I got some stuff made from China. Why don't we make more of our own stuff, we'd probably have more jobs available.

You can thank Chinese and American businesses for that, the cost of labor was always a factor in the West with unions, equal rights, and such, you couldn't do the things that happened in other nations. With the Sino-Soviet split in the 1960/70s, the United States began to woo the Communist Chinese, in order to take a vital ally away from the Soviet Union, meaning it would be just the Warsaw Pact, not Warsaw Pact and Friends, engaged in any large scale conflict with NATO.

As the United States and the West in general began to rapidity expand and industrialize moreso than even during the Second World War, the need for goods was much higher than the supply could manage, industry began to look for a much cheaper solution to produce their goods, enter the just now developing Chinese nation. With hordes of cheap labor, shaky and politicians so corrupt they make US politics blush, began to allow massive US industries to move into China, hiring workers for inhumane amounts of hours, in horrid working environments, criminally low pay, so on,

What happened was a massive increase in provided goods and a massive drop in cost of manpower. Profit goes though the roof, China enters an age of crazy prosperity, consumers in the west are satisfied.
Space combat?

None of this silly hippe commie battlestar trak wars: A new Enterprise hoo-haa,

The Orion Class Battleship. The bestest Cold War project ever, behind all the MBT-70, nuclear A2A missiles, etc.
The PRC plays the game of "Oh American you Imperiarist scum! We hate you!" and attempts to play some kind of retarded Cold War game with us (Though sadly they won't be anywhere near US level anytime soon, even the Soviets had issues) but at the same time suckles on the West for their economy, added with shifty, morally questionable (Though who hasn't done some silly shit) and downright stupid business practices, have created the "Chinese Bubble", which within the next 10-20 years is due to come crashing down.

Already we've seen the stagnation of the Chinese economy, however in an attempt to boost this, the Chinese super-charged their already expanding military industrial complex, purchasing and refitting a former Russian carrier and using its experience to create their own, attempting to produce a 5th generation fighter, and a number of other military expeditions really just are fucking over China in the long run.

China is that guy who spits on you, but just happens to live in your house, eats your food, and so on.

PsssshYou call that gear?A team pic, 2 years old:

What a light and comfortable loadout, looks like a shemagh, an army combat shirt and bottoms in Multicam. I can't see anything really cumbersome beyond a face mask.

Meanwhile in the world of awesome :3
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a Ukrainian-based game that centers itself around the city of Chernobyl and Pripyat, both engulfed in the radiation of the 1986 Chernobyl reactor meltdown. The game sets you on a path to kill another STALKER, though that isn't really important in this context.

STALKER is an abbreviate term for Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers, generally what most of the people that enter, 'The Zone' are. Framed men seeking asylum, put to work to pay off crime debts, curious onlookers who wish to wonder into the unknown world of the Chernobyl disaster area so on. All come to seek what lies in the ruins of the city and the surrounding area.

I'd explain more, but its much more fun, at least for me personally, to look it up on the STALKER wiki, as also you won't get personal preferences, opinions and such.
My personal opinion? A few BCTs and respective NATO regiments should be sitting on the Ukrainian/Russian border, along with the 6th Fleet in the Black Sea,

Though at the same time I agree with it, really wouldn't be a good thing at all.
In Yo. 12 yrs ago Forum: Introduce Yourself
I'm Joshua.

Really Joshua is what most people call me, 'Josh' will get a response, but really will annoy me.

Anyway, I'm an 'experienced' roleplayer who has been in the field for like, 4-5 years now. I tend to lean towards anything from the Classical era up until PMT, or 'Post-Modern Technology', which extends 5-10 years from present day (Nothing crazy, but its a good solid change from how life is.) My main interests RP wise are military based, apocalypse (Any kind really), and nation building.

I do some light drawling and graphic designing on the side and sometimes post them on other off-site forums. I don't do pretty pretty, nifty things, though that would be cool if I had the talent to, I do objects, reference things, etc. Its hard to explain just what I do, but a few links can solve that:

A pre-ww2 tank
A french infantryman
A semi-automatic pistol

Pretty much what I do, boring to 90% of all people, so whatever.

Yeah, also, hello.
I like this, though a list of pick-and-chose professions is more of a double edged sword imo.
Get out of here STALKER!

I'm really interested in this.
I like this idea allot.
