Viktor Joins the Fight

Viktor stood near the Southern Gate of Haven City. He was waiting for the warriors who said to meet there and fend off the Orcs that were coming to Haven City. Viktor was looking at the Gate, remembering the battles he had fought in over the years as an unquenchable thirst for blood came over him at the memory of all the foes he had slain on the battlefield, and how he would do it again. He licked his lips, imagining all the blood he would get from this upcoming fight, when, all of a sudden, he heard footsteps coming his way "It's time!" Viktor thought as he heard the warriors coming. As the warriors approached, an alarm bell rang, indicating that an Orc attack was imminent. Viktor smiled, pleased to join a fight, since it had been over a century since his last real battle, he was anxious to massacre the enemy forces and feed once again. Both warriors finally caught up to Viktor who had been waiting for them for the past three hours.

"Are you ready to join the fight?" said one of the men, he was a tall, muscular man, weilding two pistols, ready for the battle.

"Oh yes, I craved the taste of fresh blood, it has been a while since I had a fresh meal!" replied Viktor as he turned to look at one of the men while licing his lips, making the man tremble.

"We need all available men at the gate, I repeat, we need all available men at the gate!" shouted the commander of the Southern Gate defense.

"We need to get there, now!" yelled one of the warriors, signaling for them to move towards the Southern Gate.

Viktor quickly pulls out his blade and charges toward the Southern Gate to meet the Orcish army. He arrives and waits for the Orcs. The air around the men is heavy and filled with fear, Viktor can feel it all. The warriors pull their guns out and load them, prepared to meet the Orcs head-to-head. Viktor and the other warriors stand their ground, waiting for the attack, until, the war cries are heard coming from the horizon, immediately Viktor grins knowing that it's feeding time. The scent of blood in the air made Viktor lose his mind, focused on only one thing, feeding. The men decided that is was best to keep their distance from Viktor as he could not tell friend from foe when he was hungry.

"Warriors! Stand your ground, defend the Gate from the invaders! We will not lose today!" yells the commander of the troops to motivate the warriors for the fight to come.

There is tension in the air, the smell of blood is strong. Viktor takes a deep breath to take in that sweet, sweet scent of fresh blood, he breathes out just as a mass is seen in the distance.

"It's the Orcs, get ready men, defend the City!" shouts the commander as the Orcish army approaches.

While the warriors see only an army of brutes, Viktor only saw one thing, his next meal.

Name: Ethan Hunter

Mutation:

Pyrokinesis: Ethan can manipulate any amount of fire to his will. He can also create fire with his mind and shoot fire from any limb he wants. Other powers include immunity to heat and cold, being able to "fly" by shooting fire from his feet, and putting out any fire and/or fires. At the moment, Ethan is having doubts as to where to go, since he heard about the Cell training base in New Mexico, but believes it's a government trap.

Personality: At the age of 13, his powers first surfaced, however, at the time, people were afraid of mutants, so he lost all human connections, and later, since news that his father could be Saint-John Allerdyce (Pyro) surfaced, mutants also turned his back on him, leaving him alone in an unforgiving world. Due to his life changing drastically because of these two events, Ethan became very anti-social, ever since, Ethan has never cared much for society or their "rules" (appearance, morals), however, Ethan is not a bad person, as he took on the role of a guardian for people who couldn't fend for themselves. He has always had a problem with people differenciating mutants from humans, in his philosophy, mutants are humans with different traits, so he doesn't like it when people refer to mutants as a different species from humans. He also hates it when children are being bothered, as his childhood was ruined when his powers appeared and news of his heritage surfaced, so he sticks up for children more than anything. His main issue however, is when people judge him on who his father was, he may not like the things Pyro did in his life, but he was Ethan's father (supposedly, nothing was confirmed), and he is willing to defend his heritage, no matter the cost.

History:
Ethan never really knew anything about his parents. He was born in a small town, at the age of 13 he knew about his mutation, it happened when he was at a friend's party, Ethan's friend was about to blow out the candles when he tripped and the candles fell on the wooden floor and in seconds the entire room was on fire. At that moment, struck by fear, Ethan started to think about the fire going out and then, when he attempted to escape, upon touching the fire, it went out. Sadly, at the time most regular humans were afraid of mutants and their abilities, so Ethan's friend's family kicked him out of the house and told every other adult at Ethan's school about Ethan being a mutant, which eventually led to the whole town knowing.

After word got out of his mutation, everybody around Ethan shut him out completely. This event led to Ethan's connection with society being severed entirely. It didn't help that later, when Ethan had nowhere to go, he went to the government and revealed that he was a mutant, which lead to Ethan being imprisoned in a laboratory, where they experimented on his genes, only to discover that Pyro could be his father. Since Pyro was an evil mutant, this also earned him a bad reputation among mutants, this led Ethan to go in a fit of rage and burn down the laboratory escaping out into the wild. So there was Ethan, a lonely 13 year-old fugitive of the government, and outcast among humans and mutants alike, with no future ahead of him. Ethan was afraid of what would happen to him, since he escaped from a government facility, he was now being targeted by the government. Every day he pondered on what to do with his life, everyday that passed, he would move closer and closer to becoming a criminal because he was angry at the world for hurting him so much, until, one day, during his travels, he saw that the X-Men were good and that people were growing to accept them, so he decided he wanted to join the X-Men until he realized that because of his heritage and what happened in the laboratory, they might not accept him.

So he took his father's name: Pyro, to do good for the world, hoping that one day, people would accept him as a part of society. So it began, he was going anywhere that trouble was to be found, and helped people, he was making a name for himself as Pyro The Savior among the local areas. Two months after he began his life of good, news surfaced that Apocalypse had destroyed New York and that mutants were banned from the military. Later, he heard that S.H.I.E.L.D had started a plan to capture mutants and take them away. Overwhelmed by fear of being taken away, Pyro went into hiding in the mountains, he spent ten years there, every two weeks or so coming out for supplies, until he recieved word that mutants were being trained in New Mexico to form the new X-Men. Seeing as he had nowhere left to go, and overjoyed to see that there was an opportunity for him to return to his life of helping people, he packed his things and took off for New Mexico.

OOC/Misc: It is believed he is the son of Pyro (Saint-John Allerdyce) yet it is largely unknown (that is why his last name is Hunter instead of Allerdyce) as his past was never clear.
