And we have quite an interesting cast. ^^

It felt so good to be back after a short vacation back home.

Danny sat in the front row of the auditorium with his legs crossed and his hands just on his knee. He sat up straight and proper as the new headmistress of the Institute, Kitty Pryde, spoke. He had always admired and looked up to her ever since he started attending the school. Being a former student and party girl, he knew she wouldn't be so uptight with the students. The stir of voices began to dimmer as the orientation began, causing Danny to take notice of everyone in attendance. So many eager and scared students, just like he once was when he first started. He couldn't blame them. Just finding out you're different from everyone else, and now you're living with strangers just to discover who you are to to protect yourself from the dangers of the outside world. That's a lot for a person to handle. Danny was not only scrutinized for being a mutant, but also for being homosexual. Being a part of two minority groups that received hate on a daily basis is enough to make anyone quit, but not this red-auburn head boy, which had a lot of volume and was styled up nicely. He's learned to be strong and develop tough skin if he's gonna make it out there.

He quickly adjusted his green scarf around his neck, part of his many fashionable ensembles he puts together. Not really dressy but not so casual, he wore a white v-neck shirt and some blue skinny jeans that fit his figure nicely. On his feet he wore black high tops and finished it off with a green scarf. He always had to wear something green which became a trademark of his. One of many others like being called a "flower child" or being ruthless when it came to encouraging others to recycle and save the environment. He admits he could be a bit overboard with being green, but with global warming and other natural disasters he feels its important to preserve God's green Earth as their home. But when he's not being an activist, he's really the most nice and timid person you could meet. Danny felt good inside knowing he could be one of those people you could talk to about anything and not receive any harsh judgments unless he's just playing with you.

On his left, Danny could hear the sound of a student drinking straight out of a water bottle as the headmistress went on with her speech. As the student began to empty out the contents of his bottle into his mouth, that loud cracking of the plastic bottle began to invade his hearing. After they were finished, the student started to crumple up the Ozarka bottle when Danny turned his head, his piercing green eyes staring at the new student.

"I hope you plan on recycling that." The student seemed taken aback at first, but nodded instantly and tried turning away from Danny's gaze. Danny wasn't the kind to be intimidating, but when it came to nature he automatically goes into 'take no prisoners' mode. Hopefully the students wouldn't test his patience on his first day of being a Teacher's assistant. He wanted to be the lovable Danny everyone knew and not a pain in the ass. Even though he was an aid, he was still a student at the institute and wanted others to be comfortable with him outside of class.

I mentioned that Danny was a teacher's aid in my CS. I was wondering if he could help teach biology since science and plants are his forte? ^^

Mutant Ability:
Plant Manipulation - The power to control plant-life. Users can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, even moss and (for practical reasons) fungus, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. The user can cause plants grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate plants by rearranging DNA structure, and revive withered or dead plants. They can use their power for defense and support by growing plants from the ground and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, or even to possibly use plant chemicals to heal people or objects or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects. Though less commonly activated by passive users, the ability may deal a series of offensive techniques on a target. Making the plants as weapons enables users to grasp and strike continuously with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly regenerate the withering weapons at the user’s will. They can cause horticulture found, i.e. wrap of vines, to grow and climb around a target's neck, causing choking, or even strike with plants. A more subtle technique is to release damaging toxins and pheromones, affecting targets in which conditions should be treated quickly with ailments.

Contaminant Immunity - The power to neutralize all existing detrimental contaminants in one’s body. The user's immunity, digestive, and other organ systems are enhanced or evolved far beyond that of a normal human's. They are completely immune to every form of contaminant known to man. The user is immune to all known poisons, toxins, venoms, viruses, bacteria, alcohol, radiation, etc.

Personality:
Danny is a sweet soul, always doing things to better him and others. He can come off as quite timid sometimes, but get to know him and he's outgoing and a ball of energy. He can be highly opinionated and cannot stand when people make a mockery of nature or do anything to harm it. He's the true definition of a tree hugger and will do anything to protect the environment. Although it is highly unlike him, he can be a bit witty and sarcastic at times when he's comfortable around certain people. Danny is very observant and can read a person almost instantly. He is very good at hiding his emotions so if he lets you in, you're someone special. However don't mistake his kind nature for weakness.

History:
Danny grew up in a stable household with normal parents. He was raised an only child and was home schooled most of his life until his freshman year of high school. Being openly gay, he got bullied and teased a lot from a few of the guys, but had a strong support system at home and had friends that stuck by him. Danny is your true definition of a tree hugger. He recycles and tries to only use products that don't harm nature in any way. Danny has been seen in many protests having to do with cutting down trees to put up buildings and other man made things. Not only is he a tree hugger, but he is a total vegan. He's opposed to the cruelty of animals or the consumption of them, but tries not to push that on other people. However, he does encourage his peers to recycle and use fewer products that harm the environment.

One day when he was at a protest, at age 16, the man that was driving the bull-dozer to cut down trees, came down and started getting physical with Danny. Due to his anger, he unconsciously made one of the nearby trees extend its branches and knock the construction worker out. Even though he didn't really know of his ability at that point, he completely became aware after he healed a dried up flower in a pot when he was merely touching it. Ever since then, he's used his ability for good, growing gardens and natural habitats for animals, growing gardens for people that had no food, using plants for herbal remedies, etc. He became quite the humanitarian and eco-friendly activist in under a year's time. He rarely used his ability for offensive purposes unless threatened. When he was 17, Danny and his parents were approached about attending the institute to give him the chance to teach him how to better use his abilities and offer him a place to stay there. Danny gladly accepted and has been living there for over two years.

Appearance and Style

Danny has a very slender frame weighing around 145 lbs. He is 5’8” and has normal Caucasian skin, auburn red hair that he styles up and green eyes. Danny is also described as being very pretty in the face and not having masculine rugged features. Even though he is male, he is known for having feminine curves especially in his lower body. He’s not strong like the average man and doesn’t really work out other than cardio. However, Danny is not too skinny and is able to fill out all the clothes he owns perfectly. His body functions like a plant. If it doesn’t receive the necessary nutrients such as sunlight and water for a certain amount of time, his body will become weak and his skin will turn into a sickly green color.

Danny typically wears anything that doesn’t come from animals. Most of his clothes are cotton or synthetic made materials. He likes the boys section of Forever 21 and also likes clothes from Urban Outfitters, Aeropastle, Abercrombie and Fitch, and Top Man. His style is described as up to date and preppy, but not too overdressed. He knows how to look nice while being comfortable. Most of his clothes are slim fit which shows off his body a little more. One of his signature traits is to wear something green with every outfit.

Pros & Cons of his ability

Pros:
With his knowledge of plants, Danny is useful when it comes to herbology and ailments. He can use his plants to heal or harm someone. You can often find him in the greenhouse making antidotes for the team’s usage. Danny is highly intelligent with a top 10 percent IQ and is great with problem solving and anything to do with the outdoors. He knows many sciences pertaining to nature and land making him an excellent helper in field operations. He's fast, quick thinking, and trained in espionage. Because of his Contaminant Immunity ability, Danny is able to enter high health risk areas, such as radiation and diseased places, without being affected as well as use any time of plant around his vicinity to his advantage.

Cons:
What Danny makes up for in brains, he lacks in physical strength. He isn’t one to work out so he isn’t that strong. He knows basic hand-to-hand combat and other basic survival instincts. As far as his plant abilities, they are weak in areas that are barren or have no capability of producing plant life. They are also weak against harsh elements such as ice, fire, lightning, and radiation.
