"Well, I suppose that was that." Mark said, as the ice melted away. "Gentlemen, let us help the injured to the infirmary." Mark's guards began picking up the injured and carrying them off.

Almost two dozen students disappeared that night. Mark would later claim that he had seen them halfway to the infirmary before Caster's first aid treatments had done enough for them to carry on under their own power. The few students who made it to the infirmary corroborated this story.
