"pack members don't do the kinds of things they did to me to each other,"she said and knelt down to examine Alec's leg,"The reason matters not, but I think this is the onyl time where I'll be glad to say that I am still here,"she made a face at the wound on his leg, then shook her head,"Smells like Johnathan...He got you pretty good,'she looked up,"I hope you killed him,"she added, then looked back at his leg. "Does it take this long for all hybrids to recover,"she asked, thinking of Will and his own wound that hadn't quite healed yet.
Ikalya shook her head,"I don't have a pack,'she corrected with a frown,"I know he didn't do it to be nice, but I'm glad will decided not to send me back with Darren. If they didn't kill me they were going to do the same thing the pack leader I killed did." She shuddered, then took a breath. She was bored, so she nodded when asked if she was looking for something to do,"I need something to keep my mind off things,'she admitted with a sigh. Too much had happened in the past couple of days and she needed some time to clear her head.
Avellai woke up on her own only a few hours later, feeling much better than she did before. Way better, actually. She looked up at Blaze, then sat up and stretched,"I feel much better already,"she said. She tilted her head,"Did you want to get some sleep,"she asked, feeling wide awake. She didn't know how just a few hours of sleep could re-energize her so well, but she was not complaining. "Of, if you prefer we can continue on,"though she wasn't exactly sure where it was that they were going to. did they have a set destination? She didn't think so, but if he got her as far as the next kingdom over she would be safe from her father and Marcus.
She stepped out his room and closed the door gently. She spotted Alec and shook her head,"I should know better than to ask a hybrid this, but are you going to be all right,"she asked anyway, looking down at his leg. Whoever he rumbled with got him pretty good. Ikalya felt terrible about it. This all happened because of her after all. "Is anyone else hurt,"she asked with a frown, hoping there was something she couldo other than sit in Will's room with him all day and every day until he got better.
Avellai curled up on the ground close to him,"What about you,"she asked, already half asleep. She looked up at him,"Well, just wake me up if you get too tired,'she offered and then let sleep take her. She slept soundly for the first time since she'd left the castle. She was pretty sure it had something to do with Blaze; how exhausted she felt probably had something to do with it, too. She felt strangely safe with the man, even though they'd practically just met and he was half-dragon. Neither of those bothered her very much at all. She still woke in the middle of the night though, part of her was worried about Blaze. He hadn't been getting much sleep. She didn't know how long he could go without sleep, but he needed some rest.
Ikalya took her human form and wiped the blood from her kill off her chin,"If he comes back...He's mine,"she snarled and watched as the last of the pack ran off. She looked down at him and shook her head as her expression softened,"You need to get back in bed,"she said and helped him back to the house and back to his room, then back into his bed. She pulled the blanket over him and felt his forehead to make sure his fever hadn't returned,"Thank you,"she said as she pulled her hand way,"For not sending me back with him,'she explained as she adjusted his pillow,"I know you didn't do it to be nice, but...Still,"she finished with a sigh. Seeing them had brought back some painful and vivid memories. "I'm going to go check on the others,"she said as she turned away to hide a single tear trailing down her cheek, then left the room.
Avellai shook her head,'No, it's fine really...I was just trying to think of things other than squirrel that we could eat. Maybe we should pick a few things up in the next town,"she suggested, then yawned. She was feeling particularly tired after the last couple of days. Her body was starting to get used to all the traveling, but still...They'd almost been caught twice by patrolling guardsmen. It seemed her father hot gotten smart and was sending men to check the surrounding wilderness. She'd even shared something about herself she hoped to hide, but with the way things were going she wouldn't have been able to keep it a secret for forever. She'd been worried about what he would think about her after that. She didn't bring it up again, though, she didn't want to.
What kind of magic?
Ikalya growled at Alec, but she had her go at the one who called himself the leader now. She wanted to kill him, but she guess she was going to have to leave that to someone else for now. She looked over at will. He was still frightening enough, but he was ill...And she could tell he was feeling weak. Idiot, she thought and turned her attention back to the battle in front of them. A few werewolves managed to come out of their fights victorious, but the hybrids were the ones winning. If Darren was smart he'd fall back now.

Darren snarled,"Very well,"he said before he howled. giving the order to run. He looked over at Will, then to Ikalya,"We'll be back,"he threatened before turning to leave with the surviving members of his pack.

Ikalya moved about the bloodstained field to find anyone who was alive and bleeding out into the grass. She snarled when she spotted one of them trying to get away and charged at him. He was one of those who had been particularly rough with her on the nights Nick had decided to share. She lunged and sank her fangs into the werewolf's neck and jerked her head, breaking his neck.
Uh.....Who slipped what into my drink?
