So I managed to survive the semester with a third of my sanity left. To my partners: I'll try to respond to everyone in the next week or so!

If I'm ever online during the week, it means that I'm probably procrastinating with something that I shouldn't be procrastinating with.

Bio

Hello there! I'm HiddenBeauty13, HB13, Hibbie, Beauty, Hidden, or whatever nickname you choose to give me. I have been a member of RPG since 2012 (I believe, don't quote me on this. I could be wrong.)

I am a pretty diligent roleplayer but I am very dedicated to my school work and I do take time from RPG to focus on school, especially since I'm a college student. So please do not be alarmed if I'm MIA for a week (or a few weeks or a few months), I'll be back and ready to continue roleplaying with you!

The sound of hoarse coughing could be heard echoing down the hallway that ultimately led to the king's chambers. No one botheree to go towards the disturbing sounds, though, as they all knew that doing so would only lead to the rising of the king's wrath. The king himself was on his knees, coughing into a silk cloth that he hoped would muffled the sound but soon realized that it could not silence it. With each cough, his body shook so violently that his kimono slide off his shoulders and onto the floor, revealing his body. His body was at its thinnest and signs of malnutriton were present. It was hard to eat when your throat was too sore to get anything down, or when your body seemed to reject everything that you ate.

After two more intense spells of coughing, it finally subsided, leaving the king with a sore throat and a burning sensation in his chest. Groaning, he slowly pulled the silk cloth away from his mouth and was not surprised at all to see the blood that had collected onto the cloth. He paid it no mind though; he knew that it was simply a new addition to the various stains that had already had their place on the once white cloth.

Tossing the cloth to the side, Hyugi realized that he no longer had the strengh to support his body weight and collapsed to the flood, breathing heavily. He had to lie there for a while until his vision stopped swimming as it usually did once he was done coughing his organs out. I wonder...I wonder how much longer I will be able to take this. The king thought to himself as he clutched at his neck. I've been able to ignore the affects of this since I ten...but I don't think my body can take it anymore. It was getting so bad that he often went days just lying in his bed, desperately wishing that his body was normal like everyone else's as he did when he was younger...but that wish seemed as though it would never come true at this point, which is something that Hyugi had finally accepted.

If I die right now, I think I will be okay with it. At least I would get to see mother. The thought was enough to provoke a sad smile from the king and he closed his eyes, silently willing himself to just drift away away into death. He never had the chance to meet his mother, but had heard many things about the former queen. Maybe he'd finally get a chance to experience all her kindness himself.

Hyugi....Hyugi....you can't just leave the kingdom like this. War would consume the nations and result in their destruction...However, with my help, I assure that you will live long enough to see peace between all three kingdoms... A familiar voice nagged at Hyugi, making him open his eyes once more. It always seemed to bother him whenever he had thoughts of death and he instinctively moved his head so that he could stare at the leather book that was currently taunting his concious.

The book was composed of dark leather that was tough enough to endure even the most severed of tears. On the covered was a round seal with a golden clasp that held the thick book closed. In addition, the word Demonis was engraved into the leather and filled with gold so that the letters popped out. Demonis is a spell book that was passed down through the Hisoro family generations...though no one ever got the chance to use it due to various reasons.

Hyugi usually ignored the book, not wanting to break the family's tradition of leaving the book closed. However, he'd become more and more drawn to the book since his rapid health decline when he became the king at only nineteen years old. Now, as he stared intently at the book, he knew that he would be the frist to open the book and use its power, especially if it could somehow heal his sickly body.

With a sudden surge of energy, Hyugi reached out and grasped the book with his hand. He the pulled it close to him and took out the key that would unlock the clasp and allow him to read the pages. Is this really what I want to do? The king asked himself and he hesitantly fingered the key. He had no idea what would happen when he opened the book...though if it was going to kill him somehow, then he hoped that it would be quick.

Hyugi....Hyugi....Hyugi....Hyugiiii.

The book seemed to chant and, after a while, Hyugi could no longer ignore its call. Taking a deep breath, he inserted the key and turned, watching as the clasp came undone and the book opened. During that time, the king had closed his eyes, ready to accept his fate, but as he open his eyes, he was surprised to see that the pages were blank. "What...what the hell?" He asked, his frustration and anger growing as he flipped widly hrough the pages. "Where is the writing!? Where are the spells!?" All the hesitation and fear of his ancestors for nothing. Hyugi was in such a rage that he barely noticed the tiny writing in the middle of one of middle pages. Raising an eyebrow, the king leaned forward and squinted so that he could see what was written there. It seemed like a name, a very exotic sounding name at that. Maybe this is the spell... Hyugi thought and then proceeded to say the name outloud:

"Kinn."

As soon as the the last syllable left this lips, the entire room suddenly became cold and became three shades darker as an unexpected wind blew out all the candles he had lit. A howling sound rang in the air at such a loud pitch that Hyugi ended up dropping the book so he could cover his ears. His heart beat widly as dark shadows rose up from the blank pages and wrapped around his bloody cloth. It was then swept away towards the middle of his room, spiraling so far up that Hyugi was sure that it was going to break hole through ceiling. This dark energy continued to spiral around the room, knocking over items and disorganizing paintings until, finally, it clear. However, what it left behind surprised the king more than the actual appearance of the dark enegry itself.

"Who are you and how did you just come from this book?"
I kept falling asleep, so I'l do it sometime today lol
sorry, that post was a bit short x_x
But it's purpose really is to keep this particular sub plot moving along
Allura tried not to look surprised when the angel informed her that it knew all about the old woman's history with her demon husband. Since Allura was not in that department, she had no idea but she couldn't say that she was completely surprised. Of course they would have kept tabs on the woman...though it didn't seem as though she posed any threat to neither the angels or demons. Shaking the thought away, the angel focused on the question that she'd been asked. "I know what my consequences will be. However, I will not let the situation come to the point where I will be receiving a negative consequence." Allura replied coolly then gestured to the old woman behind her. "Now, Brother, will you please return the man's body back to him? You're startling the old woman here."

"Uhm,can someone please explain to me what is going on here?" the woman seemed to have finally snapped out of her shocked state and gained her voice once more. Allura took this opportunity to turn and face the woman completely, "I'm sorry for the misunderstand here, miss." The angel stated, giving the old woman a look that told her to hold her questions until after the other angel left. "It seems as though your visitor's body has been inhabited by an angel who is currently questioning me." Allura added the last part a bit bitterly...but she knew that the woman would at least get her point. The real question though is whether or not she would keep quiet until the other angel left?
"Oruin?"

Raine repeated his name again, not sure if what she was seeing was actually true. She hadn't seen him since the day she'd been accused of her father's death. Despite that, she'd never forget those eyes, even if he was no longer the scrawny little boy that she used to play with when they were younger. Puberty had transformed him completely: his previously thing built was replaced with one that was more muscular, which could be seen slightly through his medical uniform. His childish face became one that was much more mature and she could even seen hints of a beard growing along his upper lip as well.

"Raine, you're awake." He said, relief apparent in his voice as he looked down at his childhood friend. It seemed that he, too, was surprised to see her here in her current situation. "What...what are you doing here Oruin?" The assassin asked, as though the answer was not sitting right in front of her. "I could ask you the same question ya know...but I'm a medic here in the prison now." The green eyed male said with a slight smile and gestured to the medical bag sitting beside the bed. "After you escaped, I decided that I would become a medic for the prison, knowing that you would eventually come back...though I hoped that I wouldn't be reunited with you in this way." His response surprised Raine. He'd become a medic just for her? The girl was curious to know why but decided that she had more important things to worry about at the moment.

"Oruin....I have to know.." She started then paused slightly before asking her question. "Do you believe that I killed my father?" Raine's voice was soft and hesitant, which was very out of character for the assassin but it was something that she needed to know. If Oruin didn't believe her, then Raine wasn't sure if she would be able to convince others of her innocence. After she asked her question, the cell fell deathly silent and she could hear Oruin take a deep breath before exhaling slowly. "Raine, although I was not there, I can say that I can believe that you did not do it. I know that you loved your father too much to do something about that...nor did you know anything about the inheritance." Both Oruin and Raine knew that, if they had something interesting or important to tell each other, they would share and protect the information, knowing that the other would not tell a soul; the girl knew that if she had found out about her inheritance, Oruin would be the first and only person she would have told. Reaching up, she gently fingered the necklace that held the inheritance for a moment before getting to the other question that she'd been dying to know she she'd finally gotten the willpower to return to her hometown.

"Where's my uncle?" This time, her voice was filled with enough venom to poison every inmate stuck in this prison. It was clear that Raine still held a grudge against the man that had truly murdered her father. She then watched as Oruin's expression turned from a relieved to troubled one. "Huh, I guess you haven't heard then." His statement made the assassin raise an eyebrow. "What news?"

"Well, you see. After you escaped, a lot of things went downhill here...."
~~~~~
Oruin went on explaining what had happened over the course of the last two years and, by the time he'd finished, it was nearly dawn. "Listen Raine. I have to go and check on the other patients in the infirmary but I promise that I'll be back tonight." Oruin said as he stood up, his medical bag in hand. "Okay...see you later then." The girl mumbled sleepily and watched as he left the cell, locking it behind him. Once again, her cell has fallen silently and Raine could hear nothing but the sound of her own heartbeat and breathing. She continued to focus on those two sounds until she finally drifted off into a restless sleep.
It was her second night in the woods and today just happened to be one where the rain decided to pour down heavily on Raine's head, even if she was huddled up underneath a tree. It was practically impossible to light a fire in such weather so the girl was left in the dark in which she could not see, but could hear. The various noises that echoed around her weren't pleasant at all. Animals growling, thunder roaring and the sound of the rain as it hit her soaked clothes, along with the sound of her soft sniffles. This was the haunting soundtrack that nearly drove the girl crazy that night. Rocking herself back and forth, Raine clutched at the wet clothes that stuck to her body, saying: 'I don't want to be alone...I don't want to be alone....I don't want to be alone...I don't want to be alone..."
The dream was enough to startle Raine out of her sleep a few hours later and she quickly sat up in bed, breathing heavily. Although it was just a dream, Raine knew that it was simply her mind remembering the things that happened...and how she almost lost her sanity all in one night.I hated staying in those woods alone like that... The girl thought with a sigh and then looked up as the sound of footsteps echoed in the staircase that led to her cell, making her raise an eyebrow in both curiosity and confusion.
"Who in the world is that eager to see me?"
