Jacholaus smiled, happy that they were going to take part in the mission. At Val's question, he shrugged. "I'm not sure who else may be going. Some others sure seem interested, like that guy," he said, gesturing to another male who was eyeing the post for the mission. He then turned back to Val. "Are you okay, Val? You look tired..," he said, noticing her tired appearance and facial expression. He then asked, "Did you eat a proper breakfast this morning, and did you get enough sleep the night before?" If Val wasn't getting what she needed, he was more than happy to invite her to stay with him in his manor-esque home. It was way too big for one person, anyways.

Wait, what?
Canadian bacon is a product that we, Americans, call sausage.
Chopped up meat stuffed into an edible sleeve.
I don't see what's wrong with what I said.
Or are you one of them vege-ma-tarians?
I'm still here~

I am, but I feel like canada

Canadian bacon is U.S. sausage.
Jacholaus smiled towards Val. "If you insist," he said, stopping his being formal towards her. Maybe she was just accustomed to being casual? I mean, she sure did dress casually. Not that it was a bad thing, though. Jacholaus was considering finding more casual things to wear than what he had on right now. He considered it, though. Maybe one day. Jacholaus gave his full attention to Val. When she asked if he had a partner, and said that she could be his partner, he smiled more. Jacholaus then nodded and said, "No, I do not have a partner, and I'd love to be partners with you." Jacholaus then realized he was still holding her hand in his, the entire time. "Oh...Guess you want this back, right?," he said, before letting her hand go.
Jacholaus stood in a small group erected by the fellow students of Shibusen, looking at all of the available missions they could go on. The first week had just passed, and they were being allowed missions. This was interesting. Jacholaus straightened the cuff links he wore as he read an interesting one. It was also in Nevada, so it was fairly nearby. He turned his head to the person who had trouble just saying Nevada, like he'd never heard of it. "You do know that Death City is inside Nevada, correct? You are in Nevada right now." Jacholaus then shrugged and turned back to continue reading the mission description. It was for a group of students, not just one pair. "Would you like to go on this mission, Val?," he then asked, pointing to the interesting one.
Jacholaus smiled when Val spoke back to him. At least she accepted his presence. Jacholaus had been taught all of his life that first impressions were everything. And, from a wealthy and, almost aristocratic in a sense, family, he was expected to treat new acquaintances extremely well. Though, a bit odd circumstances, since this wasn't your typical soiree and ball for royal families and businesses like they did back in Hungary. This was an introductory session for his new school, Shibusen. Jacholaus then heard her ask about him, smiling.

Jacholaus gentlemanly took her hand and encased it in his, crouching on one knee, leaving the back of her hand for him to kiss, a greeting he'd grown accustomed to. "A great honor to meet you, Val. My name is Lucard Jacholaus. Jacholaus, being my given name, you may call me by." He stood after introducing himself by name. "I am, truthfully, a Demon Weapon. More specifically, a rapier," he said, smiling, baring his elongated canines, almost fangs, to her. He would take an opportunity to straighten out the more casual clothes he wore for the event, being a vest over a dress shirt and tie, dress pants, and some black formal shoes. To the normal person's wardrobe, it would be extremely formal. He would wear this just around his home. In hind sight, he may overdo it in some eyes, especially the greeting, but he didn't want her to think he was a bad person.
Jacholaus, hearing Vater Tod ask for attention, turned his attention to the podium, where he was. He then listened to his announcement. Two days for him to find a Meister? That was plenty in his opinion. He could already see some people gravitating towards him even before the Principal started his speech. Though, they had strange looks in their eyes. Jacholaus figured they were after his wealth, since the first question they asked was, "How rich are you?" Well, that was, of course, after his name. Jacholaus sighed internally. He thought people should be better than that. Even though he'd been rich and spoiled all of his life, he knew that money was a material. Just like anything else. Some things, like partnership, shouldn't have to be bought. And it irritated Jacholaus that the nerve of some people had was to try and go after his wealth. Jacholaus turned down the obvious gold-diggers and went elsewhere.

A few moments later, Jacholaus spotted the girl from earlier, who'd went off about a witch being allowed, standing silently. She looked lonely to him. Jacholaus, wanting to make her a bit happier, walked into her general direction and went towards her. He did not see the male who stared at her. He instead walked over to the girl who was in solitude, wanting to start a conversation or at least make her day a bit easier. He didn't know what was wrong. Maybe it was all of the stress of such a big day. Or maybe the witch being allowed was still bothering her. Though, it could have been something else. He finally approached the girl. He raised his hand and waved it at her. "Hey," he said. "You seemed lonely. Don't you want some company?"

I seem to have missed the point where it was funny....But yeah, I'll hopefully be back tomorrow. Sorry.

Not everyone has the same tastes. And that's okay.

Okay. It's fine. There's nothing to be sorry about a friendly debate on an RP ^^ Just tossing out ideas left and right

On that note, I will be heading out. Bai.

I already said before that I had only seen part of the anime....Also it really doesn't sound like it'd be pleasant at all seeing what's been mentioned on the subject already.

Then, watch the rest of it and have a better understanding of the series. Most likely, if you don't know the entire series, you won't know the entire tone of the universe of Soul Eater, or any series for that matter. And, that's just people trying to be funny about being deranged.

It is there in Soul Eater, but it shouldn't be a problem without a reason for it to be a problem, I mean, from what I looked up at least...... I don't think forcing everyone's characters to be insane is appealing at all. There's plenty of other things to do in Soul Eater's setting. I joined because of the people who can turn into weapons that get wielded by other people to fight evil, not because of insanity.

It's not forcing everyone to be insane. It's just there as another element. Another ingredient in a potluck, if you will take that. Yes, there is already plenty, but I think that having more diversity in your options will make for a more enjoyable RP. Though, some may not agree with me.

I... was considering joining. And then I read that. What the actual fuck.

Manapool's just weird. It's not surprising.

this has nothing to do with the rp. If I was going to do that, well I Would find someone who everyone hated, so Probably myself

We don't hate you, Mana ^^
My character bites himself with his vampiric canines and licks up his own, and others', blood. Imagine what would happen if he went mad?

I... Don't really like the sound of the insanity thing at all, honestly.

Then why join a Soul Eater RP in the first place? Madness, in my opinion, was one of the key factors that made the canon, and offspring, interesting. That's why I brought it up as an option for later on.

VitaVitaAR said
I... don't really either, um... I mean, it's a canon thing but isn't there no reason for it to happen now anyway?

Does it really have to have a reason? If it does, we can just create one. Say, the witches grow more powerful over time and try to harness the Kishin's Madness to help them destroy all that oppose them? Isn't that a good enough reason?
