Bio

Hello! Welcome! Etc! I am Inkdrop! I am an eighteen year old male furry from Kansas, who likes history and technology, namely naval, aerospace, and space types. Sci fi and fantasy are probably my favorite genres, as might be obvious from those interests.

I do have a rather extravagant imagination and can come up with some very odd ideas. Sorry!

Darkhunter remained mostly neutral throughout these little bits of conversation. Coming from his world, he had no idea what that clanking creature even was made of, so he just eyed him with natural suspicion. He had taken to laying down in a sphinx-like position on his snow-colored belly, tail gently dancing about in the air behind him. He gave a curious glance over to the newly formed lioness, and a little friendly mewl, but again Darkhunter took his favorite position of staying quiet and observing. The names were noted and so were their personalities, his silver eyes flitting around and looking deep into each and every one of them. That thing, named Mizn apparently, seriously made him uncomfortable, and he could see how much the little girl... Ib?... distrusted him. It didn't help that he had a telepathic mind. The skinny who was slowly muttering to himself that it was a dream was simply oozing his denial of the situation. Darkhunter looked over to him and growled, "Do you seriously think this is a dream? No dream is this vivid, and I can see from your brain activity that you are certainly not sleeping... Alfonzo." That person named Alfonzo would likely be upset at the presence that had invaded his head for a brief moment, but Darkhunter was not thinking of that right now. He went back to listening and observing with his feline ears, taking his time to churn the information, until some odd presence found itself into the room. The cat's sensitive mind immediately felt it. He hissed and roared, backing up, pressing himself into a corner after running into several pedestals. He looked around with wide, glowing eyes, probing the minds of everyone there, trying to see who was doing this. He was slammed by the range of grief and anguish hitting them, another loud roar echoing off of the walls before he went to snarling and hissing. He was shaking and panting as he stood up and stumbled over, trying to see what they were all looking at, just barely wrangling his emotions. What... he was staring at a portrait of Starfall and Nightspirit. They were in some sort of clearing, leaning on each other, smiling, each and every beautiful detail standing out to him vividly. Darkhunter slowly collapsed onto the floor once more, moaning, wrapping his paws around his head and writhing. That aura, it was just... overpowering. He was going to lose it... Darkhunter pulled his arms away and looked up into the smiling faces of the two he loved. He sat up and just stared more without even a tail movement, slowly managing to say, "I... I want out of here... if I don't get... get out... Im going to lose my mind." He huffed, a rough, guttural sound, "This... this is a bad place. We need... need to leave."
Okay. Ill wait till tomorrow evening to start the IC.
Mm, Terra was going awfully fast. Maybe a year or two, up to five, but I don't want them being out there for too long. Then they would've probably had serious health issues from being in hibernation so long.
That would still make sense with her being abandoned, because the crew might have evacuated the passengers as well as themselves, but left a few cryopods in their haste. With Terra's amnesia problems she likely won't be able to remember... something with the Edmund Fitzgerald II or the Dynasty could have happened as well. Attempted attack, collision, etc...
I don't really like having them being aboard the Terra, because then Terra herself should have noticed and I don't think she would let the cryopods thaw then. Maybe they could been slowly pulling her towards a base near Ceres?
I don't actually know what happened to Terra either. It can go to sabotage, pirates, war, aliens are fine. I am okay with it if first contact happens in this.
Darkhunter finally gathered himself after a few seconds. He swallowed the lump in his throat and sat up, trying to push the longing visions of Starfall and Nightspirit out of his head. He would get back to them, somehow. He didn't even want to imagine the grief they were experiencing right now. He looked around with his tail slowly sweeping the floor behind him, his ears flicking and twisting to hear all the bits of conversation. The light still hurt his eyes but... it was bearable. He says, "I do not know what is going on. I hope none of you do, either. I left behind two beautiful mates and my home, and I don't know how to get back. We should probably look around this... chamber..." He stood up and began to pace about again, this time looking and inspecting the walls. All of the cracks, crevices, nooks and crannies came under his feline scrutiny. He had never been in a place like this. As he investigated the images came back to him, hurting him. A beautiful, starry night. He had laid out under the cover of the thick jungle canopy, laying alone for just a few seconds before one of his wonderful mates joined him by his side. Starfall. A jaguar with fur pure white and blue eyes that glowed like the little lights in the sky... her thick, warm, soft fur comforted him as he pulled her close with his forelegs, burying his nose in her fluffy scruff. Then there was Nightspirit, the pure black jaguar with sleek fur and the agility of a bird. Her eyes were an incredible emerald green. She joined them by curling up and letting them use her almost as a pillow. In that position, lovingly curled into his mates, he had fallen asleep... and now he was here... He blinked out of his reverie as he almost ran into someone, seeing nothing interesting right now. The next exhibit could wait. He sat down and faced the group, "I think we need to get to know each other. I am Darkhunter." He bowed his head respectfully, then raised it and looked about. Mostly there were odd creatures with no fur, and something over their bodies that smelled funny. Then there was a being that looked... just off. His sensitive eyes saw everything in vivid, slightly-washed out detail. He was still sweeping his tail, looking about cautiously.
All lists updated accordingly. Sorry... like I said, I hardly know what I am doing here.
Those both look alright. I'll accept them. I think there is one more person, then I can start the IC.
Name of Nation: Republic of Texas Territories: Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma. It has a small swathe of Mexican land as well, rounding out the South-West corner of the state. Description of Government: Republic government much like the US government. It is smaller in scale and some of the terms are different, but it operates nearly identically. Description of Military: The army is best described as a compromise between quantity and quality. Moderately sized. The Army is designed for mobility and quick strikes, with enough APCs or other armored land vehicles to transport every one of the ground troops. They lack heavier firepower as a result, however. The Navy is well-armed. One supercarrier, five destroyers, ten frigates, seventeen patrol ships, three amphibious transport docks, and other support craft. The Marine core of this Navy is small, but armed to the teeth and trained to be the best Texas can offer. The Air Force consists of around 108 fighters and fighter bombers, plus cargo planes and several other support aircraft. The use of drones hasn't really caught on because of fears about electronic warfare. History: Native peoples from the lands known as Mexico in our timeline migrated North to find their own land, and intermingled with the natives already living there. After a few skirmishes, peace was finally established, and happiness ensued. Not for long. Settlers from other lands came and tried to conquer the land. The Texan people fought bravely, but over half of their male population was lost as they fought long and hard. It was a Pyrrhic victory, but by the 1800s, Texas was left alone to lick her wounds and recover. Withdrawing into some isolation afterwards, Texas suffers some from a heavy distrust of outsiders, but continues to survive fairly well. Other: This country is fairly isolated and doesn't like to help outside nations. (edits still in progress)
