The Experiment Subjects

The nurses knew that the kids would come back. They couldn't escape since there was a wall around their property. So they didn't have to worry, they were thinking that since it was the weekend (just going to say it is the weekend) that they would give the kids day offs. But they were thinking about it. They were going to call for Art and craft time in a am hour.

Luna crashed into her room, the paper turn into a journal and land on the desk. She felt tears run down her cheek, she didn't even know why she was crying! Maybe because she looked at a dead body and it was a person she cared about. She grabbed a chair and threw it at the wall and hears it smash. The papered wings go back on her and she made them stretch. She needed to calm down, her window closed making her jump and the door locks. Then for the first time since she gained control, she let her powers slip and all the ghost in her room appear and she hugged her knees tight.

"Luna... Calm down and tell them I'm fine..." He willed himself closer to her, but his body was a vortex, if he wasn't standing right next to it the pull was excruciatingly... well it wasn't painful, but it was some kind of feeling and he didn't like it. He knew the farther he got from it the higher the chance of the link being broken. And then he would die. But he didn't care. He willed every step and with all the pure determination he could muster he spoke to her. "Luna..." He didn't realize his voice didn't just reach her but everyone around, and he became visible to them all. "I'm fine, really. I just need to rest... I'll be good as new in a few days... Please calm down..." He put his hands on her shoulders, and they were indeed on her shoulders. "Then I'll make you a million roses to apologize for scaring you..." He smiled.

Luna jumped and like that she pulled away from Jess. "I-I need to go back...to m-my room" she stuttered and ran to her room, paper floated out of her room and made wings. They connected to Luna's back and she flies away to her window.

Jess Wrapped her arms around Luna, Pulling her into herself. "Luna, Luna you're okay. He'll heal, remember? Just take a deep breath."

Luna took deep breaths, her body shaking violently from shock. She gripped on Jess' shirt tight. "Desmond...." She whispered and made her voice echo to Desmond only. She could do that to all the ghost, she could have a conversation with one at a time. But it takes a while to do it again.

Luna focused and nothing happened, after a while, she heard bones go back together and a ripping sound. She opened her eyes that she didn't know she closed, and gets up, she looks straight at Desmond, she couldn't believe she was looking at him next to his dead body! "Desmond....." She said her eyes widen, she turned to the girl, her eyes red, it took all of her strength not to snap at her for coming out of no where. "Go back now...." She was fighting the urge to shift, she turned back to ghost Desmond and whimpers softly.

Lisa was about to get up and help Luna when suddenly she saw Luna tear off back into the forest after a large explosion went off in that direction, "oh come on, Who set off a bomb?" She said as she opened up a door to her world and started walking through a hallway that let her out at the blast site "what happened here?" She asked then saw Desmonds body and gasped

Desmond looked at her. He knew it was her, despite the wolf before him. He had heard that a specter had to really try in order to be noticed. It had to truly be determined to do much of anything. Or angry enough. He called out to her, trying to get her attention. "Luna! Luna, I'm OK, my body just needs time to heal..." He tried to explain it to her and willed himself to be seen, knowing it'd be made easier by her being a necromancer. The darkness was soon drained from the area and it slowed to a trickle as it had to pull more from farther and farther away. His body was restoring at a much slower rate, but it was restoring nonetheless.

Luna felt the pain increase, making her bite her lip from screaming out. Then she heard a scream, she turned and ran back to where the scream was. She felt her muscles move like her body, she fell to the ground eyes widen. She cried out in pain but it sounded more like a howl. She felt her back arch up in a odd angle. Her eyes glowed blue and her body started to sweat.

She howls in pain again, and then like a that, she was on all fours. Luna still felt the pain but ran to where she heard the scream. She couldn't believe what she was seeing! All the nurses were on the floor, they looked like they are sleeping. But if she looked closer she saw that they were passed out.

Luna just left them there, she didn't care about what happened to the nurses. They could be murdered, but she still didn't care. She has hated them for some reason when she woke up, so she just goes with it.

Luna stopped in place when she saw Desmond's body, she only knew it was his body because it was slowly restoring back the way it was when she left him. She screamed but all that come out was a yelp. She didn't have to get close to his body to know he was dead, well, very slowly coming back. If he is dead....Then I could see...., she trailed off in thought. She looked around to see if she could see him. She needed to focus! But how when many things are running through her head like a speeding train!

She needed to shift back and fast!

As Desmond lay next to the tree, he felt his heart rate quicken and his whole body started to shake. He hated when this happened. He was dying again. Or rather, his body was expelling excess power to stop him from being torn apart by it from the inside. He had been stressed about a lot of things lately, the dark energy inside him had been building up, and the revelation that he will NEVER see his mother again was the nail in the coffin. It was time to .Speaking of coffins, he just hopes that when he revives he won't be in one... Last time was a pain in the ass crawling out. Finally he felt a large cramp, a spasm of all his muscles, and he screamed as pain wracked his body. This was it... it was happening again... The same thing that had killed his mother... His eyes were overtaken with a red glow as his body, all at once, expelled the dark energy that was held within him. The resulting explosion of pure, raw energy obliterated the surrounding trees and vegetation and after it had finished he fell to the ground, in a heap. His body was utterly destroyed and, by all means, he was dead.But his consciousness was still rooted to his body, and he watched as darkness slowly filtered back into him, slowly restoring his wrecked body, but he did not wake up. He wouldn't wake up for a while... A day, maybe two... maybe a week. He didn't know for certain. He had to wait... Now that he thought about it, he was a specter... when they went to see his body, would Luna be able to see him? He hoped, in a way, that she would and maybe he could talk to her... Sounded lovely. Last time this happened he was stuck for two days with absolutely nothing to do and nobody to talk to... The spirits that live in this world were mere echos of their human forms and couldn't really engage in chit-chat...

Luna felt her body ache, making her groan in pain. "No not now, oh please not now...." She pleaded, she looked at a girl on a bench and walks slowly towards the bench to sit down. The pain was starting to increase and she needed to sit down fast.

Luna grabbed James "Hurry I can hear the nurses running outside looking for us" she said and she tugged James into a run. For some reason, She didn't like leaving leaving the others in the woods. It made her worry and want to go look for them. When the nursing home comes into view the nurses where outside looking around. She pushed James out first and then she runs out a little while later. The nurses narrowed their eyes but went to go look for the others.

Desmond pulls away from her and crashes against a tree, leaning against it as he falls down. Black energy continued to leak from his hand. "I can't go back like this... Go on ahead, I'll... I'll wait until I calm down..." He had to make them go away. Even as it leaked from him he felt it build up... it was going to happen again... they had to leave.

Desmond says nothing, and one hand moves, gripping the other. The black sea writhes as it floods back to him, until only his shadow remains, re-exposing them to the world. Blackness uncontrollably bled from his hand, but without a form it is swept up into the wind and dissipates. He had his teeth clenched but finally he released them with a whimper. He gripped his arm tighter, and tears fell from his eyes. "...I just want my mother back..."

Luna looked at Desmond and slowly walked to him "Desmond......." She hugged him softly and looks at him "I'm sorry" she whispered, she couldn't stop the sadness that filled her. She didn't know what to say, all she can manage was a sorry. She wasn't good at helping someone out when it came to parents. She never meet hers....., she pulled away and sighed "Let's go back before the nurses come and have a search party" she said. Something was bugging her hard, making her eyes dilate and the glowing disappear. She felt dizzy but with the support of the trees she will survive. She grabbed the boys arms and pulled them to move forward.

James seemed to appear out of nowhere beside Desmond. "No. She can't. Necromancers can't bring people completely back to life. They can bring them back as the living dead, but that's it."

Luna jumped in surprise and losses control on the glowing of her eyes, as they shine brighter. "James that's the second heart attack you gave me today.....", she growls out and runs hiding behind James.
