It's okay! I've had short ones as well.
Riley nodded. "Yes, he's a lawyer, well he's an intern. He's still going to school for it, so we don't have a lot of time together, but he value the time we do have." She said, putting another fork full of spaghetti in her mouth. "He's super smart. They just finished a case a couple months ago, and he won. Even in his little pretend cases they do at school he wins." She said, shrugging. "A lot more interested compared to us, I guess." She joked, drinking some wine.

She finished her food and took her empty plate and Alex's, rinsing them off and leaving them in the sink. "Come, look at some of my paintings." She said, leading him to the stack. "This one is my favorite." She said. She felt a little embarrassed showing it to him, but she did anyways. It was him, fifteen year old him, standing in the forest where she met him six years ago. He was in the clothes she first seen him in, and the background was a mix of greens, blues, and black. "It was the first one I painted- when I first moved here." She said, looking at him. "Also, one of my favorites." She said softly.
OLIVER QUEEN

"Trouble in paradise, Oliver?" Jake Owen said, looking at his friend. They were both in gym shorts and tank-tops, training. "Not at all, Jake. The boss wants me to put extra training in, he thinks he's close to tracking that solider dude they made awhile ago." He said, throwing a couple punches at a punching bag. "When do we go out? Surely not much longer." Jake said, taking a drink of water. "He wants to find him first, then we go. From what I heard, this dude isn't no human being. For god sake, man, he was created, and not the way we were." He said, looking over at his friend. "He's just basically a robot, it shouldn't be that hard." Oliver joked as they continued their training exercises.
As did I!
Riley laughed and shrugged. "Well, I aim to please." She joked. She nodded when he promised he'd go see her parents. "Good, you better keep that promise." She said, attempting to be menacing by waving her finger at him. She nodded at his comment. "I barely have time. When I'm not at work, I'm at work." She said, laughing softly. She noticed he was staring at the stack by the easel. "I get stressed a lot." She said, smiling. "Now, come on, lets eat." She said, going to sit down. When she did her phone buzzed on the counter. "Hold on." She said, grabbing up her phone. She smiled to herself when Oliver's name popped up along with a picture of the two in the park. "I'll just be a minute." She said, answering the phone.

"Hey, baby." She said, going into her bedroom. "Hey, babe. I'm calling to let you know I'll be working late, so I won't be coming by tonight, but I'll see you tomorrow. We've got a bunch to do in the office, big case coming up next month we're getting ready for." He said. Riley frowned, but didn't let her voice reveal to much of his disappointment. "Oh, okay. Well I'll see you tomorrow, remember we've got to search for a venue then go sample some cakes." She said. Oliver chuckle on the other line. "I'll be there to pick you up around lunch time. We'll go eat then do wedding chores." He said. "Okay, I love you." Riley said and when he returned it back, she hung up.

"Sorry about that, it was Oliver. He's working on some big case right now." She said, sitting across from him. "Well, dig in." She said, taking a bite of the spaghetti followed by a sip of wine.
I'm up (: and replied.
Riley smiled when she heard the buzzer. It had to be Alex. She walked over and spoke over the intercom, "Come on in." She pressed the button to open the door. She opened her door to her room and smiled, greeting Alex with a welcoming hug. "Hey, come on in." She said, closing the door behind him. "Dinner it almost ready." She said, heading to the kitchen. She had wine setting out and two wine glasses. She took the food over the stove and started preparing the plates. "I'm glad you came, Alex." She said, rinsing the pans off in the sink. "I hope you're hungry- made your favorite." She said enthusiastically. She had called her mom earlier to tell her she ran into Alex.

"Mom says you better come visit soon, they miss you a lot." Riley said, pouring the wine in the glasses. In one are of the loft there was an art easel with a half finished painting displayed, beside it a table stood with different art utensils on the top. "I've really taken a liking to art." She said, pointing towards the easel. "It is actually very relaxing. Oliver always tells me if I'm ever feeling stressed out, to do something that takes my aggression out to relieve stress, and painting does that." She said with a shrug. "After we eat, I'll show you more paintings I've done." She said. On the other side of the easel as a stack of different sized paintings she had completed over the years,
I replied but off to bed now! I'll reply as soon as I wake up!

Night-night! :D
Riley laughed and shook her head. "I'll take your word for it." She said. "Well, I really should be going. Here's my address, come on over and I'll cook you dinner. I've turned into quite the chef- and by that I mean take out." She said, laughing. "I'll see you later, say around 7-is?" She said, giving him a peck on the cheek. "We'll catch up tonight." She said, throwing her cup away. "Bye!" She said, waving at him as she walked out of the coffee shop and getting in her truck, she started it up and headed to her loft. She lived alone, after making an agreement with Oliver to not live with each other until they were married. She smiled to herself thinking about the engagment. They set the wedding date for spring, only four months away. The closer it got to her wedding day, the more nervous Riley got.

When she got to the loft, she parked and got out, going inside. It was spacious, and sometimes lonely. She kept it clean, not a thing out of place. Sighing, she hung up her keys on the hanger and took off the jacket, hanging it up on the hanger as well. She pulled her hair in a messy bun and headed to the kitchen. She wasn't lying, she could cook out a little, her best dish being spaghetti, her mom's special recipe, so she started preparing everything. While the noodles were boiling she went into her bedroom to change into a blue dress, it stopped at her knees and had thin straps. It was plain and looked both casual and classy, she topped it off by letting her hair down and running a straightener through it and black heels.

It was almost seven and she quickly finished setting the table and serving dinner, now all she had to do was wait for her guest of honor.
God d***
Haha xD I'll do one more post and go lay down. I'll have a very angry 2 year old if I don't get up when she wants me too.
