"Even this is some long and confusing riddle, this isn't above of the level of reasoning for me. Besides, we might run into something else related to this later," Erika shrugged, not seeming so creeped out by it. Deciding the pendant might be useful, Erika puts it around her neck for safe keeping. "With all riddle solving aside, does anyone have a clue on why this place is so...cluttered with mess and chaos?" Erika asks, pertaining on the strange situation in this city. "Asking the wrong group of people, we have no clue at all," Niv simply says, and also not giving his full trust in this girl at all.
Once the envelope was opened, there was a strange letter that contained a quite lengthy riddle that wasn't of good meaning. There was also a strange pendant that had a strange butterfly symbol on it. "Well...whoever wrote this is into black magic," Nivlac commented as he read this riddle, a little uncertain that Erika was just the unfortunate receiver. "It does sound like that...then again, I'm not even sure what it could possibly mean in the long run. I don't think we'll run into that...Beatrice mentioned in there. That, I can assure. By the way, I'm Erika Furudo, a detective," Erika says, scratching her head as she pretends to be puzzled by the riddle. Even so, she never really solved the Epitaph at all before being sent away by Bernkastel. She also takes this chance to introduce herself. "...Nivlac, or just Niv if that floats your boat," Niv says, deciding to finally introduce himself. However, he did feel a little suspicious by this Erika character.
"Er...who are you?" Nivlac noticed that Erika had randomly ran up to them, and it was obvious that she wasn't from here from her appearance. "I have this weird letter after waking up here, and I didn't know if I should open it or not. I mean...it's a little weird that I wake up in a place I don't know and left with some odd envelope," she says with some curiosity, just acting just so someone could open it up for her. There was some weird message that Bernkastel had inside that envelope. "...so...you want us to open the envelop to see the letter inside with you?" Nivlac rose an eyebrow at this girl...this was suspicious after all. "If you want...I'm just scared to open it on my own. Anything could be in there," Erika says with a nod.
Bernkastel only sighs and disappears in a cluster of blue butterflies. For now, she'll let Erika do what she usually does best, and then continue on with her "game" from there.
Battler turned his attention towards the city they were close to, seeing how it was quite different than what he has been to before in his human years. "Maybe looking around in this city would do us some good, like information or even that deranged scientist that started this mess," Battler suggested for the next course of action.
Don't worry, Erika's just a NPC for now, going to be quite soon once Bernkastel sends her back to oblivion. Erika is a "piece" to be used by Bernkastel, so there might be times where you would see Erika again. ^.^
"Hm, then I'll leave you to your doings. I have my own plans to bring about the illusions of the witch to this gameboard," Bernkastel blandly responded, not entirely impressed at all yet. A single blue butterfly flutters over to Bernkastel, and then forms into a girl that almost looked exactly similar to Bernkastel. Only her eyes and hair were the only differences. "Is there something that I could do, Lady Bernkastel? I swear that I, Erika Furudo, will do it immediately!" the girl says to her master, as if she wanted to prove herself. "Before I throw you back into oblivion, I want you to take this letter and stick with a certain group of people for a short while. It mustn't be too difficult to find this group, they are quite obvious. Now get to it...or you're going back to oblivion sooner," Bernkastel briefly explains the details to her piece, a letter manifesting in her hands as she hands it to Erika. "That I could do Lady Bernkastel. I won't let you down," Erika says happily, and then runs off to where the group would be.
"Would hate to live here," Nivlac says in response to Yang as he comes back from freeing most of the trapped people of the building, crossing his arms. However, he sees a girl that had blue-violet hair, a fancy dress, and an envelope in her hands. Might be another person stuck in this mess...
As the group headed towards the city, Battler the Endless Sorcerer was watching them from afar, obviously knowing that Eggman was responsible for the whole mess. "So...this is some new gameboard that myself and Beato haven't touched yet...I might as well get myself familiar with the group here. It might not be a great idea to go solo," he says as he disappears in a cluster of golden butterflies. Moments later, he had reformed from that same cluster of golden butterflies in a placement much closer to the proceeding group. "Excuse me, but I suppose we're all in the same mess here. You wouldn't mind if I joined the group. I'm Battler Ushiromiya by the way, the Endless Sorcerer," he introduced himself to the group, though...he had a little irony in his mind. In the past, he had rejected the existence of magic after the Rokkenjima incident, but ever since becoming close to the one that drew him into this cycle, Battler wouldn't had imagined that would he had sided and accepted the existence of magic.
It's all good. ^^
"I am Bernkastel, the Witch of Miracles. I only came here to alter this gameboard, it lacks it's gamemaster. If there was a gamemaster here, your status as god wouldn't have a single importance. However, that isn't my case. It has been quite awhile since I've played around and thrown away the pieces...or in your understanding, the lesser beings," she said with that unchanging emotionless face. To Bernkastel, the cruelest out of all of the existing Witches, all of this happened to be child's play to her, messy and poorly orchestrated to be a perfect gameboard in her likings.
As Nivlac managed to get some more people free from the burnt debri, he hears another scream from a distance. "Are you fucking serious?" he uttered, knowing that someone abnormal was behind this.
While Freddy was still in the dream world, Bernkastel happened to follow him there. "You are quite an amateur. These murders are incompetent, someone will figure out the pattern. It is boring to see murders carried out in a way..." Bernkastel sighed, actually unimpressed by these murders. How to please a witch? It's best not to know.
