It took him a while, given the vast amounts of things he had brought with him, but eventually Hiro managed to unpack the last bag and with a hefty sigh, he collapsed on the bed. He had no idea that moving was quite so tiring, usually he had people to do this sort of thing for him. He flicked a stray strand of hair out of his eyes and pulled on his headphones, putting his iPod onto shuffle and relaxing. There was no sign of his roommate yet, but he wasn't concerned right now, he was too tired for such frivolities. He would deal with that hurdle when he needed to. Providing whoever it was, they didn't touch his things. He could share his space with someone else, providing they respected that this side of the room was his side of the room. This was where he sat, he worked and he slept. No-one else was to set foot on Hiro's side of the room without his blessing.

As he lay on his bed, some Scottish indie band that only really Hiro listened to blaring into his ears, Hiro began to notice the swarms of people moving through the corridor, all heading the same direction. Eventually, with a sigh and a roll of his eyes, he removed his headphones, letting them rest around his neck, still blaring music and stood up, strolling over to the doorway.
"You there. Where is everyone headed in such a rush?" Hiro barked at the nearest fellow student, you looked rather taken aback at Hiro's attitude.
"To that meal they hold for the new students. Apparently is a pretty big deal or something." The guy responded before darting away. Hiro contemplated returning to his bed for a moment, but eventually he shrugged and put his headphones back on, closing the door behind him. There would be plenty of time to meet his roommate later, right now, Hiro was hungry.

He found his way to the dining room without any trouble and strode into the room with his usual holier-than-thou swagger. Now this was what he had been expecting! Proper furniture, chandeliers and the smell of good food. At last, Hiro was starting to see a glimmer of promise about this school. The room was beginning to fill with students, people grabbing seats with people they had met so far, sitting in groups. Hiro didn't really want to talk to anyone. He spied an empty area at the foot of one of the longer tables, the other end already occupied by chattering students but he didn't necessarily need to bother himself with them. He slid himself into a seat, sitting upright with perfect elegance, the sort he had been taught by his family and waited patiently for the promised food.
I've just been... Uh... Lazy and forgetful. Will post later tonight!
Alice took a deep breath and shrugged.
"A tie is okay with me." She spoke to the official. The man looked a little disappointed that there wouldn't be another battle, but Alice didn't need to fight again. Both Biscuits and Celia had battled tooth and nail to get her this far, and she was sure that any prize money would be enough to keep her in the country, even split with her opponent who thankfully agreed to the tie game.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Our finalists are too close in skill level that they've agreed to a tie! I present to you our joint victors, Alice Kyte and Beatrix Loren" The crowd applauded, slightly disheartened that there wasn't a clear winner, but Alice really didn't mind. The tough part was over. She removed her battling goggles and took a step away from the arena, walking over to her opponent.
"Th-that was a good battle." She said. Her opponent was certainly creepy, even creepier looking when Alice was close "I hope we can rematch sometime in the future, hopefully the outcome will be a little more... Certain?" She smiled and extended her hand in a friendly gesture, although all she really wanted to do was leave the arena and receive her prize money. Her opponent was strong and she wanted to respect that.
Our battle is compleeete. We were hoping that our kind, benevolent GM would act as the judge and decide who won the battle... Cause we couldn't.
I've edited my post, but given Hiro's new-found lack of Roommate, I'ma just gonna sit and lurk until the dinner most probably.
Oki doki then, I'll get around to editing my post to say he was the first into his room and wait patiently from there.
So I'm assuming that Hiro just has a single room now? Unless you want to reopen Mr Pink's slot in the RP, in which case I'd be happy to shack up with whoever takes his place.
'The Realms of Magic', the first large scale MMORPG to fully function with virtual reality software has finally been released and on the launch day, everyone who had bought the game found a letter in their mailbox.
"Welcome to 'The Realms of Magic'. This game is more than meets the eye, the world is as large as the planet Earth, there are limitless levels to play through and numerous monsters and dungeons to conquer. But, more importantly there is a great secret within the world. The first group of players to find and solve my puzzle will be greatly rewarded, both in and out of game. I am watching. Good luck. -signed the developer-"

Within seconds of the game starting, people were forming huge guilds and groups in order to hunt down this 'secret and reap the rewards'. but, of course, the digital world comes second to the real world and a lot of people only have this long summer to play the game, so time is of the essence!

That was a pretty crap intro, but I am probably too sleepy to really be typing this right now... Anyway, my plan was for a generic MMO RP with elements of out of game stuff happening also. My idea was kinda like a split between a fantasy adventure and generic slice of life RP in between questing. It 'ain't the most original plot, and I've never really GM'd an RP before, but I still think it sounds like fun. Any interest/questioms
@Rika I would believe that's the first time anyone has referred to me as manly... :D
"Hurry up. We are going to be late." Hiro snapped at his driver, folding his arms and huffing slightly as he peered out of the car window, foot tapping impatiently. They had been driving for at least an hour in order to get to the academy and Hiro was starting to question whether that nagging sensation in his stomach was simply boredom from the long drive or whether he was actually nervous about starting a new school. He tried to distract himself by judging the bystanders on the pavement, a personal favourite past-time of his, but was struggling to keep focus. He had spent all night deciding which of his precious possessions he would bring with him. He had seen pictures of what constituted as a room at the Academy, which was at least a quarter of the size of his room at home, and knew he only needed to bring the most important things. Of course, there was his clothing and his laptop (top of the range, naturally) but he had trouble narrowing down his collections of gadgets and electronics. He finally settled on simply bringing a nice set of speakers wired to a docking station for his iPod that he had built himself and a mixing board that he messed around with when he was truly bored. It wasn't much, but he knew he could survive living the student life, part of him even believed it would be an 'adventure'.

After what felt like an eternity in the car and a short strength unpacking his bags from the car, Hiro finally found himself walking into the main building, carrying more baggage than most of the new students. He had penned his dorm number on the back of his hand in case he forgot, but he had spent the last week drilling it into his mind. Hiro's eyes darted across the courtyard as he took large demanding strides across. Unsurprisingly, the school's populous mostly consisted of what Hiro considered 'artsy types', the kind that looked unclean, uncivilized and would most probably spend their adult days serving coffee or whatever. In his mind, he was certainly the most civilized of the bunch. He walked proudly, aware of a few people looking his way as he strode through the doors like he owned the joint, to be perfectly honest, Hiro adored the attention.

After ten minutes or so of navigating the building based on a recollection of a map he had glanced at, Hiro eventually stood within eyesight of his dorm room's door. He hadn't considered the fact that there was a chance he would have a roommate, the idea of which made him shudder. The rooms were going to be small enough, let alone sharing with someone else. The idea of someone else, using Hiro's things without his permission? It was quite possibly the scariest thing he had ever had to deal with. With a deep breath, Hiro took a confident stride into his new room and allowed himself a sigh of relief. There were two beds, but for now they were both empty. Hiro tossed his things onto one of the beds (of course, the nicer one) and began to unpack, starting by setting up the expensive speakers he had brought with him
