I'll go make the change, then, Siphran! And I'm glad I interpreted the comms situation right, seems I don't always mess it up ;P. I did originally have Amis chancing that she might have an augment and sending out a message, but thought that was a little... contrived? It wouldn't be something assumed, as you said.

They're planning to upgrade soon; I'm sure it'll be fine.

^ Very true. What are you listening to, anyway?

A mixture of things - some Fireflight, ReadySetFall, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, that sort of thing, along with the truly heartbreaking stuff like Damien Rice, The Civil Wars, Angus and Julia Stone, and so on. I was listening to more metal earlier - stuff like Chiodos, Asking Alexandria, Bring Me The Horizon, etc. I've always had fairly diverse taste, so even in those days there was a broad range of stuff, but generally my tastes used to fall under metal/hard rock for the most part. So, unable to sleep, of course I'm just sitting here post-dawn headbanging :P

I have changed a fair bit, so it's very possible. Going to take that as a compliment though :DAnd I actually haven't talked to Seba since I was part of the Skype group, so...that's going to be a no. I don't really have the funds for it anyway.

I'm happy for it to be received that way xD and ah, fair enough - reckon you'll still do it one day, though?

See, I consciously know how old you are, and yet it still surprises me in seeing it.

EDIT: Ignore this; I don't make the best decisions regarding what to post late at night! xD I'll summarise: it depends whether you're the type of "emo" for whom the term was coined, or whether you were part of what it became, which is a wider social and cultural group that doesn't necessarily include the far darker aspects of traditional "emo" characteristics.

It's half three in the morning, so not precisely spectacular. Having major throwbacks to my emo years by listening to old music. Dat nostalgia. xD

The one problem with STEM is how conceited we all are about how good STEM is.Now that I've been getting into Engineering Education with my research I've noticed that we do pull a lot from the humanities (At least for their theories). I'm not talking about in the industry, but we definitely need the humanities on the Academic side of things.

I agree, and love studying subjects in all corners of academia - the whole sciences vs. humanities thing has just become an inside joke among my friend group. I think that it's important overall for people in either corner to take an active interest in the other. There's always knowledge and skills that can be appropriated and applied to one's own field and interests. Hell, there are huge problems with articulation and effective communication in the scientific community sometimes, and many could do with learning something from English majors.

Protagonists are nerds.
Go STEM subjects. Last time me and my friends were drunk we got in a huge argument regarding STEM vs. Humanities and our side ended up chanting "MATHS! MATHS! MATHS!" down the street. It was nerdtacular and embarrassing and I don't even regret it a tiny bit.
