Niv blinked at what was going on, but continued to walk down the street, hearing that Crimson tell Wulf to follow him.
"Rather than reversing, you could say preventing too," Erika added in for Yang, who seemed confused.
"That's one of the spots of the murders. Apparently the culprit managed to set the place on fire after killing the victim. Probably to get rid of the evidence," Niv explained for him, only knowing a bit on what happened earlier.
Soon, Erika came back to Charles's group, as if whatever she did earlier did not happen. "Sorry if I were gone a while, is there any progress that I've missed?" She asked the group curiously.
Battler had a feeling that they were really in a world that they were fiction, but didn't want to bring it up as it would be a long explanation. Even the Endless Sorcerer himself didn't like explaining for a long period of time on something that is so simple to understand. He was about to reply to Alex, who had an idea to get a "Sega Genesis", but then saw someone that looked oddly familiar to him. Slipping away from the group for a bit, he runs up to this familiar person. "Excuse me, ma'am!" Battler called out to this woman, a woman that looked like the human form of his beloved witch: Beatrice. "Huh? What is it?....and what's with the opera cape?" the woman turns around and looks a little confused towards this man. "You...you don't recognize me Beatrice-chan? I'm Battler Ushiromiya...your opponent?" he stutters a bit, she looked almost as if she really were Beatrice. "Don't know you, alright," the woman says to him bluntly and was about to walk away, but he tries to run in front of her. "You're just playing around with me again, aren't you Beato?" Battler asks one more time, but these words were just nothing to this woman. "Stop calling me that! And stop following me you cosplay stalker!" the woman shouts at him before stomping away from him. I should had known...she wasn't Beato, but...but she looked so much like her...is it possible that she could be the incarnation of Beato in this world? Battler thought as he sighed and went back to the group. Hopefully they didn't notice his attempts to get the lady's attention, it was really embarrassing...even for the Endless Sorcerer.
Just an idea, haven't thought of the exact plot yet. Any takers though? ^^
"Not really, just met them some time ago after ending up here," Niv says, not knowing any of the group members personally. For a moment, he actually missed that hot-headed fighter Zack. Still, he knew that they had to get this dilemma out of the way before handling his own deeds back at Maplemation City. Niv kept on walking, the burnt down building in sight not too far.
"Then I suppose we can start walking," Battler said, having a feeling that the crowd would come back soon.
"Then let's go before they do start to move on without us," Niv said, hands in his jacket pockets as he started to walk towards the direction to where the group was. He knew that Crimson would follow him anyways, but he could had sworn that he heard some voice off from the distance. Though, not seeing the need of checking it out since he assumed there were a ton more people that would notice it, Niv continued his way towards the group's location.
(** - Red Truth)

Erika turns around to see Charles, and says with a smile,"I'm just doing what I do best for my Master before I am not needed anymore. It's all a part of a game. Even if you know now, **I, the detective, cannot be the culprit, it contradicts Knox's 7th. The detective cannot be the culprit.** Now that I've said that in the Red Truth, it has to be true. I suppose that I'll be off. I do have some time before I am called back to oblivion by the Witch of Miracles." As she spoke those words with the Red Truth, those words physically manifested next to her in the color of red. Soon, Erika began to walk away once again, but this time, there was a twisted smile on her face. As if she had done good progress for Bernkastel.
"The only downside is that it doesn't work when I'm hit by anything magical," Niv shrugged, remembering that all of the people that had defeated him in a MBR had used magic,"By the way, I can take you to where the rest of the group is. Hopefully they didn't decide to move onwards without me, I did sneak away without saying anything." He then offers to take him to where his group was, knowing that they were still at the site of the burnt down building.
Erika walked off to a nearby church, but walked off to an alleyway that was lacking any sign of light. "Master Bernkastel, I've done the first part of your request. Is there more that I have to do?" Erika said to the empty air, seeming quite excited to begin to be at work again. A blue butterfly fluttered in front of Erika, suddenly reforming to Bernkastel. "There is. I suppose you're up for it as you've done good so far. Take this key and keep it in your grasp, and seal the church doors with whatever you have. The first twilight of the Witch's Epitaph will be completed after you do so, I'll compose the rest," Bernkastel explained to her piece, handing the so-called detective with the church key, and then disappearing. Erika only put the key into her envelope which also had the riddle of the Witch's Epitaph. Quickly, Erika sealed all of the possible exits of the church, such as the windows and doors, with stickers. Once she finished, Erika began to walk away from the church, knowing that the Witch of Miracles was at work within the church for the "first twilight."
"Of course, we are all working together to find our ways back home, as well as find others that are involved in this mess," Battler nodded in understanding, but looked over to where the group was. Apparently, Alex seemed to be getting the attention of the people of the city, as if they knew him even as he was not from this city. Knowing past gameboards....is this some city where some of us are known through fiction? Battler thought, as that was the only answer to why people seemed to know him straight off the bat while Alex was clueless of them.
