The lightning is being directed through its connection to Alysis's arms, remember. Just conjuring up a lighting rod, on its own, in no way forces the lightning to actually hit it instead of William.
And Caster did what now?

Ah, I see. Yeah that was bad. I'll change that.

"Confusing"? I'd say so.
Wait, that was a Noble Phantasm? I thought that was just magic, which is why Saber was trying to stop it, preventing someone from using a Noble Phantasm just because they couldn't talk would be ridiculous.

You're going to need to clarify where I'm autohitting, because I don't see it. I only said that Saber was aiming for Caster's throat, I never said he'd already hit her or anything like that. I expected her to dodge or block, the maneuver's only purpose was to disrupt the spell she was trying to cast on Alysis.
As for William, I don't see anywhere where it says that he actually blocked with Gram; to me it sounded like he was just standing there and allowing it to hit him, while making a lighting rod with Gram in hope that once it had struck him it would be channeled out of his body. Since I'd explicitly said that once the lightning struck him it wouldn't leave his body, that would not have worked.
If you're still seeing something I don't then I'll correct it.

I'm not actually sure. I was half awake when I typed that up, so feel free to veto it. I mean, Alysis is a first year student, there's got to be some times when she overestimates her magic. :maybe
then they are unlikely to have rubber soles....

Interesting....
It really didn't.
What kind of shoes is William wearing?

Alysis and Saber were working too well together for people who had just met each other all of 10minutes ago, it was almost as if this was planned. As Saber followed through to Caster, William stopped pivoted and turned to see more lightning coming his way. He raised Gram and slammed his foot into the ground, the earth filled with iron ore beneath the snow reforming and shooting up to make a rudimentary attachment to Gram that would hopefully Earth the lightning that she was throwing at him. William was the head mage of the second year in the house of Hel, he was well versed in lightning magic, but this lightning was different and he enjoyed the difference.Caster wasn't so happy, with Saber attacking her so violently. William had placed a ban on using her noble Phantasms, and Saber couldn't use his also unless he wanted to use up all his Prana. So Caster was already at a disadvantage with her melee skills not that great, Saber's shoulder went straight into Caster's throat and she choked up. And then her eyes narrowed enough of this shit. "Trolldomspeil" Caster said as Saber was pressed up against her and in her hand was a instant glint as if something had caught a glare, and then she was holding a black version of Gram, which she raised up to swing at Saber.

Saber and Alysis's strategy didn't really require any great amount of teamwork; the plan was simple and straight forward, namely to deal with their counterpart and keep them off their partner's back.

Saber cursed, and tried to turn himself so that his sword would be on the other side of his body and in position to block Caster's swing.

Alysis's lightning was pulled towards the lighting rod,her binding not strong enough to force it to hold its course. Alysis cursed, and poured her magic into her body, energizing it to allow her to move and react quicker.
I believe that he might be referring to Aaron's shitty life in his backstory, thus he was harmed by his character development. Or something vaguely adjacent to that.
Unless you mentioned it to CK, I don't think you've ever said you were on vacation, Willy. You just sort of disappeared.

Besides, what are we SUPPOSED to do with just two teams active? If we fought each other, one of us would win....and then the remaining team would end up doing exactly what they're doing now, except alone.
