B. Battler simply held his arms up in a defensive position, dark energy instantly generated to give him a shield against the swift swing of Shu's sword. He then had the dark shield manifest spikes that would extend long enough in an attempt to impale Shu.
Well...should had saw that coming... Sota thought. He wasn't exactly cut out for this kind of stuff. Seeing no reason to stay hidden, Sota steps into the sight of Hiei. "Alright, you got me. I was just curious on finding out where this is exactly...I mean, I'm pretty sure this is some other world..." Sota said as he revealed himself, trying to not seem like any sort of threat.
Probably...actually, I'm not so sure. The Witches' magic all depends on other people's beliefs. For example, if everybody acknowledges their magic, then the Witches would have their magic at a godly scale. However, if everybody manages to deny their magic (which is done after beating them in a "logic battle"), then their magic would be almost basic or even useless. Beatrice had already gotten to the point where she was almost unable to perform the most basic skills of magic after being denied that forcefully by Erika.

So, it all depends on beliefs.
The way I'm going to tone down B. Battler is just basically remove his darkness abilities, as most of his moves regarding darkness is just too much.
(Out of all my characters, Sota seems to be lonely. ^^)

After awhile, Sota woke up from being unconscious for a long time, groaning a bit from the dizziness in his head. "What...what the hell happened?" he asked himself, thinking it could had been some attempt of him being possessed by a demonic presence inside of him. Before he could question it any further, he could hear someone coming near (Hiei), and wasn't sure if he should engage or not. Making sure the white bandaging didn't come off of his left hand, Sota poorly attempted to hide behind a tree to see if he could find anything about this someone coming near.

B. Battler wasn't so surprised when his target had disappeared while in the air. Many of the witches and Furniture did that on a regular basis, it was easy to tell that it was used as some "defense" tactic. He then heard Shu appear to his left and was about to give him a speedy slash. However, he retaliated back with a powerful kick, just more than enough force to disarm him at the least.

Lambdadelta was just sitting on a floating chair that she summoned to the area, watching the fight attentively while eating popcorn.
"Funny to say the least. Regret is something that I have no relation towards..." B. Battler said with a dismissive wave. It was...sorta true. B. Battler never felt regret when having to murder his own family again and again in countless gameboards, and actually, he felt enjoyment every time he spilled the blood of his relatives. This other person, just plainly called The Doctor, something about this man was interesting. It wasn't so clear to him, but B. Battler felt like this Doctor could be similar to someone. Their mission is what got B. Battler's attention. All he had to do was...let a massacre start and continue naturally. Now this was starting to sound appealing. No, it was more than perfect, he could get to see all of the blood and agony thrown around, it was like the Rokkenjima Island murders but maybe even larger than that. "Sounds like a...wonderful mission..." B. Battler commented about the mission that was given, a slight but dark smile on his face grew.
"It must had been a wild guess for you to go for that school and for the terrorist to coincidentally sneak in the same school. Otherwise if the terrorist went for another school, no one would realize it as immediately as you did. Though, from what I hear...I find it strange that the terrorist did not just completely blow up that school just as the other places that same terrorist had attacked before. It must mean that the terrorist was demanding a certain person or thing from that particular school, and the reason why is left in obscurity. It must also mean that if her demands were on a certain person, that certain person would had been taken in for a police interview. It's all assumptions I could make of this," Madeline first responded with her replies towards the terrorist bombing and Light's thoughts on that. It sounded like she knew exactly what happened by how she happened to assume this from the top of her head with the fact that she was never there to begin with, and she just didn't hear this from the news as the news did not air it yet or that the news would not air too much information on the school bombing. "Isn't that everyone's thoughts? Thinking that everyone around them could be the one responsible for the 400 or more deaths. It's basic cause and effect. 400 people die in a day, people start to become paranoid and afraid, thinking that anyone could be responsible. If you also assume that a supernatural force can be a cause for this, then the effect would be that both everyone would have more paranoia and that scientific research would be aimed to figuring out this force. Honestly, it's quite ridiculous, but maybe it's possible by less than 1%. Who knows? Maybe there's a lot of the world we don't know yet. I rather not think so much, others would tend to that matter. I have no business to pay too much attention towards the culprit of the 400 deaths, it's most likely someone with the mindset that they could play god," Madeline explains her response towards Light's thoughts on the criminal deaths, the elevator door opening and she walked in and pressed "9." As much as she happened to have a clear view on the matter, she didn't want to involve herself in it too much. Sure, it was 400 deaths, but apparently even that had no surprise or interest spark up in her.
"Oh, I'm just going to be a little spectator. Don't want to tire myself out. That I'm certain of, since I'm the Witch of Certainty," Lambdadelta said as she backed away a bit, not wanting to waste her magic on these opponents,"My loyal servant, I want you to go and fight those two to the death, no holding back!" She then ordered Joan to go and fight Shu and Signum, making use of the first seal.

"Quite expected of you to not go into the action, Lady Lambdadelta. No wonder you always have Bernkastel do things for you," B. Battler says to comment about Lambdadelta standing away from the fight. He smoothly evaded the beams that were being shot at him, only a few just grazing past his clothing. His fists and legs were being shrouded in darkness as he made his way towards Shu, aiming to send him into the air with a powerful uppercut with darkness. It was surely enough to overpower the sword Shu wielded.
