Name:
Jesse Cromwell

Age:
18

Gender:
Male

Gemstone:
Ruby

Personality:
Jesse is described as the most kind, caring, and paternal. He can be very sarcastic and quick-witted. Over the years, he’s grown from the meek, shy and very much arbiter person, to a confident, charge-taking, quite comedic cynical young man. Jesse is often described as the glue that holds his friends and family together. He takes care of his loved ones, no matter what strange problems they have. He is the kind of guy with a sense of humor. He just knows how to have a good time, and he likes to make sure everyone else around him is having as much fun as he is. Though some people underestimate his toughness, but he's not afraid to stand up to anyone who mocks him. He's not exactly the perfect partner but his flamboyant personality will surely provide comic relief.

Gifts (Limited to Three):
Molecular Speed Manipulation – The user can control the speed of which molecules travel. They can accelerate molecules to the point of combustion and decelerate molecules to make them halt altogether:
  • Molecular Immobilization – more commonly referred to as freezing, is the ability to slow down molecules to the point where they move so slowly that objects and people appear completely motionless, simulating the stoppage of time in a localized range. They are capable of freezing select objects, only a part of a person while leaving the rest of the body in motion, multiple objects, or freezing an entire area. Similar to time-stop, the targets are unaware of anything transpired while they were frozen. This power is channeled through hand gestures and is activated through fear, frustration, or panic.

  • Molecular Combustion – more commonly referred to as blasting, is the ability to make molecules speed up to the point that causes an explosion. This is the advancement of molecular immobilization. The user is able to manipulate the molecules of a desired target so that the molecules begin to rapidly speed up with their movements. This molecule movement causes so much heat and friction that the object or individual that the user was aiming for, combusts or explodes. Users can also blow up inanimate objects such as doors, stones and cars. Though this may sometimes create and cause a lasting fire. However, skilled users can exploit this and start fires purposefully. It appears that blowing up an inanimate object or another power may on occasion create ripples in the air that will thrust things away. This is a side-effect of the explosion, not something that can be consciously controlled. It should also be noted that, some objects are too big to combust. The power is channeled through hand gestures and is triggered by anger.
(He will gain this later)

Bio:
Jesse was born in San Francisco as an only child. Growing up, his childhood was relatively normal. He got mostly everything he wanted, but he wasn’t a spoiled child. Since he lacked a father figure in his life, he made it his mission to be as friendly and paternal to anyone that needed it. Being very mature even at a young age, he was made fun of for acting like an adult. He would just brush it off and live his life. Originally being shy and meek, he’s been trying to make an effort to be more outgoing and fun. His sarcastic and quick witted jokes are what made people like him the most. He even found himself a nice boyfriend before breaking it off with him before graduation.

Around puberty is when his power manifested. He found out whenever he was startled or in a panic, he made things freeze in place almost like time stopping. Jesse had a hard time controlling it but managed to get it under control by high school. After graduating, he planned on attending college until he received a strange letter.
I'll be posting a sheet soon. ^^
That's why I have the motor skill thing crossed out for later use. He doesn't have the power now but I wanted it to develop in the far future as an extension to his "voodoo" persona. And I didn't plan on him using it on characters here; maybe NPCs.
Well from the show I borrowed the power from, it can be used for death without harm to the user but I didn't intend to use it for that which is why I didn't include it. And no, he has to do the injury to himself.

And motor skill manipulation isn't mind control. It controls body movements. They are perfectly conscious and can even speak.

But I can still make adjustments if need be ^^

Name:
Jesse Deveraux

Alias:
Voodoo

Age:
18

Gender:
Male

Skills:
Gymnastics – Voodoo is extremely agile and uses various somersaults and tumbling to avoid offensive attacks. He has also incorporated his gymnastic skill into close-quarter combat.

Espionage – Voodoo is currently learning and mastering espionage at the academy, the skill to infiltrate and gather information using disguises and stealth.

Powers:
Injury Transference – Injury Transference (or Empathic Masochism) is the ability to direct pain and physical damage to another by inflicting the injury on to oneself. It is also referred to as the 'Human Voodoo Doll' power. The user does not retain any of the injuries they do unto themselves which spawns a minor regenerative factor. This ability can only be used on one person at a time. Injury Transference is a conscious ability, meaning if it is not consciously activated it does not work.

Motor-Skill Manipulation – The power to control motor functions of others against their will. The user takes control over motor functions of others against their will as if they were under the influence of a voodoo doll. Subjects are still conscious, but can’t resist the user's puppet control. Like the latter ability, this power may only work on one person at a time but may develop into having the ability to control multiple people. If unaware of a subject’s presence or loss of interest upon maintaining control, the subjects are no longer influenced by the skill. Gesture and mimicry is needed to enforce actions upon subjects. This is usually done by hand and body movements. (Will gain this power later)

Equipment:
  • Pocket Knife

  • Large Pins and Needles

Personality:
Voodoo can come across as very cunning, intelligent, and manipulative. He gets what he wants most of the time. He has a tendency of being that playful mischievous type that does things good or bad to make himself feel better. Although when he’s by himself, he is a very quiet individual. Most of his personality conflicts with each other. He tries to hold his tongue, but ends up saying what he thinks and it usually isn’t in a nice way. With that said, Voodoo does not think of himself of being bad or a villain. He just does what he feels is right. Voodoo also has a tendency of making crude jokes and having a dark sense of humor.

History:
Voodoo grew up in the foster care system in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was bounced around from home to home, but none were willing to keep him. It was for the simple face he made his foster parent’s life a living hell. He would break all of their rules, sneak out of the house to drink, have sex, and other juvenile things. During his early teens is when he discovered his abilities and used it on his foster mother because she wouldn’t let him go out. From then on, he couldn’t keep a steady home. Although he was quite the troublemaker, he was a prodigy in math and making excellent scores in school.

Voodoo worked in a fast-food restaurant before he enrolled in the H.I.V.E. academy. During a shift at work, Voodoo was confronted by an irate customer, who insisted that he did not give him the proper amount of food. Voodoo, being gifted in math, firmly told the customer that his true intention was to get extra food for free and that he would not tolerate it. Angered, the customer insulted him and cussed him out. He retaliated by dipping his arm into boiling oil and transferred the resulting pain and physical damage to the customer's arm. Despite no evidence to incriminate Voodoo, he was let go from his job. It was at this time that H.I.V.E. found Voodoo and took him in.

Other:
H.I.V.E. Five :D
My sheet will be up soon. Just have to write out the history :)
That seems good too.
I don't think it should be set at the time of the show. During that time, the school didn't really have a good reputation especially to heroes. It should be down in the future where its made a name for itself and has the ability to produce multiple type of superhumans whether good or bad. Like a Sky High thing.

But that's just me >_>
I'm willing to join. I kind of have an idea for a character :)
Interesting batch of new characters we have :D

Should have a post in the IC soon. :)
