@Melonhead - Just pointing out one thing; the Archivist was running straight forward towards Fuchsia. Which means that even if he was aiming for the dirt behind him, which he wasn't, the rocket would still come straight towards the Archivist. - I have no issue with him dodging it, of course. But he's going to have to do so. When he does, keep in mind that the rockets will self-destruct if they get close enough to do some damage. So if he's Matrix dodging it, it's going to blow up in his face, if he's moving out of it's path entirely (by two-three meters) he'll be safe and sound.

I don't know if the Archivist has the ability to stick to the ground with his legs, but if he does, you probably want to mention that in your post as well, if not, well, the 140kg spider is probably going to be pulled into the air by the upwards force Fuchsia put into his jump.

And if I wanted to be really really nitpicky; Fuchsia is wearing pants, seeing his muscles (of which he has little to show) would be kind of hard. It is, however, very obvious that he's about to jump, so I really have no issue with the Archivist identifying it as such ^_^
Quick question. The technology level is obviously very fantasy tech and whatnot. How does that affect medical progress? Is crazy genetic science along the lines of "The Island of Dr. Moreau" too far out? If not, what would be too far out?
Alright. I'll go ahead and edit my post according to the rulings :)

Edit: Le done.
Gotcha. Does the web continue to travel towards Fuchsia after exploding the rocket?
Then I will build a sea nation on it. Sweet.
Awh. I guess no one saw my question; I was inquiring upon the north eastern island's status of vacancy, and if I could claim it.
No worries.
The rockets explode upon impact. Ain't no pushing those things back. The web is not penetrating in nature. It specifically says that it's purpose is to stick to things and hinder their movement. As solid as iron, sure, but it's no bullet, and would react poorly to an explosion going around in the midst of it. Again, just because an ability is charged does not make it a universal tool of destruction.

And of course I'd insist on the two projectiles meeting half-way, you make it sound like doing so lacks sense. They launched at the same time, so they reach the same amount of space. If we were to go at it in technical terms, the rocket would have gone even further. You keep telling me I should change my post according to the charged attack, when you yourself failed to specify in your own post that it did anything other than blow up upon impact with the rocket. I quote; "“How droll.” The Archivist muttered watching his net-like web collide with the rocket in mid-air. It wrapped around the projectile and exploded, far closer to his demonic foe than the spider himself."

I'm going to continue to reason that he's not going to be deafened by the explosion. Firing the Hellzooka without earplugs would produce as much, if not more noise, due to proximity to his head, against him. Since he's not getting deafened by that, it's reasonable to assume that he has at the very least a moderate resistance to loud noises of that nature. Even if he did not, temporary deafening and dull ringing as a result of a loud noise is not guaranteed; There's just a higher chance of it occurring.

At this point I suggest we get a ruling.
I'm afraid I'm about to repeat myself, but whatever. In no way did Fuchsia have a rocket explode in his face, or anywhere near enough for it to cause any damage to him whatsoever. For it to have been done so, the Archivist would have had to fire his web before the demon even fired his weapon, which would have been an interrupt. As it is, you stated that the Archivist launched his web as the rocket left the barrel, which means the two projectiles meet each-other halfway between the two combatants, unless you want to tell me the web is traveling at a higher velocity than the rocket.

Assuming it doesn't, that means the two projectiles collide half-way between the two points of origin. 15 feet away from them both. An uncharged rocket does not have that kind of blast radius. Fuchsia is, at the time of the explosion, moving backwards at high speed. A charged attack does not transfer it's power onto the attack it meets. Charging your web once makes it hard as steel (or was it iron?) - And would damage the rocket enough to blow it up. If it wasn't charged, it would have been soft as leather. No?

The terrain is covered in snow and sand. The sand is either wet, frozen, or both.
