History:
James Schatten had no hardships growing up. He was a child during the rise of Renalta, a time that his family financially flourished in. His family members own businesses in a variety of professions. Bakeries, pubs, stone masons and smiths; the family could start its own settlement if it chose to even to this day. His father still owns the bakery that James grew up working in with the family.
The only complications that ever came into James’ life was his own doing. He’s always had some sort of infatuation about sneaking about and sticking his nose into buildings and high places he shouldn’t be in. As he started coming across more interesting places, he started his career as a thief. He didn’t need the money from trading his loot, and his family certainly did not, but the adrenaline of the moment is what kept him hooked.
At first, he would always get caught. Even though he’d manage to get away whenever this would happen, somehow his father would always find out. And so James would be punished..until he was never caught again.
Through time and time again of getting caught pickpocketing, sneaking around homes and off-limit buildings he had refined his ability to walk around without being seen in plain sight. Getting the crap beat out of him by his parents when they’d find out what new activity he’s done taught him not to get caught.
This later transferred over to when he was an adult. James refined his skills to the point where he could tell everyone he walked across that he never stole a coin from a in years. He kept up his act until he became a ranger for the Kingdom, where he served as an apprentice for seven years. He then was a Ranger for six years. During this time, he combined what he learned growing up with the skills he gained from his service.
When James was on temporary leave as a ranger, he moved on from his old tactics. Although he still worked with his family, he would sometimes go off “camping,” to put it in his own words. James used his skills to steal from bandits and highwaymen. He would go on stakeouts for them, always avoiding fights by keeping a distance. The only thing getting close to those fools was James’ arrows to their necks and chests.
A few days before he was invited to the Queen’s Blades, James decided to go sneaking around for the sake of nostalgia. He was poking around the home of a lord when he found a very nice cloak. He thought it looked much better than his old uniform cloak, and so he took it. It was after he put it on that James learned that he was wearing it the wrong way, and when he reversed it something wonderful happened. The cloak had turned him invisible!
James spent a long time looking in the mirror playing with the cloak. Far too much time, for the next thing he heard was the lord whose house he broke into yelling at him to return the cloak at once. The man fled the lord’s home as stealthily as he could, which was comparable to an ogre’s attractiveness. There was a lot of crashing and shattering, but that was mostly the lord trying to bash James’ head in as he waited for his guards.
James managed to get away though. A painting managed to bang the lord’s head good enough to knock him out, allowing James to leave before the guards arrived.
The following morning, the lord had given his statement to the authorities and they were on the lookout for James. Not specifically James himself but by the words of the lord which were, “a jerk with a goatee.” It was two days after this that the James was invited to join the Queen’s Blades. The choice was easy for him considering the lord he took that damn cloak from was starting to remember more about James’ appearance.

That Cliche Cloak - James is in possession of a cloak that turns him invisible. Although the cloak completely hides his appearance, it cannot hide sounds that he makes.
PersonalRomance: Doesnt matter to me so as long as I'm not writing anything pornographic (kissing is green light, it's not awkward to write). Keeping the romance option leaves room for more plot development anyways.
Play style: I enjoy action, but also careful planning. So as long as it's a challenging task, I'll have no issues.
