I was kind of thinking that she was going to deny her god, either right away or after going along with the master plan for a little bit. There was nothing in the OP that indicated that the gods' alignment had any effect on the person's choice of whether or not to chose it.

"However, those who do not earn favor, either by apathy or direct violation of their god will find themselves weakened. Their powers will dwindle and eventually vanish, leaving them vulnerable. But perhaps there is a purpose for forsaking your god..."

That last line seems interesting to me, and no one else seemed to be going against their alignment.

Personality: Aster is a good friend to have. Should someone she cares about ever be in trouble, she will go to the ends of the earth, and a step beyond, to pull them back. Despite caring and having strong opinions, wanting to be involved, Aster keeps herself distant from other peoples' problems. She values freedom and free will above all else. She'll see someone making a mistake, and she'll let them continue on with their way. Every person should be free to make their own mistakes in life, what they learn from those mistakes is up to them. Conversely, it is a mistake to get on Aster's bad side, as she will hold a grudge, and her retribution is oftentimes worst than the original offense. Aster likes taking time to just be alone and think about stuff every once in a while.

Bio: Aster was born in Florida, where she grew up. Aster was raised by two wonderful parents who treated her like a person instead of a child. They let her make choices for herself and suffer the consequences or reap the rewards of her own decisions. Aster did very well throughout school, which surprised many who simply judged her based on how she chose to dress and act. She outgrew the attitude for the most part, but she liked the style so much that she kept it and evolved in into her own thing. She always managed to hang out with groups of interesting people throughout her school years, and it was one of those groups that introduced her to the wonderful world of graffiti art. From that introductory adventure she went on to study art as a whole. Aster is currently studying digital art in college while continuing her graffiti art as a side project. One was a little less likely to pay than the other.

"How... eventful."

Ava was unmoved from where she had fired. Her hair had been barely moved by the gale, a huge, back scorpion shielded her from the wind with its shell, deployed and enlarged in an instant of danger. Removing her hand from the puppets abdomen, it shrunk back down to a more reasonable size, about that of a large dog. Ava wasn't about to put it away just yet, not without knowing where that man had gone, and most certainly not with so many witnesses around that might prove to be a problem.

The man's... hostage? Next victim? Daughter? Maybe it was a love gone wrong? It was unlikely, but not implausible. Well, whatever the girl was to him, it seemed that she was fine, for better of for worse. Ava really couldn't have cared less about some girl's living or dying. Pulling back the strings connecting to the two wayward arrows, Ava reloaded them back into her hidden crossbows. Even though she had her puppet, she felt uneasy without the backup weaponry.

With only a cursory glance at the girl, Ava spun around, grinding the remains of a white ornate teacup to dust beneath her foot, and walked away. She wasn't one for social gatherings, unless of course it was under her circumstances. The gray girl paused, almost entirely swallowed by the shadows of a side alley. What was she in this city for? Ava continued walking away.

I'd like to join. I can have a CS up this afternoon, and it'd be for Optus.
One question though, it says that it is faster to change to and from softer materials, so would changing a slightly hard material to something soft like clay first and then a hard material be faster than going straight to a harder material?

I was in an RP where the GM controlled every little detail, getting into arguments over minute details in character backstories because they didn't "embrace the world of the RP" or something, while at the same time allowing themselves and a few others to have free reign to meta the entire thing. It sucked. Only time I've never regretted having to (or in this case, choosing to) drop an RP. Your entire post is pure golden, and I can say I look forward to having you as the GM for this story, however and wherever it may go.

Taken from Ian's CS: "Ian’s duel disk is pure white with blue sapphire accents. His runner is pure white as well. It is sleek and curved, with no sharp points on the body except for the ends. Instead of wheels, it has a large blue sphere below the middle of the runner. It balances on the sphere, which rotates and moves to give the runner unparalleled maneuverability, though it has slightly reduced linear speed and acceleration."

Bio: Cybell isn't from the Rat's Nest, and even right now she could be living with her father in the nicer part of New Domino. But she wanted her freedom, and she couldn't have that at home. One day, before her father was back from work, Cybell took what she didn't want to leave and walked right out the door, leaving a note for her father that told him where she was going and how to contact her if he absolutely needed to. She bought herself a cheap place in the Rat's Nest and got right to work building a name for herself in this rough new setting. A month after running away, she called her father to tell him that she was fine, and ever since that month of silence she's kept in contact with him. The time and distance has greatly improved their relationship, and he's even come to the Rat's Nest and visited Bell a couple of times to check up on her. Bell was a good duelist, and she slowly but surely recruited friends and beaten enemies into what would become the Silver Dragons gang. And then she ran into Ian during a raid on an enemy gang and everything went downhill from there.
