"It wouldn't hurt, she tends to get around a lot too so if she helps it would be easier." Donovan said sort of contemplating just how Carly might act if she were to turn around.

"I might be able to help with some of the older folks around. I'll leave you two to deal with the rest of your friends and the younger people." Marlon said feeling sure he could best help them by defusing more of the adults who would be rather surly given the whole situation. "I'll call back in a bit to see how things went, you stay safe."

He gave them a wave before heading to his own car, it was old but still got the job done, so he could head out to do more damage control to ease up some tension if possible. Donovan looked to Eden afterwards knowing that her presence would be necessary to convincing the others because he would be hard pressed to expect them to listen to him alone. He figured she would probably drive them back to town and from there they could figure out the visiting arrangements after Carly. It brought to mind that both Evan and Jackie would be harder to crack, he had physically attacked Even and had a feeling some terrible things could have been said to Jackie. It was going to be a hell of a time but it was needed to try and undo some of the damage the other him had done in a few months.
Evan would be a likely suspect for not listening having been smacked around himself. Though Jackie could have gotten worse and could make it rather interesting. I sort of have an idea to use her later on once some of the issues get fixed to explain why they separated.
Appearance:

Name: Janine Kortain.

Age: 20.

Gender: Female.

Power(s): Janine was able to turn into an Abyssinian cat, being able to communicate with others cats and animals better, and can still speak although it takes some effort, except she can't turn back human.

Personality: Janine was always a curious person and a bit spacey at that. She has over time sort of adopted a more cat like outlook on things, namely being less inclined to listen or actually do anything she doesn't want to. Generally she is well behaved but she has her moments and seven years as a cat has sort of taken its toll on her patience with people. She would rather be treated as an equal by other people and tends to get a bit sassy with anyone who continues to annoy her about it.

Brief Bio: Janine learned about her power when she was thirteen when she started mimicking her cat and turned into one in the process. She thought it was amazing at first having thought she was normal in a city full of super humans but she quickly discovered it was both a blessing and a curse when she couldn't return to being human. Her parents had to make some adjustments for her making sure she had food and water while they still had to live they're lives. It wasn't all bad considering Janine had her cat as company and the two of them became a fair bit closer considering they could better communicate than before. She actually managed to continue her schooling as awkward as it was for the private tutor they hired at her behest but college was something out of the question until something could be sorted out.

Eventually she ended up living with her friend at her request when her cat passed away from age which gave her a bit of freedom. She kind of got babied by her friends because of her state and she got annoyed more and more with it because she hated being treated like she couldn't do anything. There were definitely things she couldn't do anymore but she tried her best not to let it get to her and has done her best to keep going. She actually stopped a thief from robbing the apartment with a few good scratches, a bite or two, and some nasty language she most likely wouldn't repeat. Janine tried to help other people once or twice when she snuck out of the apartment a couple times but its hard to get noticed when her power is as limiting as it is noticeable.
"I feel like making amends with our friends. They obviously got it bad and could use some good news for their sake." Donovan said figuring it would be as good a start as any and very much wanting to fix what had been undone.

He moved up with Eden and Marlon to start the walk back, it wouldn't take long he figured, and he thought about what he could say if Carly, Evan, Jackie, and the rest would even listen to him, he had a feeling Aya and her father might be more interested in seeing him shot. This time he had help in the form of Eden who was far more likely to be able to get through to them because they still trusted her. His father would be able to reason with the older half of the town rather well because he stopped his son where almost no one else tried. It would probably still take time but getting the word out would get him back into favor eventually and help people know that there was still a good side to him. Donovan had been making a concerted effort to clear his mind just to help make the trip as quick as possible so they could get back somewhere warm and because being out in the forest was making him a bit uneasy.

Donovan would do his best to keep a good pace as they started to head back to town not going to fast or slow but enough to warm up slightly along the way. He wasn't sure where to find many of his friends because of the separation so he hoped Eden would be able to figure that part out at least. Marlon would most likely leave them to it and do what he could on his side hoping for the best.
Donovan did start to get a hold on himself, if only a bit, as Eden was doing her best to convince him that it could get better and might be fixable. Needless to say he wasn't as optimistic but he trusted her words and that her and his father would help even with such a complicated problem. He had sort of withdrawn before Eden had started to try to bring him out of it and didn't noticed she had sat down until she put her hand on him. It reinforced the fact that she still trusted him despite what he almost did...what the other him almost did. Explaining to the others was going to be an interesting proposition, there were some who probably would not be able to forgive him, though if anyone could get it across it would be Eden and Marlon.

"If you have enough faith we can do it I suppose I should too. I'll probably have hell to pay in town but if it helps I'll take it." Donovan said feeling a bit better but not running off his own willpower, more like running off a vague hope that it could be fixed.

Donovan gently put a hand on Eden's after a couple minutes feeling composed enough to maybe get up and walk back with her and Marlon who walked over himself.

"You look like you got the weight of the world on you but we'll be there every step of the way to help you shake it off." Marlon said wanting to add his own two cents to assure the boy further.

Donovan decided to stand back up which he did slowly but held on to Eden's hand to help her up, just wouldn't be right to not help her. Once he was up he figured they would get him back to town so they could start to sort things out and his father giving him a grip on the shoulder made him feel like the man was just glad to have his son back. It occurred to him after the fact that Eden might want her hand back and in typical fashion her released her hand feeling a bit stupid, and mildly embarrassed, for forgetting something like it again. Though its absence made him realize he was cold from being outside during the night which made the walk back more agreeable so he could warm up.

"Suppose I'm ready now. If you two want to start me off, I'm still a little foggy." He said willing to move on with Eden and his father.
Donovan sat and listened intent on hearing Eden out about what had happened to affect her in such a way, not to mention his did who was not easily worried. His expression went from concerned to mortified hearing what he had done and how he had been acting without any knowledge of it. The fact that there had ever been violence coming from him scared him to death because he knew just how much damage someone his size could do. He looked up at Marlon who more or less apologized with his whole expression and Donovan gave something of a nod of forgiveness and thanks for stopping him in his tracks before he hurt someone else. The pang of guilt got much worse hearing that his other friends hadn't been lying but actually telling the truth of something that he wasn't capable of believing. He straightened himself out looking down to his own hands which started trembling as the truth revealed itself and the look he gave back to Eden was filled to the brim with all of the guilt and self doubt that had been building up until this point.

"I...I'm...I don't know what to do. Everyone was right then...I have turned into a monster." Donovan said not taking the news well almost seeming to just go numb with the sudden resignation of realizing how horrible things had gotten and dealing with the sudden weight that hit him.

His whole expression showed his thought that it was him behind all of the terror and it was crushing him.
Donovan watched the two of them for a moment while there was a pause noticing Eden was behind his father, it didn't really register but he noticed it. When she started to explain as vaguely as it were he couldn't help but see the flash of fear which upset him. It sobered him up faster than the moments before it because whatever made her afraid had to be dealt with, he noticed Marlon having a similar reaction though he seemed to know more. One thing that became clear was it had to do with him and it sort of scared him that he didn't know but there was a pang of guilt thinking if what he had been told about his behavior was right then he was going to feel horrible about doubting his friends. He shifted again feeling another small wave of pain hit him from his back which he reached to feeling his torn shirt but oddly enough nothing more than some very sensitive skin which he unintentionally pressed making him grit his teeth slightly.

"Eden...I need to know what happened. If it made you afraid and dad nervous its something serious. I'm guessing this was part of it." Donovan said with much more clarity than before while twisting a bit to give her a look at the reddish patch of skin where he got shot.

There was a bit of dried blood below it that Donovan hadn't quite felt but the fact there was no wound would be news enough. It seemed to be in the latter stages of healing up still fighting off any infection but covered up by the new skin that was not happy with the Cajun for his probing.
Welcome to the guild. Hope we get to see some great characters and writing out of you around here and make sure to have as much fun as possible.
Looking forward too.
Marlon had been keeping an eye out into the woods watching for any that might look to harm them while keeping up with Eden. He noted her uncertainty about the direction they were walking but had a feeling she would get them there regardless putting his trust in her. The creek made its presence known as they got closer which was a good sign and it had seemed to invigorate the girl since she had remembered well enough where to go, though the tree was a little ways away. As they got up near the tree he noticed Eden step back and he couldn't blame her with his son's actions the night before. Marlon had no issue letting her stay behind him while he moved around to try spot the boy around the tree or general area.

Donovan laid partially up against the tree away from the town to stay better covered if anyone came looking during the night. He just barely heard the movement of Marlon and Eden causing him to shift slightly to which he was greeted by a pain in his lower back to which he groaned. It sort of roused him from his sleep prompting him to sit his back up against the tree, him being mostly oblivious to his father and friend, not in that moment sure where he was or why he was there. He took a moment to clear his eyes before looking to where he thought he heard movement ending up finding the two being hit with another wave of confusion as he just sat there staring sleepily at them.

"Whats going on?" Donovan asked quite obviously having no idea what had happened but needing to voice his confused mind's thoughts.
