A headteacher who wears excessive fake tan threatening to ban school pupils from going on a school trip they paid thousands of pounds for because they have brightly-dyed hair. As has just happened at my school.
I have no comprehension of why a pharmacy would sell cigarettes and alcohol in the first place. Really doesn't make any sense.

Ah, crap, I forget that no-one on RpG knows, I'm a full time carer, for someone that only needs supervision, so, jobsearching, is a no-go, sadly, cause I'd much rather be filling shelves or something like that, as for learning to draw... I should get back into that, thanks buddy ^_^

When did you start doing that? ._. I had no idea. Well, that's pretty damn good of you, mate.
Drawing's good because it just takes ridiculous amounts of time to get good at, but it's relaxing. Soaks up the hours!

Applied Criminology (I'm basically batman ;P). What are you studying and what do you want to study?

That's... actually incredibly awesome. Is it more the forensic side of things, or does it focus on the psychology of criminals or some such? I must admit my complete and utter lack of knowledge on that field!
I'm studying English, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics (Mechanics), and Physics at Advanced Higher level (equivalent to A2 in England). I'm also following the Applied Mathematics (Statistics) course, but can't sit the exam as it's at the same time as Mechanics and is classified as the same subject, "Applied Mathematics", despite being a completely separate course. I've applied for a mixture of mathematics and physics courses, and currently have offers from St. Andrews for Maths and Physics and Durham for Theoretical Physics.

I'm an S6 and I live in Aberdeen. I'm doing Highers too increase my chances of getting into my HND course. Once I get in and do the full two years of the HND course, I'll then do 2 years of University of a similar course and I'll get the same degree as if I did 4 years of the university course. The ol' 2 x 2. :) I'm looking to be in the field of either immunology or a zoology. Yeah, I also spend too much money on games. I love them way to much. Been an addict since the days of PS1s and GameBoys. :)

I'm S6 too! And I know how the system works, I have quite a few friends planning to do something similar and are going to college first. What HND are you looking at doing? Immunology sounds particularly fascinating - you can make a case study of me, I'm currently on antibiotics, fighting off cellulitis :P (don't look up pictures, you just get very severe cases and it's super-mega-motherhugging-gross.)

Aye, same here! Ah, I was talking about how the quality of Pokemon games has varied from generation to generation with some friends earlier - how we got onto the topic, god knows - and we all ended up reminiscing about our first games. Loving the Daxter avatar, by the way, I have played far too much of the Jak and Daxter series over the years...

I am, yeah! I'm working toward getting my secondary education degree. And I'm studying political science/social studies. Its all clumped together in a residential college at my university. I have an earth science minor.Mila is doing well! She's a major cutie.

Let me just communicate my respect, then - it's not an easy job and requires a lot of maturity and dedication. I think you'll make an excellent teacher, from what little I know of you. Is political science specifically politics as we colloquially think of it, i.e. government/federal policy/etc., or is it a broader perspective? My auntie did "Politics" at university, but it focused more on general social interaction between people instead, so I'm curious about the way your course works in comparison. :) And I've never been quite sure what earth science is, care to educate me?
I'm glad she's doing better ^^ How old is she now?

Also, interesting note on the gun point: many people here are perturbed by the mere sight of firearms, and don't find the ban against them a bummer at all. There's a complete lack of any "gun culture" here, it's one way in which the UK and US utterly clash. I'm only slightly more comfortable with them because I was part of the Air Training Corps for about 18 months and got to shoot a few times.

Halo, don't be jealous, it's actually pretty boring, trying to find a way to occupy my time while people are quiet on here, I daren't resurrect most of my old RP's, for fear of overloading myself, and I'm bored of gaming right now, to be honest.
As for your thanks, you're more than welcome, ever since the old guild's 'spamily' I've seen you as a kind of son/little brother, so, yeah, I'm gonna be proud of you setting the world to rights xD

Fill it up with jobsearching, man. Or pick up a new hobby, teach yourself Spanish if you have a tonne of free time, or how to draw, or sing.
That's very sweet of you, Andae. :)

An Enigma... Yes, that is I, and I was genuinely kidding, life is pretty good.As for being up to much, not really, gaming, drinking, RPing, the usual, haha. Glad to hear you're doing well buddy, and if I'm honest, I'm proud of you, go, take the world by storm.*Offers muffins and stores plenty of booze for when you graduate/turn 18 whichever happens first.*

Well, as I said, I'm glad things are going well. Sounds like things are pretty damn relaxed for you, can't complain! And thank you, Andae. I'm disappointed about the rejection from Cambridge, considering I may have been able to get in had I made different choices regarding my commitments this year, but I have some good offers I can be proud of. And I'll be graduating about a month before my 18th, not that that stops me from indulging in a little underaged intoxication now-and-again. ^^;

So, I'm the only unemployed person that's not in education in this game (Apart from maybe Nex, but I'm likely wrong)I feel so free xD

Part of me is jealous (mainly the part that doesn't want to write this essay on Fitzgerald or analyse Chekhov), part of me knows I'm glad to be getting my education! And last I heard Nex was in school, but that was before he was banned.

I'm podding along with uni work and shiz. Got food on my table and beer in the fridge so I can't complain :)

What are you studying?

I live in Scotland too! :D I'm pretty relaxed for prelims because I'm doing four highers and all I need is a pass at one of them to be viable for a certain HND course so I am pretty relaxed but I'm also doing well at them (hopefully :)). I'm spending too much money recently on games and movies. I recently re-bought the "Resistance" trilogy for my PS3 because I am so super psyched for ths RP. :D

Really? Damn, I don't think I've met another Scot about my age on here before. I'm in Edinburgh, myself. Are you S5 or S6 then, if you're doing Highers but also looking to go into an HND? I wish you luck with your exams, and with getting onto the course! And honestly, games and movies are a good thing to drop your money on while you have the loose cash to do so, they're theoretically unlimited entertainment.

I'm doing well. Pretty busy. Working, going to school full time, and teaching a delightful class of middle school students twice a week. When I have time, I ride my horse, shoot my gun, roleplay, etc.

Are you training to be a teacher, then? Or is it simply something you volunteer to do? And I forget what you're studying at the moment, forgive my poor memory. ^^;. Also, how's your hedgehog doing? I remember you going and getting that adorable little munchkin :3

Life is good. I am currently doing my prelims (which is basically practice exams) and I have reinvigorated my passion for RPing not so long ago.Overall not bad. :)Yourself?

Prelims... may I ask where you live? The only place I've heard that term used is here in Scotland! You're feeling confident about them, from the sound of things. As for me, well, I'm gearing up for my own set of prelims and am spending far too much money and time procrastinating by going out with my friends, so things are good here too!

Oh, you know me, Halo... Never one to complain.Life sucks! (Kidding)I'm grand, as usual, and yourself, my good man?

You're ever the enigma, Andae, I can never tell whether you're kidding or not. Glad to hear you're doing well, though - been up to much recently? I'm good, mostly, can't really complain, have a couple of university offers, doing well at school. Busy year for me, though.
Just to say to everyone, this is definitely running, it's just that Lettie has just started at a new school and is rather busy just now. I'll talk to her tonight and might write the opening post to get this started myself, with respect to the way she wanted to start this. In the meantime, how are you all? How's life in general? I know a couple of you already, but most not particularly well, and it's nice to get to know the people you're writing with.

That's a little much.

Intentionally so. I really have nothing against Nat; I actually find the oddness slightly charming in a way. :

That's a very healthy outlook. I know people like you do exist, I was just mainly focusing on negative ways people might deal with it.

I'd hope so, took me long enough to reach it. And fair enough, within the context of the conversation... I just felt like chipping in with my own two cents and personal experience about those sorts of feelings.

Honestly wasn't expecting huge amounts, but this is genuinely pretty incredible. Major jealousy on my part.
