Garland Kilgore

Picture

General OccupationAttorney(General Practice, Public Defense)

Short History
A foster child who never knew his parents, Garland is very cautious about personal relationships and has few of them. He ran in the wrong crowd in school, dropped out and lead a life of petty crime for short period of time. He traveled the country working odd jobs and was borderline transient when one day he had the epiphany to return home, the only constant that existed in his life. Back home in a small town that regarded him as a joke, he improved himself and turned wrenches and worked his way through school. Leaving only for law school, he returned mostly respected but still misunderstood due to being a young man with much more earning power than his chosen position.

He know is know well known as a trouble maker in the local legal system, and his labors have allowed him to purchase land where he's attempting to start a decent farm.

Skills
Self Reliance
Living with nothing and no one has taught Garland the only results you see in life are what you create, and this discipline has lead to a very simple monk type lifestyle. Garland is determined to grow his own food and fix his own things, and is not known for looking at something as beneath him. He's an avid hunter, farmer, and mechanic and metal worker. These things are what he spends all of his free time on.

Carry

The only thing that he's ever splurged on, always in the small of his back with a spare mag. Holds 8 rounds of .45 ACP. Stays a consistent shot with it, believes in a mans right to defend himself, and this also cost more than his truck.
Purchased before law school, fully restored by Garland. Will most likely never get rid of it.
Hell yeah! I was bummed nobody was interested. And not necessarily, what do you have in mind? I really only want a few people involved that are interested in brainstorming how everything ends up tying together. I pretty much want two divide it into two story lines, court room drama phases followed by the repercussions of how that affects the area and people in real life. I like the idea because the story will so heavily rely on our chars individual situations and stories.
Definitely down to make a loner.

Would you mind me posting a character?
It's pretty much a modern crime concept, I would play the role of an attorney that would tie together y'alls characters together. The beginning would be dealing with your individual cases in order to establish personalities, relationship dynamics, and there will be signs of corruption among the prosecution and police in this small town. After that we could all brainstorm on how to bring the story of small town corruption to evolve from there, I think it would give us opportunities for some real cool character interactions.

Will get more into detail if there is interest, but just consider location small southern town.
