"Had a feeling that she would still act like this," Slyph wasn't really surprised on Corentine's current mental state.

"So...are you going to introduce yourself to me or what? I did give you my name," Corentine said, at least trying to show some friendly side of her as opposed to how harsh she was upon seeing Takahisa here.

"You should go to sleep, it's quite late and dark outside," Umiya says, even though she shows no sign of going to sleep or anything related to rest. This may be a side-effect of being immortal, that Umiya had no need to sleep, no need to eat or drink, not even a need to breath if it came to that.

"Well then, let's get going shall we?" Yukari said with a smile at the mentioning of another portal appearing nearby. Yukari had a feeling that this was almost like the work of another boundary youkai, but then again, there wasn't much youkai outside the world of Gensokyo, so it did ring up the question on what all of this was being caused by.

"Kaika just disappeared I guess, we both got separated as soon as we got here. How about you? I don't really get why you're here after all of that stuff happening a few weeks ago," Takahisa sighed.

"Just happened to get here, nothing more. Luckily I managed to find you," Corentine shrugged, not seeming to care as to why she was here in the first place, which didn't seem to make any sense to Takahisa.

"Oh, alright. Just curious, but what's up with your left eye?" Takahisa was curious as to why she was covering that eye with cloth.

"Not anything you need to know," Corentine immediately snapped back, obviously not wanting to talk about her eye, and then saying as she noticed that Takahisa was with some other people here,"I'm Corentine Maaske..."

"Well...this girl happens to have this pact with another Spirit, like how it is between me and Takahisa, it's just that she..." Slyph explained that this girl was just like Takahisa, having a Spiritual Pact, but was interrupted by a sudden appearance.

"Oh, Takahisa! Slyph! I haven't seen you two in awhile!" a girl exclaims as she goes over to them, which actually shocked Takahisa.

"C-Corentine? I thought...I thought you..." Takahisa stuttered with his words in a manner of disbelief.

"What? I told you and the others that I could handle it back there, you make it sound like I died back there against all of those Shadow Replicas. At least I'm not that fragile," the girl, Corentine, said this as if it were no problem.

"Hey, are you trying to say that I'm fragile?" Takahisa could tell that she wasn't really that fond of him and the others, especially after some incident.

"What do you think I'm trying to say? Anyways, what the hell are you doing here? I thought that Kaika was supposed to be with you," Corentine rudely said back, crossing her arms and not caring that Takahisa was sitting with his new friends here.

"Huh? What are you talking about Slyph?" Takahisa was a little puzzled with what the Spirit meant, and he knew it wasn't describing Bernkastel.

While she did look out of place since she wasn't really from around here, the most noticeable part around this girl was that she was wearing some cloth that covered her left eye, like a makeshift eyepatch. She looked like she was at least 15 by the looks of it. Not even minding the people that would see her literally trespassing the area, the girl made her way towards the mess hall as if she actually knew where Takahisa was.

Holding the piece that it claimed to be a part of Kaika's soul, the crystal shard dissolved into the shadow's form, almost like absorbing that piece into it's darkness. As that happened, Kaika, who was unconscious, started to show signs of intense pain as part of her soul was taken in by the shadow being. "No surprise that Virgilia's up for training you, but your....situation is really complicated by the sounds of it," Eva commented, taking in mind of his current state,"So really though, do you really need my help or something?" she said with a raised eyebrow, since he did come up to her in the first place.

The darkness around Kaika had her hold up the blade in a desperate attempt to block the beam of light, as the darkness did not have enough control to have Kaika evade the light. Due to Kaika's will to not be controlled that easily, the blade was not enough to block the beam, and the light hit it's mark. The darkness armor shattered apart and faded away into nothing, but the dark presence still resided inside her in a weak influence. Any more hits of light while still inside her, and this dark presence wouldn't get out of this situation that easily. Gathering itself together, the darkness inside Kaika began to exit her body, but something was being taken from her as Kaika let out a scream of pain. As soon as all of the darkness had exited her body, Kaika immediately collapsed to the ground unconscious, and all of the darkness that came out of her body formed together as a humanoid silhouette. The shadow silhouette took a glance at Kaika, and a distorted voice echoed from it in a taunting manner,"Ş̴̨͏ļ̧̡̀͡e̷e̡͜͞p̶̕ ̨t̷̨̀͏͝i̷͟ǵ͜h͝͏t҉̴̡͜͟.̸̛͏.̀͢͞.̧K̸̢̛͞a̢̕̕͟į͡k̵̛͟a̵͜.̷͡҉"

"So you can talk....then what did you just do to her?" Riku could tell that this shadow being must be up to something if it decided to exit out of her instead of just staying in her body.
