Battler curiously observed the game's title screen, seeming new to him. Kenny didn't look that all surprised as he played some games like this. Yet, this game was completely new, since he's never heard of it before.
"For those who just arrived, I'm the english teacher for the year, my name is Lion Ushiromiya," he/she introduced himself/herself again for Ruby and Asaka, who just walked in. Going over to the chalkboard, Lion took a stick of chalk and began to write the word "noun" on the board. "Just a little warm-up before we jump into our first lesson. Can anyone tell me what a noun is?" Lion asked after writing on the board.
Reaching the history classroom door, Kaika took out her phone from her jacket for a moment, turning the music off and then putting her phone back into her jacket pocket. At the same time, she removed the headphones from her ears, having the headset worn around her neck. "Hopefully we're not in trouble for being late," she said to him with some joking tone before opening the door into the history classroom.
"I understand," Erika says shortly, seeming to be quite in thought. She wondered if this "deal" with the reaper had actually pulled through, or that it was some kind of trap. Either way, it would lead up to when Second Twilight and the Third Twilight would take place.
Glancing back after hearing something crash outside, Niv saw Crimson and that same robot that they passed by earlier. "God dammit," Niv grunted under his breath, deciding that he had to figure out what was going on with them. Immediately, he bolted out of the church and towards Crimson and Ketlin. "What the hell is going on?" he asked urgently, not minding that his jacket was still stained with that blood. Niv could find a way to wash it off later.
While Battler had been thinking, he noticed that they found a generator. By the looks of it, it seemed like it had a good amount of juice in it before breaking down. "That'll do. Maybe it would be enough for use," Battler said with a nod after thinking about it. Since Kenny came from the late 2000, he knew what a Sega Genesis was. Like the little kid he was, he was eagerly waiting to see if they would get it running.
This time, Kenny made sure he wasn't so close to the TV, god knows if he would be crushed by that too. Plus, it seemed like they needed it, and Kenny didn't want to ruin it by getting himself killed again. Battler walked up to the TV, checking it over. If it were broken, they would have to find pieces, but if it's fine, they just need an electrical outlet to plug the TV and the Genesis system into it. "Doesn't seem to be an any bad condition, I guess," Battler mumbles as he looked over the TV.
"C'mon, we can catch up to this thing!" Zack says as he chases after the dragon that was in the air, but turns to see that Yang wasn't following them anymore. "Er...Yang?" he stopped running and began to head back a bit to see if he could find her.
Niv only doesn't give a single sign of attention to the reaper as he leaves, leaving Niv alone in this chapel with the murder scene and this strange creature that had started to eat one of the victims. "Hey! Fuck off!" Niv said as he shot another round from his ray pistol, an energy bullet shot towards the creature.
Kenny gave a nod, confirming Alex's words for him. It had been happening for almost his entire life, and Kenny didn't know exactly why it always happened. Battler was still confused by this. It was something that contradicted one of the Red Truths, that when someone dies, their body cannot be copied unless the original body is used up. Here, Kenny comes back to life in a new body that looks much like his old self, and that his old dead body was still under the piano, bleeding out. "Anyways, we should start looking for TV or even TV parts again," Battler said, trying to change the subject. Though, just to be safe, he stayed with Kenny just in case he were to die again. Of course, Kenny would revive, but it must be really traumatizing and painful to live and die again and again.
This didn't make any sense to the Endless Sorcerer. When someone dies, that body is what you use to revive someone, but to revive through another body was another story. Thinking that he should explain this to them, Kenny began to speak a lot, mixed with muffles. Out of everyone, Battler seemed to immediately know what Kenny was saying. "So...whenever you die...you wake up right after in a new body...do you know why that happens?" Battler asked, a little confused by the explanation, but wondered on how this became a thing with Kenny in the first place. Kenny only shrugs, which could mean that he doesn't even know why this happens with him all of the time.
While Alex and Link were busy fighting the piano and how Battler was frozen in shock, Kenny walks up to them from behind another garbage pile, even if his dead body was still under the piano. "Mmph!" Kenny said to get their attention, waving at them. "But...you just died...and," Battler looks right back and forth between Kenny's dead body under the piano and the newly "revived" Kenny right next to them.
"Well, the bell rang about a few minutes ago. We should get going to our class, I mean, we're definitely late already," Kaika remembered that classes probably started by now, and she was still out here with another student that happened to have the same History class as her. Again, going for the rebellious act for her "mission," Kaika keeps the headphones on, music still blasting from them but wasn't as loud as earlier.
"Language is what binds our communication closer, so it will be a handy skill to have," Lion nodded at Mizn's comment, glancing at the clock. Strange that more than half of his/her class hasn't arrived yet.
