I'd accept one or the other but at the same time is a bit too much chocolate for me. Getting a post together up now that I have an idea where to start.
Getting setup for weekend D&D myself. Other than that its been extremely lazy today.
Jack perked up at hearing someone else sitting down at his table and returned Monica's smile once he pulled himself away from his toast in front of him. He knew her as one of the emergency workers and someone who seemed more likely to be alone than around him or anyone else for that matter. It didn't bother him so much because his sister fit the bill well generally no wanting to be bothered and left to her art, but there was a small chance it was for the same reason. "Yeah, that's me good to see you Monica. Hows morning treating you?" He said genuinely happy to talk with someone he knew less about. After all you could learn quite a bit about someone by talking but it was also good to do just for entertainment value at least for him.

Jack did find that listening to everyone was maybe a bit of a hobby though it was just passing and there was always a nugget here or there to lock away for later. Its not like he couldn't just use his power for finding out things most people wouldn't say otherwise but really he liked to keep his power on the down low. Given its effects people could start looking at him wrong really easy and it was something he hoped to avoid if possible here more than he did outside. Not exactly safe to be getting people upset around here. He thought with a certain amount of humor. "Quite a few people here today." He said stating the obvious but figuring it might get a different response from Monica more so than most of the others.
Finally got my damn post up. I'm paying for falling asleep on my desk though.
Jack had watched several others file in ahead of him while he had stayed back for a moment. He generally preferred to come in a bit later never bothering to rush for the most part, at least when he could get away with it which morning was perfect for. It took him a few seconds to get over to the serving line and decide what exactly he wanted that ended up being a couple hard-boiled eggs with some toast and a bit of water to wash them down. Finding an empty table not too far away from where he noticed others he looked around while working on the shells of the eggs giving him a chance to see just who was about. There were more than a few faces he could put names to hanging around though there were a couple that were relatively new which was to be expected given the Home being an official enough dump site for anyone gifted.

To Jack it was interesting just how well some of the other residents seemed to adjust to the whole containment though he suspected there were others besides him who wouldn't mind getting out or at least breaking the barrier. Honestly he didn't much care as of yet anyone's opinion on the matter because he had no idea if any of them were actually on the payroll of Dawson which he anticipated there were a few such individuals among them. Then again it was probably just him over thinking the matter but that was just his mind always thinking about the angles to worry about. He shook his head slightly and started eating figuring it might be a good idea not to let food go to waste just mildly tuning in to the conversations around him here or there. The scene was very normal all things considered for who and what they were, after all you could hardly call most of the people in the Home anywhere near normal depending on what they could do, however it let people distract themselves for even just a little providing a nice break from reality. Jack would continue to listen for now more focused on his food than anything else for the moment though in a rather good mood this particular day.
Sounds good. Sorry I haven't been particularly active lately, not sick but haven't barely been able to sleep lately.
Nice and quiet.
Jack heard the morning racket from behind his shut eyes causing him to mumble incoherently while he decided if staying inside was worth the hell he'd get later for it. It took a couple minutes before he relented and started to get up, he was a light sleeper which made the trumpets particularly unsettling in the morning and getting good sleep difficult if there was any intrusive sound or light. He started to get himself together putting on a gray shirt and brown pants after quickly pushing through the rest of his morning before checking to see if he needed to get anything from the mall for the apartment. If he did it wasn't occurring to him so he just decided to leave it be for now and head out for his breakfast.

Jack started heading towards the mall at a lazy pace looking around as he progressed. He gave a greeting here or there to a couple other residents knowing most by name and while he was a friendly enough guy he did value his privacy where he didn't have to worry about anyone else directly but it rarely stopped him from talking with the others who wanted to, or not if he was feeling insistent, on a regular basis. Honestly the Home was a decent enough place to live what with most people getting along as well as working together to keep everyone else afloat though he knew it was mostly spurred by that fact they had no real choice in the matter. There were no preconceptions of a carefree place to him here because even though the real world could be harsh there was more life there than here. That along with him not being watched like a caged animal made for a strong urge to leave if he ever got the chance not to mention he had his twin to look after if he did get out. It was not a thought that weighed lightly on him but he figured Nina was still managing on the outside because despite being a prisoner as long as he was she hadn't ended up getting caught. Lets hope it stays that way. He thought feeling a little more positive at the thought. Jack realized he would probably end up at the mall soon enough but he would just take a moment to relax and clear his head before heading in.

It needed to be done. I'm here now too. :D

Name: Jack Stahl.
Age: 26.

Powers: Corruption Inducement.

Weapons: None if he can help it.

Bio: Jack was born to an interesting pair of a villain and female vigilante who would only after raising himself and his younger twin Nina find out who the other was. One glaring piece of evidence had been him because his mother was the only known corruption inducer in the region while his sister gained her father's artistic creation power. The mother would end up dealing a fatal shot to the man, using her power to get information to cover any doubts, ending him after his impressive run that had lasted since he was a young man himself and she did a good job at covering her tracks to prevent discovery. But before the death both parents had raised two intelligent and creative kids though Jack had some of his father's worse habits of taking what he wanted when he wanted it. Despite his mother's attempts it was difficult to keep Jack from using his mind and strong control of his power to get what he wanted though hurting anyone seemed to be a no go for him. It certainly caused some tension with his mother, especially when she realized her own power was less than her sons, but he only seemed to do it when money was short or if he saw something that he found interesting.

Jack seemed to see stealing less as a crime and more as a way to keep food on the table which while it didn't make him popular he wasn't wrong. He also seemed very protective of his sister who seemed to be accepting enough of his methods as long as he never hurt anyone, she might well have been the reason he never went further. One thing that struck the boy was the death of his father which made him have to sober up quickly and grow up quicker but also made him curious as to who did it. He found getting information wasn't particularly hard when he could take it and he also used some other sources that he wouldn't name to pry some of the more classified of it. Both Nina and himself were extremely upset when they found out it was their own mother who had killed dear old dad. Jack summarily lost it and found out where his mother was in the city while she was trying to keep up her crime fighting and in his rage he overmatched her power and had her kill the villain she was facing against as well as herself a moment after. There was a large amount of regret over it and it put the spotlight on the twins because of the outburst. Jack and Nina tried to hide and for a while they kept out of sight while Jack used his power to keep them afloat and it would go on like this for a couple years. He had managed to get them a place to stay and a pretty steady amount of money between working and stealing, he had become part of a mercenary company for a short time but was eventually caught managing to get his sister to safety with some quick thinking before getting disabled, caught, and thrown into Miss. Dawson's custody.

Dreams/Wishes: Jack wants to have a good life with plenty to go around where he doesn't have to hurt or steal know both him and Nina are safe and happy.

Evil, Good, Walking the Line: Walking the Line.

Siblings (If Any): Nina Stahl.(Younger twin sister)

Pets (If Any): None.
