Quickly, Muse looked between the group members, thinking of how to most efficiently shelter them all and what form to take on. However, glancing back upwards again, he realized that the bird creature moved a lot faster than he’d anticipated — and he barely had time to get out half a curse and a barely-successful flinch as the being’s claws suddenly had him crushed against the ground.

“D-dammit…” he muttered as he struggled to pull himself together, clutching his abdomen as he looked weakly up at the bird creature attacking the others. “Don’t worry about me!” he called out quickly. If the roleplayers were distracted helping him, then the bird could pick them off easy! Muse wasn’t worried about recovering — surely he could figure out a quick fix. But in the meantime, he had to make sure these kids could defend themselves. “Just focus on fighting that thing!” he yelled from the sidelines. “You guys know you have the power — so use it!”
Javier, you have my permission to painfully swat Vash away with any element you prefer.
“Well, I’m pretty sure the only way to leave the island is when we complete and/or fail at the trials.” Vash answered Connor. “As for beating the gods, well, I for one would rather play along with their game. At least I get a shot at that… wish…”

Up until this point, Vash had been a good boy — staying mainly focused on the important things at hand. But, there are certain things a man like him just can’t resist. And the sight of the exotic woman who’d just entered the Oasis was one of those things. “I regret to inform you that getting back to your friends won’t be too easy, my lady,” Vash spoke up, his voice suddenly much deeper and smoother than it was a moment ago as he appeared at the Avatar’s side almost instantaneously. “If you’re a Challenger like us, then you’re here to participate in dangerous Trials set up for us by the Viewer that brought us here, and if we succeed, then he’ll grant us each a wish.” he explained quickly. “It’ll be a dangerous game, I’m sure, but judging by your fierce eyes and wild hair I’d say they’d be a breeze for a woman like yourself. And if they’re not, well, then I, Vash the Stampede, a hunter of piece who chases the mayfly known as love, will be right here by your side to protect you…” he cooed sweetly, slowly wrapping his hand around her own. “It’s tragic that you’ve been separated from your friends, but, at the very least, there’s the hope that you might find something more…~”

I don't think it's a smart move to allow more newcomers at this point. I think it's about time to call ourselves closed off, at least for now. Sorry.
Wooo! Content! :D

If somebody ripped off my shit without asking me for permission first, I'd be mighty pissed. Not only did you put no effort into something I put a lot into, but you're claiming it as your own and you're not going with the direction I had planned. Anybody stealing somebody else's work is a parasite who needs to pull their heads out of their asses and come up with their own shit. That said, I'm not opposed to people continuing with a game I started until I get back with the understanding I'm coming back, or people making their own game with the same players that's not just a lazy copy of mine.Of course, there's really not much you can do to stop it from happening unless they clearly just copy/pasted your game. Then I'm pretty sure that falls under plagiarizing and the mods can shut it down.

[2] to all this.

Someone copy/pastes my intchk? I'll be mad. I'm forced to abandon an RP? I'd be honored for the other players to keep it going in my absence.
I don't recall requesting anything from you on oldGuild (though I could be mistaken - the images are all a little too small for me to potentially recognize them), though might I suggest posting this in the Gallery? You're more likely to find the people you might've made sets for in the past (as well as others who might be interested in claiming them), I think.
Posting here so I remember to come back when I'm not as busy.

This seems like an interesting place to discuss such matters - and one of the few threads here on RPG where I'd feel comfortable doing so.
Hopefully now we're getting somewhere!! :D
“It’s not a matter of trying.” Muse told Rae. “It’s a matter of believing- no, knowing.” he corrected himself, still attempting to explain the phenomenon. “You don’t see any flame, because part of you — probably a rather large part of you — still says it’s impossible. That’s what’s stopping you.” he explained. “Think of it like… like the placebo effect!” he exclaimed. “If you take a pill that does absolutely nothing, but you think it’s supposed to do something, then odds are you’ll still feel the effects even though the actual chemical make-up of that pill isn’t supposed to do anything. Same with a good-luck charm. If you believe that finding a four-leaf-clover will improve your performance in a test or a sports game you have later that day then it just might, despite the fact that a genetic anomaly in the clover population should have nothing to do with how well you do in math or basketball.” he explained. “The only reason a useless pill cured any sort of ailment or a weed allowed you to ace your math test was because you truly believed that these things could help you. If you didn’t believe that these things had any use, then they wouldn’t have helped you.” he elaborated. “Your powers in this world are like the placebo effect, only hugely amplified. If you really believe that you’re capable of firebending like a Nickelodeon anime character, then you will be. That’s why it worked on Callum here,” he gestured in the boy’s direction. “When I just told him, matter-of-factly, that he was capable of such things. Because when a doctor hands out placebo pills, they work a hell of a lot better when the patient isn’t aware they do jack squat and all the effects are just in… their head…”

Muse trailed off a bit as he became aware of what appeared to be a large shadow stretching over them. Hesitantly, he craned his neck around and looked up at the source of it. Above them, a jet-black bird creature blocked out the sun, its long, toothed beak hanging open hungrily as its fiery red eyes targeted the group. “…Well shit.” Muse muttered at the sight of the impending danger, the creature’s talons twitching excitedly as it dived down towards them.
