Everyday its the same, something is happening to someone and other people just pretend they don't see anything. someone is getting mugged or extorted but nobody will even look to see if they can help. Can you blame them though? these streets are supposedly control by the street gang that goes by the name of "the dragons" obviously not an original name but it gets its point across, these people demand tribute from everyone and simply beat down whoever gets in their way. They say they fight to be their own people and be free but its just a load of bull they tell themselves to justify hurting people for their own gains. Nobody dares to go against them for fear of their retribution, they taint the very structure of their martial arts training by doing this. It is time to fight back, it is time to show the dragons that they cant do what they want without consequence, its time to protect these people and finally make our stand as true warriors of martial arts, are you with me! We are the fighters that shall bring honor back to the name of martial arts, and we will be the ones who will take them down and show them the true power of the people.

It's here in your own words you're saying that they "Control the streets" and "nobody can fight back", and that they demand tribute from "Everyone."

Is this a game about serious business gangs fighting each other, or some nerds in high school having slap fights on the playground?

Please don't take this personally I'm just trying to keep it as is. We're high schoolers so we're more likely to fight with our own fighting styles. Every gang member is a high schooler so it's less likely were going to have guns to fight each other with. I'm keeping every person at a high school age, I won't change that for one person

How does being a high schooler make you more or less likely to have a distinct fighting style?

Furthermore, in Japan, gun laws are much more strict, and heavily regulated. In that case, you're more likely to see melee combat in street fights, even among adults.
And if every gang member is high school age, then it's not a very threatening gang, now is it?

Street gangs are a problem that affects an entire community, not just high schoolers. Thus, characters of almost any age or background should be viable.

Name: Toramaru

Age= 40

looks= Toramaru is old enough where the creases in his face are noticeable, and gray has tinged the sides of his hair. However, his physique is very large, and taut with corded muscle. His hair is long and wild, and his eyes are wild-looking. Typically, he wears a Hawaiian shirt.

personality= Toramaru is brash and headstrong, possessing a strong will and fierce aggression. This is tempered by a strong understanding of loyalty, camaraderie, and honor. That said, he's still a rowdy, violent type. His hobbies are Pachinko, sightseeing, and push-ups.

history= A semi-retired Yakuza, Toramaru spent most of his days in Satsuma, playing Pachinko and on rare occasions, being called in for bodyguard work for his family's current head. That changed when, while delivering flowers to his sister's grave, found a group of errant Dragon goons defacing it. Enraged, Toramaru has traveled to Tokyo to attack the enemy family head-on, starting his tale of vengeance.

James reached out, and placed his armored hand onto Anya's head with a soft pat.

"You're welcome, Anya." he said, giving a soft smile.

"We're going to find a cure as soon as we can." James promised, hugging Anya tightly. He stayed in the hug for a minute, before slowly pulling away, and exiting. He stepped back from the door, and descended the stairs.
The knight stopped halfway, and grit his teeth. His palm trembled, until his fist clenched, and pulled the hammer from his belt, then sank the spike into the wall with a thud. He left it as he hurried down the rest of the stairs, fetching the fruit of his hunt. He scanned Elric's shelves, and picked up a pewter mug, then put it down, looking at the high shelf. He saw an ornate stein, made of porcelain and nicely painted. It probably wasn't getting much use, so he grabbed it.

James crept through the door, gently shutting it behind him, then knelt in front of his daughter. He scooped the stein into the bucket, and offered it.
"When you're ready." he said. "There's no need to rush."
