I decided to reply to pretty much everyone, as this is a topic I'm pretty interested in. It certainly causes enough contention in my timetable - I was the only one in the entire year with exam clashes 'cause of my unusual split between English and maths/science subjects.

Right, okay, near as I can see Lettie is gonna be taking an extremely minimalistic approach to GMing this. I've spoken to her about it a few times but she's even busier than I am and nothing is coming of it. So I'll get a post up either tomorrow or Saturday, and we'll continue as normal, considering people are quite passionate about this RP. I'll consult with Lettie each time I post to see where it was supposed to head and will attempt to steer it in that direction, as I've never played Resistance and have but the barest of grasps on the storyline.

Sera, that's completely fine - I hope you enjoy your trip! This is already settling into a slow post-rate, to say the least, so I don't imagine you'll miss too much.
At least now you know from experience that asking answers from the prof isn't worth it. Just because he told you the answer doesn't mean you can't study the questions and solutions so you understand the process.

It's one test - stressing out about it isn't worth it, go in and do your best. It's too late to do anything else about it now, so you may as well not worry about being unprepared. Good luck!
I'm kinda curious about the general opinion of maths and physics as subjects here. I'm the only one at my school to be doing English alongside either Maths or Physics at this level, and distaste of the other side of academics is the one thing the pupils and teachers of each discipline both share. This is a roleplaying forum, so you'd imagine more creative types - those who prefer the humanities or artistic subjects - would typically be drawn here, but those sorts of generalisations and assumptions are as often wrong as right.
So, Spamians (is that the correct term?), what are your opinions/feelings on studying mathematics, and the physics derived from it? Love it, hate it, vaguely interested but not enough to study them, only in the sense of pop-science?

EDIT: Obviously a cruel spider-mollusk creature who has crawled from the depths of the underworld to torment arachnophobes with images of their brethren.

Female, based off of absolutely nothing. I could make a joke about the squirrel avatar liking nuts, but...
I was in a strange house somewhere. Think it was in London. All my friends had just left to go out clubbing for the night, and I was supposed to join them. However, a friend of mine who I haven't seen for six months and is volunteering in Malaysia was there, and we decided to just stay home and spend time with eachother instead. Think my brain is trying to tell me to stop going out and getting drunk and start working harder to maintain the relationships that are important to me, even if they're not the ones that are most immediate.
Here in the UK, it's chilly, grey, and raining. Forever.
I'll talk to Lettie about it again... cue sighing. I've got 5 exams and a national debating competition before the end of next week so I'm fairly hectic.
