Sidenote: Illuvatar, I don't know why you think the Academy is apparently built on a swamp, but you're taking the Sensing Water bit a liiiiiiiiiiittle too far. Not every location has water that is effected by the tiniest detail giving you a tactical overview, please dial it back for me. :)

Okay, will do. Can he find out the location of the stream from it though?
Let's just say he went on a pilgrimage to Rome in his youth to see where the apostle Paul died :D
Gideon, Andrej

Gideon listened carefully, absorbing the legends and stories of the ocean. Andrej's words conjured up images of deep sea canyons, forests of tall seaweed and shoals of iridescent fish. So much could be found in the ocean. So much life, and beauty. The naiad found himself wishing he'd been born a nereid, or perhaps an oceanid. He quickly quashed the thought. However inviting the ocean sounded, it could not possibly compare to the sweet sound of a trickling stream or the caress of the morning mist rolling off a river.

Then he heard something. Footfalls, a way off, but approaching.
"Andrej!" Gideon cried to the water dragon, who had stopped talking and was staring at him oddly. "Someone is coming!"
Yay :D

I can only post in IC again under 2 circumstances:

(a) Andrej replies to Gideon's question
(b) More people arrive at the Tree/ Simon crashes into him

Those or some unforeseen and potentially life threatening event 0_o
Okay then, I think that constitutes watching the video :D
I think Latin died with the Western Empire. The Byzantine Empire was run mainly by Greece, as far as I know. Mordecai would likely know some Greek, as much of the new Testament was written in that language and Israel/Palestine had been conquered by the Greeks in the past.

I think Greek would be best, but I don't know if many Europeans would know it. Then again, they would probably know even less Arabic.
Lol. Yes, Mordecai speaks Hebrew, but knows some Arabic as well. He is familiar with some English (and possibly Welsh) words from pilgrims who worship with his congregation when visiting the Holy City.
OMGOSH. No one has posted for 12 hours!!!
Mordecai arose from his bunk, careful to avoid waking his wife. It was the third time he had awoken that evening, only managing to sleep for minutes at a time. His family's devotion to their faith antagonized the Islamic rulers of Jerusalem, and therefore, while Christian knights could wander at will, they were forced to meet in secret during the night. So far, the only disadvantage to this arrangement had been the strange looks from next door about their apparent negligence of their working life.

But now, things were different. The Crusader Army had arrived at the gate of Jerusalem, and it was essential that they gain every Christian they could find. Mordecai and the other Christians and Messianic Jews in the city had made plans to escape, and the time was ripe. As soon as the Frank army broke through the walls, they could join their fellows and assist in ridding the Holy City of the oppression of the Saracens.

Mordecai crept to the door and opened it slowly, trying to avoid causing the hinges to creak. A gust of cool air met him, bringing with it a host of smells - leather, fish, alcohol. He shut the door softly behind him and stared out along the street. It was illuminated by the light of the silvery moon, bathing everything in a soft, white embrace.

Suddenly, Mordecai noticed something at the door to the nearby Mosque. 3 silhouettes, one dragon, a man and a young woman. The dragon appeared not to have noticed the humans' presence, but it was the girl that concerned the Christian the most. She seemed to be singing to the man, enchanting him with strange words.

Clutching his staff tightly, Mordecai charged up the hill towards them. "Young lady!" He cried. "Stop this sorcery at once!".
Okay, how many people actually watched the video in my CS?
