Ok, so, I'm in my room, no real lights on besides the light coming from my laptop, and I'm just sitting around watching Youtube videos and occasionally checking Spam.

And my laptop has a charger (whom you may remember as the accessory of my fez-wearing bedside lamp) which has a small light on the end of it that attaches to the computer. When plugged in, this light comes on orange, and then it turns green when the system is finished charging.

And so while I'm derping around on Youtube, I'm idly holding my thumb over that charger light and I notice that, in the dark, the orange light essentially shines through my thumb and kind of makes it look like my thumb is glowing.

Mildly amused by this, I sort of kept my thumb there on-and-off for a while before I realized that the light had turned green, as it does when I'm finished charging.

But what made me notice this (at least initially) was not the presence of green light but of no light at all as, once the light changed color, none of it shined through my flesh at all. My thumb was enough to totally block the light.

Which is kind of crazy, since the light didn't appear to change in intensity at all - only color.

Man, light is weird.
The fact that you needed to explain what this was implies that you assumed (I would wager correctly) most of Spam is not familiar with that meme.

If we're not familiar with it, then obviously we wouldn't have any content off-hand to post.

And if we don't have any content (or, at least, you expected us to not have any content), doesn't that make this whole thread kind of pointless?

I mean one could argue that a thread full of Pikachu pictures is also pointless but at least we all know what a Pikachu is and are therefore all capable of making that thread a thing if we so choose to participate.

Why does starting a bandwagon have to take so much work?[]

Dude.

You can't force a bandwagon.

Even if you try something that's been turned into a bandwagon over and over again (like those opinion threads) there's always the chance it won't catch on.

The only way to make a bandwagon is to start some sort of trend as far as posting threads go - and that depends entirely on the others in Spam.

In fact, hell, generally the people responsible for starting a bandwagon really aren't the people who posted the original thread that the bandwagon was based on. It's the person who posts that second thread - the first spin-off on the original idea - that gets the ball rolling and inspires others to jump in, thus creating a bandwagon.

That's how that works.

I can't believe I needed to explain this.

Edit: Oh, and these things always happen spontaneously and out-of-nowhere. They can't really be planned. So don't bother.

And why would you want to start a random bandwagon, anyway?

And hell, what is this bandwagon even supposed to be focused around? Every bandwagon has some common theme - that's what makes the collective group of threads recognizable as a bandwagon. Starting a bandwagon and just calling it "bandwagon" is like saying you want to write a book but having no ideas for what it will be about other than the fact that it's supposed to be a book. ...And then taking that "idea" (which in and of itself is a lack of an idea) to a publisher and expecting something to happen.

There are just so many flaws in this plan I can't even.

Actually, I think I'm going to leave again. Not only have I utterly failed to do anything worthwhile I get the feeling that people here are uncomfortable even having me around.

...What gave you that idea? >_>

Quit being such an awko taco. You're fine.
“Well shave my head and call me Twinkle-toes…” Muse muttered with a strained smile on his face, watching virtually all the roleplayers — even the more skeptical ones — exercise their choice elemental powers. Even Callum, who’d gotten hit almost as badly as Muse, was still able to fight the thing. “It’s super effectiv- ah!” Muse attempted to cheer from the sidelines, though he clutched his stomach in pain again as he staggered to his feet. Still, he managed to shoot Callum a thumbs-up and a grin to show his encouragement, at least.
Vash released his grip almost instantaneously as Korra stomping the ground somehow led to a painful jab to the stomach — causing Vash to slowly topple over onto his knees as the Avatar walked past him. “Ah… what a fierce woman…” Vash grunted, clearly in pain and yet seemingly still so happy. “It’s as if the power of her spirit alone can bend her surroundings to her will…” he mused as his eyes landed on the jagged rock in front of him.
And together, we're Team Avatar!

I'm going to just echo words of Evie, from V for Vendetta, and say "Are you a crazy person?" To both of you, because that's exactly how you sound right now.

We're crazy because we're not sitting around trying to tell God how to do HIs job?

Whatever you say, dude.

This really doesn't help me. You have to realize my username fits my personality. I have about fifty ideas for what her power could be running through my mind and I can't choose one.
