Blaire raised a brow and tilted her head. She was catlike in essence. One could almost see her ears prick up in interest. "And who is this man?"

Lorelai laughed, shaking her head. "I may look the part but I couldn't possible do what you do. I'm sure Midas would agree. I think he respects you. I do." She gave him a smile and got Freya to trot ahead. It was getting darker and cooler out, but not uncomfortably so. They were nearing the forest.

Lorelai smiled as Freya kept up with Midas. "I know. I'd watch from the windows. He taught me as well, but not often. He was busy a lot so I taught myself a little and sometimes the knights would help me learn. "The first time you get on a horse, you feel larger than life."

Freya and Lorelai kept up and as soon as they passed over the ridge Lori sighed with relief as she sat in a normal seated position. "If you tell the maids i did this I'll put mice in your bed." She said with a grin and waited for him to lead again.

Lorelai smiled and went to get a saddle. She put in on the golden mare, pulling the straps just right. Some of the maids who had come to check on Lorelai gave her a disapproving look just before she mounted her horse. "Side saddle. I know." She said, trying not to roll her eyes. Climbing atop the golden horse, named Freya, she sat with both legs on one side and waited for Isiah. "You lead the way, it's been a while since I've traveled into the forest."

"Well now I feel special." She said with a little bashfulness in her tone. "But I save anyone I think deserves it."

Lorelai smiled and gave the kind mare a nuzzle. "Well that's good. Otherwise I think I'd go mad behind these castle walls." Lorelai's father, the old king, seldom approved of the girl going out and after his passing that had become a part of castle rules. For the princess to leave would require a rather large entourage but she adored hearing of the vast world beyond the stone walls. Even if it was made up. She was childish in that way.

After giving the horse a tender stroke she brought up the courage to ask a question. "Can we go riding today?" The castle grounds extended far into the forest for equestrianism and controlled hunts. People were usually so busy that no one really took thier highness riding.
