GUYS IT'S HERE

Here Be Dragons
It was cold. Too cold. The snow had yet to fall for the day, but Addi knew it would come. It always came. She stared off into the distance, wondering if she was the only girl to ever have washed up on the shores of Berk without a political agenda. The Vikings of Berk still didn't trust her. She didn't blame them; she wouldn't trust her either.

The sun was setting, and it was getting dark. She knew it would snow all night. She needed to get back to the Hall. She was living there until she was able to build her own house. She still didn't have the skills or the strength to do that, but she was helping out around the village. Maybe someone would start to like her and offer to help her out in return. Maybe...

The villagers may not trust Addi, but they sure trusted the dragon that rescued her. In fact, they were constantly complimenting her and stroking her scales and telling her how wonderful it was to find a new species of dragon that they had never seen before. Hiccup and Fishlegs were particularly interested in her. Addi had halfway bonded with the dragon out of necessity, and the fact that she felt she owed the dragon her life. She was determined to pay back her debt one day. Maybe when she did, she could find a way home.

************************************************

The dragon watched her girl for some time before she began staring past her at the incoming storm. She waited patiently for her girl to return to the Hall, where a nice, warm, cozy blanket waited for each of them. The dragon wasn't a hot-burning dragon, like a Nightmare or a Gronkle. She had needs. Usually, her kind never came this far north, but she needed to be with her girl. She always has.
Here we are, guys! Finally, we're going somewhere!

Dark. Cold. Storm brewing on the horizon. Snowing lightly already, though that's something we're all used to by now. The sheep are huddled, the vikings are in their houses, and the dragons are roosted.

Here, our heroes are found, on the island of Berk, or places similar and nearby.

Join us with your own character- tell us what you look like, how old you are, where you're from, and tell us about your dragon. We'd love for you to join us on our adventures in the the world...of Dragons.

You can use any existing dragon or create your own, as long as you can provide an image for it.

I am 3 years younger than the youngest person here you geezers. XD

Completely counter-productive. XD
I do that too. XD I took three days to make a character once. She was a snow-leopard girl, and she was obsessed with her big, fluffy tail. She constantly talked about it. It annoyed the DM, even though he said it was fine, so he pitted us against a dark elf that was 20 levels above us just so he could break my tail.
Ah HA! We have a tabletop nard in here! :D

Good to see fellow geeks around!

I D&D'ed a few times. Loved it. Met a guy that CREATED a ruleset for a new tabletop called DiceWars. I still have the paperless rule book and guidelines, though he's published the actual book. I'm planning on GMing a game sometime (if I can ever FIND time) with a layout, world, and story that I've had in the back of my head for about 8 years now. It's a very non-linear story as of this moment, but I kept it that way on purpose so that I could HAVE a tabletop with this particular setup.

Wen all I said and done, if the campaign runs smoothly and we get a good story out of it all, I'm going to write a book series based on the events in the campaign.
Wow, guys. For the most part, now I don't feel quite so old.

Except for you teenagers.

Well, at least I can sleep tonight knowing that there are still some younglings that know how to properly set up a basic sentence and how to spell real words. You have restored my faith in the next generation.

I knew coming back to RPG was not going to be regrettable.

I love you guys. :D
Name: Adeline "Addi" Featherfoot
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 121 lbs
Description: Addi
Defining marks: a crude, almost bunny-shaped birthmark on the back of her left bicep
Personality: Generally good-natured, but stubborn, hot-headed, and determined. She is habitually competitive, even if there isn't a competition to be had.
Bio: Some time ago, she was found shipwrecked on Berk's lower beach. A strange dragon was anxiously sniffing her and guarding her against other things that would want to eat her. When she woke in a strange bed with a strange dragon, she was terrified, but quickly adapted to life on Berk and learned to trust her strange new friends.

Dragon's name: Thremyr
Breed: Perilous Poisonclaw
Classification: Unknown
Description: Thremyr
Personality: Serious, guarded, but on rare occasions, she can be playful. She is extremely (and sometimes annoyingly) protective of Addi. She has a tendency to sing when she is in a comfortable and agreeable mood.
