starting Date

But what is unknown that in the next few day the eyes of the world will fist turn and then keep looking at the events which will unfold in this peaceful town.

The RP will take place in the town of Buje, which severs as one of the transfer and living places for refugees, human or not, from the more northern parts of Europe.
Except for the core which can be observed using Google Map or another similar service Buje now has also changed as it is:
All across the hills around the core of the city before "The Arrival" slums and refugee camps have spawned, reaching somewhere between 20,000-100,000 in population (due to a significant presence of refugees no listed in official files).
A EUFOR base and airfield also have been build north from the town to help control the Alpine area of Slovenia and defend the Sava river valley, one of the rare parts of the Pannonian basin which evaded becoming a mountain region from the Golden Sun, thus becoming one of the key sources of food for the remains of EU.
The valley around the city have been turned into as efficient as possible agricultural lands, mostly direct consumption cultures like wheat to evade the cost of nurturing livestock.
All industrial facilities have been turned towards the needs of stopping the advances of China into EU territory, AKA they are producing weapons and military supplies.

Questions are welcomed as well as suggestions.

If you don't like the location just say another settelment in which you would like the RP to be set in.

Suggestions to add more fictional locations which appeared on Earth are also welcomed. All you need is what you are suggesting to be added, where its general location would be and the date it "arrived". There is only one restriction - no places where FTL propulsion is known and widely used will be a part of this RP.

That is because to little people pay attention to the GENERAL INTEREST CHECKS where this check was first posted so I decided to target the Casual Section with a copy of the interest check.
