Desmond Ludwik Wurmple As a roleplayer, it's because I want to try using a Pokemon I've never used before. I feel Wurmple could be a good Pokemon if used in a somewhat creative manner, and that it could become a good companion to my character.From Desmond's perspective, he likes Wurmple because of it's personality. (Which I'll get into more once we start the RP.) As well as it's rather cute appearance. He liked most of the Pokemon that he'd seen, but Wurmple had just stood out a little due to it's size. He finds it cute, and expects they'll make a wonderful pair.Appearance: 15 Desmond grew up in the Orre Region. Phenac City specifically. Most of his younger years were spent studying about Pokemon out of curiosity, going to work with his father at the region's Pokemon Lab and reading their endless waves of knowledge. Though one thing was much more interesting than the rest to him, more interesting than types, status effects, the number of known species... And that was the main study of Orre's Pokemon Research Lab; they studied Pokemon's emotions.Being a naturally curious boy, he couldn't help but confront the Professor about his studies. The man was very kind, explaining in detail the importance of knowing one's Pokemon and befriending it like anyone else. Pokemon were very sensitive, and needed to be cared for properly. Physically and mentally. The strongest of trainers had full trust in their Pokemon, but their Pokemon would also fully trust them. It was inspiring to hear, and it changed the way Desmond looked at Pokemon. His time was spent more at the lab than at home afterwards, as he began to learn what the Professor knew, and made a few discoveries himself.Desmond hadn't ever gotten a Pokemon for himself, though he befriended the Pokemon in the Lab. His gentle and kind nature made him a natural at befriending the Pokemon around him, though most of them were already quite friendly to begin with. It was at the age of fourteen, nearing fifteen, that his father began worrying about him. He was young, and needed to go out into the world to grow. But he spent most of his time cooped up in the Lab. The decision came up between his father, mother, and the Professor. Desmond's family had planned on moving to Sinnoh in a year or so, but his parents decided it might be for the best to move now, and put Desmond in a new environment away from the studies. Over the next few weeks, the arrangements were made, and Desmond and his mother boarded a ship with their belongings and traveled across the sea to Sinnoh. His father stayed behind, as the Professor still needed his assistance, but for Desmond, he ended up in Sandgem Town.It wasn't bad, he honestly liked the place, though he didn't understand why they had to be there in the first place. Desmond got along with people for the most part, not known for exactly being rude in any manner. He had to admit, though... Professor Rowan was a wise, but terrifying man.Desmond's just turned fifteen, and has finally decided to get on the track of becoming a Pokemon Trainer. Just because he wasn't in Orre anymore, didn't mean he couldn't do his own studying here. He'd just have to get more... In the field. His mother told him it'd be a good experience as well, and adding onto that, some of the others around Sandgem were also getting their Pokemon. He figured it'd be best to go for it, and travel to see what kinds of Pokemon he'd discover. Desmond is rather intelligent, knowing the important aspects of Pokemon. Type advantages and disadvantages, status effects, and commonly known berries used to cure specific things like Poison. He has no real experience with battling, though. Never having owned a Pokemon himself until now.

Our role play will take place in the Sinnoh reigon. There will be a cap of 6 players, so if you plan on joining this please make sure you can buckle in for the long haul as it would be unfortunate for somebody to leave midway through. Basically, you can choose one of the six starters and flesh out your character. For every route we will approach, I will give a list of pokemon available there and you can choose if you want to try and catch something from there... but remember! You can only has 6 pokemon!
Also... this should be pretty basic, just do a journey together, and maybe one of you may get to catch Dialga or Palkia maybe, and only one can become the true master of the league! Who's with me on this?

If you are applying for a starter, and someone else wants the starter, the better CS gets it, And once the RP has 6 players (including me) Im shutting down applications. Before posting a CS, its common courtesy to post to make sure a spot is open. Here's the CS:

Why you want that starter: Why do you want that pokemon? The answer can be as simple as "Because it's my favorite pokemon"
Appearance: Pictures preferred! If pictures, must be anime, or look up "Pokemon custom trainer sprite"
Age: Self explanatory, anywhere between 13 - 19.
Backstory: This can be however long you want it to be, if you trainer has any kind of special thing that's happened to them put it here.
