“Why indeed,” Melody repeated as she glanced behind her at the wall. She gave a shrug as she folded her arms and stared back at the girl before her. It wasn’t often that she ran into people who would admit that they didn’t see the light of day very often. But the girl remained cheerful, a wave of curiosity rolling off of her.

Tilting her head to the side, she glanced down at the hand that was held out to her. She glanced past the girl to the woman who had been introduced as Maggie. Now that woman was normal, the fact that she was apprehensive of the unknown was what Melody was used to.

“My friends call me Mel,” the jinn introduced herself as she shook hands with Lynn. Her mind played through the scenario that was offered to her. It was probably safest for her to hang out here for a while. But then again, she could use the two in order to blend into the crowd and avoid detection. “I’d love to join you for a little adventure. I still have a few things to grab myself. That is, if you’re friend doesn’t object too much.”
He was used to people tripping over their words when they spoke to him. His family was known for their tempers, and he was sure that his brothers had thrown people in the prisons for very simple things. But it made him wonder if he’d ever encounter a moment when someone would not be able to recognize his authority and treat him as a simple person.

“Is that so,” Troy mused as he listened to the angel’s excuse. “Well I was just about to put in a little bit of practice, care to join me?” He wasn’t entirely sure why he offered. He hadn’t planned to practice sparing; it was a part of his daily activity anyways between all the lessons. However, perhaps training with someone who didn’t know him well would prove to entertain.
No problem - it was good enough. :)

Mark's could probably be a bit more substantial, but I believe that will come with time.
Her mind was crowded with too many thoughts. Desperately she tried to gather the thoughts together, organize them to make sense of the situation. It had all happened to quickly. Not only that, but too many improbable things had happened. The vampire – he had carried the mark of Chronos. In all honesty she hadn’t expected the clan to survive, and above all she had never expected to become a victim. What in the world was going on? But that was not the only problem she had. In the haze of her vision, she had seen her savior slay the creature.

Hearing the question, she ignored it as she tried to stable herself against the wall. Lifting her left hand, she brushed it against the back of her skull. A frown marred her face as she felt the warmth of her blood coat her fingers and pain shot out from the injury. A long string of curses escaped her lips as she stared through the darkness to the blood on her hand. If she was a target of vampires, bleeding all the way home would not be a wise choice.

Balling her hand in a fist, she glanced up at the vampire hunter. “I’m fine,” she snapped her answer before she tried to move away from the wall. However, she didn’t get too far, the motion causing her world to spin. Steadying her hand against the wall, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. It was moments like this that she cursed the fact that her body was that of a human – it was much too fragile. When she opened her eyes, she noticed that the vampire hunter had not disappeared. Narrowing her eyes, she glared at the man, “If you’re waiting around for a ‘thank you’, you’re not going to get one.”
Many still considered him inexperienced. He was young for a vampire hunter. Then again, it was difficult to actually gain much experience in the field. It was one thing that he had been told when he had been brought into the Order. The life expectancy of a hunter in the field was low. So while the politics of the organization or the world ever bothered him, he had decided that he was thankful to have the support of a group behind him. He could disobey the rules, go hunting vampires on his own – go on his own rampage and vendetta. However, in the Order there were people he could trust. If he ever got in a jam, he had people who could help him. The Order had slowly become his family, a system on which he could trust.

Perhaps this is what gave him courage as he left the building. Blending in with society while on a mission was always a challenge. After all, it was difficult to hide the necessary weapons under a t-shirt and jeans. Therefore, it often included a large coat – even in the warmest of weathers. Luckily, this night he didn’t look completely out of the ordinary. Perhaps he looked like he walked on the darker side of life, but that wasn’t a false assumption.
Stopping at the corner of the street, he stood under the light of a lamppost as he observed the humans who wandered the street. Any of them could become a target. Vampires had no morals, they would go after whoever they deemed worthy enough to become his food. But that wasn’t his concern right now. What Mark needed to do was find some information, which mean either eavesdropping on some strange conversations or finding a vampire willing enough to… talk.
There was always one problem with wandering through walls. And as she met eyes with one of the people inside the building, Melody was reminded of that one problem. There were only so many ways that she could handle this situation. The first was to kill them, they were witnesses, but that was a bit extreme. The second was to bribe them to shut their mouths and hope that they were silent until the guards were no longer around. The third was that she could pretend that it was normal.

Melody went with the last option. “Well, hello there. I don’t think I’ve seen you around before,” she spoke cheerfully as she walked closer to the girl who was staring at her.
One second he had been minding his own business, the next he found himself chilling out on the palace floor. Once he was able to orient himself, he gazed bewildered at the person who had interrupted his day. “I’m fine,” Troy attempted to brush the situation. “I was obviously lost in my own world as well.”

Taking the hand that was offered him, he stood back on his feet. He brushed his hands over his clothes. Dirt puffed into the air as it was disturbed from its resting spot. And for a moment, he considered using this as an excuse to get out of the heavy robes required of him. Turning his attention back to the blonde, it took a moment before Troy was finally able to place a name, “Liam, right? You’re not hurt are you?”
The setting sun had once meant something. It had once been a signal, the start of another day of war. She had once lived for the night. The shadows had been her home. It was a time that was hers - a time of conquest and victory. But such a life was far from her now. It had been twenty-one years since her world d been torn asunder and her life had been torn from her.

Life now was far from what it had been. She had spent most of her day hauled up in a library, passing time among books and sitting at a computer. For a time she had even met up with a group of classmates, trying to piece together and finish a group project. The rest had been spent putting together a long winded essay. It was times like this that she found school to be a waste. Citations and research were tedious things. However, she had made a decision to make something of her human existence. So if she had to spend her time locked up among books that remembered history a bit differently than she did, then so be it.

The last rays of the sun slipped below the horizon when Elizabeth finally immerged from the library. It was far later than she would have liked. Her trek to her apartment wasn’t too far. However, there was too much to do with her day to let the hours of sleep pass by. Walking down the street, the shadows grew more abundant as the darkness of night began to spread. While she no longer lived for the night, the darkness was an old friend.

A chill down her spine stopped her in her tracks. Slowly she turned on her heels, jumping in surprise as she came face to face with a vampire. White coated her vision as her head slammed into the concrete of a nearby wall. Desperately she shook her head as she tried to regain her vision and orient herself with the world. Since the day she had become Elizabeth Wright, she had never expected to be attacked by a vampire. Perhaps today was one of those days where she should have just never climbed out of bed.
The Order was chaotic.

That very thought was enough to make the man smirk as he wandered through the halls of the high-rise building. It was early in the night, the start of the day as it were. The building was usually calm, the front of a business simple enough to hide the truth that was underneath. The only time the guise seemed to crack was at night when women and men rushed here and there. For as much chaos that the Order tried to contain, one wouldn’t expect anything different. He had been a part of this world for a while, but there were still things that baffled him.

“Mark, you’re needed in the field,” the raspy voice of an older woman called to him.

The man turned to face the woman who had addressed him. Her lips were pressed in a thin line, gray hair poking out from the tight bun it was wrapped up in. Within her frail hands she held an envelope out to him.

Mark offered her a smile before reaching out to retrieve the item, “Thanks, Mrs. Bowman.” The older woman gave a quick nod, before leaving the man behind. He glanced down at the envelope before letting out a small sigh. “Never a dull moment around here… maybe I should go rogue.”
Plot

The war between vampires and humans has existed for many years. As the years have gone by the humans have done well at killing off the vampires and forcing them into seclusion. However, there are some vampires that are more difficult to kill than others. One such vampire leads a clan of vampires called Chronos and has begun to turn the tables in this war. Elizabeth is her name, a vampire gifted with powers that she has used to become infamous. She targets the slayers and any vampires that oppose Chronos. But a leader is only as great as her followers. And at her right hand stands her best warrior and good friend – a lady of unspeakable power.

All goes wrong when a group of slayers ambushes her home. The humans left no survivors. However, it is difficult to destroy such a powerful being. With her body gone, Elizabeth’s soul found refuge in the body of an unborn child. And so she was raised as a human. While she obtains all of the strange powers that made her infamous as a vampire, such powers are not as easy to access as a human. Luckily, Elizabeth is not alone in the world – for her friend had not been there that night of the massacre. But the friends like sisters have not been in contact recently as the vampire has a responsibly to her new clan and Elizabeth must live life as a simple human.

On her way home one night, Elizabeth is attacked by a vampire. But not just any vampire – a vampire who belongs to the clan of Chronos. However, before she can become this vampire’s lunch, she is suddenly saved by a man who slays the vampire. Instead of just vanishing into the night like any usual vampire hunter, the man stays to offer her help. Why he stays to care for her she has no idea. However, she needs to know what is happening in the vampire world.

Still trying to find a friendly roleplay partner.
Hello there, call me Jealous. I'm looking for some roleplay that have drama, action, and romance. I prefer to keep the romance MxF. I most often play female characters or double up. I'm looking for someone can post about two paragraphs per response - I tend to match post length. Let me know if you want the roleplay to be in private conversation (PM) or on the forums. Oh and I prefer real pictures to represent the characters' appearance.

So for this interest check all the plots involve the idea of reincarnation. To be specific, I would love to play a supernatural being who is reincarnated as human - who may regain her supernatural abilities but is limited by her humanity. Below are the basic pairings in which I have an idea for. (asteric* means that this character has been reincarnated. italics indicates my role)

Vampire*XVampire Hunter
Angel*XDemon

For doubles = Vampire*XVampire Hunter & VampireXVampire Hunter
What she had seen was indescribable. If it wasn't for the he smiled she may have thought she had been hallucinating. But that was not the case. Werewolves. Was it possible they were real. Yes. She had already come to this conclusion. She just hadn't expected to find someone for believe. Not only believe her but he seemed to know without a fact that that is what happened to him.

"Who are you?"

The man before her was in no way normal. And all she could conclude was that he wasn't human. A chill ran down her spin.

"What are you?"
"Stop that thief!"

The words hung in the air for a moment before people began to look around. Most were trying to figure out where the chaos had come from. While others were desperately trying to move out the burly guard's way. But there was one person who was slipping through the crowd, avoiding any collisions. She took a moment to glance behind her, to see the guard that was slowly gaining on her as the crowd parted like the seas.

Quickly she turned her attention forward, letting out a gasp as she dodged right to avoid smacks g into the pole. A horn pierced the air and she scampered across the street. The truck driver cursed as he passed, but the little thief paid him no mind. She smiled as she darted down an alleyways. Turning around, she listened to the noise of the city as she tossed the wallet up in the air and caught it again.

"That was almost too easy," Melody mused aloud as she turned to face the wall on her right. Mist seemed to engulf her as she walked forward, phasing through the wall.
Green eyes slid across the wall glancing at the clock upon the a wall. He found it hard to believe that only 5 minutes had passed since he had last checked. It was impossible. The young Prince usually enjoyed his studies, even after so many years there was always something to learn. But today, today he was bored.

"Prince Troy. If you've not going to pay attention, I see no reason why you should be here," the old man doned in blue robes stated as he tapped his pen against the book he held.

The Prince lifted his head before nodding, "Sorry, Sir John. I'll be aired to study on my own and come more prepared tomorrow." Then without missing a beat, he left the room. There probably wasn't much for him to do today, as much responsibility fell upon his older brothers. But at least he could takehis time to stroll around the palace.
