I kind of think the chapters are long, too, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Antagonist or protagonist characters from any of the series that the teleported characters hail from, I suppose. Like, the opposite of whom that relevant person is playing.

Oooooh that's actually a really good idea! Antagonists could get mix-matched so each character has to face the threat of someone else's antagonist. :D

Unfortunately I guess Legato can't join the fray on account of mind-control abilities (which he DOES use often) so I guess I'll have to pick someone else from the Trigun universe, if that's the direction we're taking things.
I feel like that's not an important enough niche to warrant a new tense, though.

How would one go about inventing a new tense in the first place?
Please continue.
I am a machine.

Awesome.

I either mention the accent in much the way Brovo does or I'll throw in a single word into dialog now and again to give a sense of the accent. But writing out whole sentences in a an accent feels goofy to me and I just can't maintain it.

Same here, for the most part.

The only time I write out accents is if it's for a temporary character, or some other case where they won't have much dialogue to write. Otherwise, writing out whole sentences in a particular accent becomes tiring and weird.
Hmm, what? I'm... not sure I really understand why you would need to get too clever with tenses, if I'm understanding you correctly.

I mean, the only real example of this sort of thing I can think of off the top of my head is Doctor Who, which has a few lines every once in a while where the use of tenses sound a little weird. For example, when the Doctor's in 1963 and says, "the Daleks already took over Earth in the 22nd century". Sure it sounds a little funny because he's using the past tense to refer to something that happens in the (objective) future, but you still know what he means, especially since it's implied he saw it happen in his own personal past.

So... yeah, tenses are weird in time travel stories, but I don't think it matters much since you can still pretty much understand the intended meaning behind things even if the correct tense to use in a given sentence is rather debatable.

It's alright. I'm not very concerned with length - just functionality.

What got you into anime?

In 9th grade a friend of mine convinced me to try out our high school's Anime Club with her. Back then my understanding of anime was extremely limited (I was really into Pokemon and Digimon and called that anime), so I decided to go to expand my horizons. They played a lot of epic anime in that club, showing a new series every week, and so I was able to learn of a lot of new titles really quickly. The rest is history.
