Sent Rilla a PM :)

Gonna head to bed. Because I can.
Uhm. Which one?

Edit: Oh wait, now I see it.
Noted.

*Curls up and throws away tanky character concept*

Edit: Also, can I get a ruling in the tournament fight? Still waiting for that.

No but the strong man cannot kill the fat man with a single punch, but the fat man can sustain much more damage because they are the same tier. To wit...Butterbean the boxer was a huge tub of lard but he could knock out faster, physically much stronger fighters, and he himself was also knocked out by them.

Ah. So basically, we don't have to invest in defenses at all, because they scale automatically with tiers?

Edit: As in, we don't need to write on the character sheet; "This guy is really sturdy." - Because we can all go by the assumption that they're as sturdy as everyone else in the tier, yeah?

I much prefer narrative and cinematics to structured things.Just Saiyan.

Me too, but in a place where we are to follow a structured rule-set, I think it's good to know exactly what those rules mean.
That actually brings me to a follow-up question.

If they are the same tier, but one of them is more specialized (focused) on one attribute than the other, do they still dish out the same physical damage?
Imagine one character having invested all his abilities and focus into strength, and the other dude is a physical weak fat man who can shoot fireballs. Would their non-prepped punches hit for the same amount of force?

The 8 ton punch won't kill the other fighter. It's like in real life, boxers have different punch strengths. Mike Tyson punch PSI was about 1,800. Pro MMA fighters throw a 1500-1600 psi punch. With Quinton Jackson throwing an 1,800 psi punch. Since they are in the same category as fighters, the punches will both do damage with a chance for a knock out. An average boxer has a 600-1200 psi punch and a normal unskilled human 300-600 psi. The differences between the fighters is not much at equal levels, a drop off at lesser fighters and a huge chasm between top fighters and a normal man. If the other fighter is stronger the damage will hurt but both will hit equally hard. An 1,800 psi punch vs. a 1,200 punch isn't much with skilled fighters. One has a greater chance of a knock out but both can do the job. And this is what you are taking about.

I don't think you understood my question. Heh.

I'm refering to the rule stated on the first page on this place; "2) Power is determined by the content of prior posts. The more the attack is described and noted in context of the exchange of posts between characters, the greater the strength of the attack or defensive maneuver."

My question is; Does that mean that if two characters of the intermediate tier, one focused on greatly on physical strength, let's say that's the Hulk, and the other focused on all-around balance, that being Captain America in this case - If the Hulk wants to smash a training dummy, and he writes two sentences describing the attack, and Captain America does the exact same thing, do they do the same amount of damage to it?
Quick question on the rulings of how the fighting system works.

Say player A has a character that can punch at a force of 8 tons, or whatever the term would be, and Player B has one that can punch at a force of 4 - Would the two hit equally hard, due to the equality of posts rule, regardless of actual output strength?

So, I'm still working on my current character (s). After actually reading through the current character roster and making rough comparisons, it's come to my attention that they are completely outclassed by literally every asswipe in the CD thread and just barely register as low-tier characters). Frustration, , complaints, and an overall 'fuck this shit' attitude aside, I suddenly have this urge to have a sort of battle featuring either mecha or monsters of unusual size. Yes, my sense of disbelief has just been told to go piss off somewhere else.Does anyone have a character for something like this that'd be willing to fight me with?

Sounds like fun :)
He's in mid-air. Fuchsia jumped up at him and swung his club, using the added momentum and whatnot.

Edit: It would probably be easier to just read the latest posts *Shrug*
