edit: god damnit I even checked for a double postwhy the fuck does it always white screen?

Fun fact! If upon getting a white screen you simply close that tab and open up a new one (or just navigate back away from the page) instead of refreshing, then you won't wind up double-posting.

At least, this is true in my experience. Worth trying out, I suppose.

At first, I thought it was Kaga who made this thread. XD

...I don't even care that our names both start with K. You should know I wouldn't make such a rookie mistake.

That gif is so overused, and always by somebody who has a black-and-white set.

Remind me to use that gif, then, when/if I switch back to a William Hartnell set.
...Reminding me to check my email regularly.

:I Because there's no flaw in that plan whatsoever.
Vash jumped slightly as Ghost Rider whipped out his chains and showed off his power. Ghost Rider’s appearance was intimidating enough, after all, and the chain ability was certainly something. “Uh… yeah! That… would probably help!” Vash replied a bit nervously, still not used to seeing people with such a wide range of powers.

He didn’t exactly get much time to flesh out the plan with said skeletal individual, though, before some gung-ho viking-type fellow came out of nowhere excitedly ranting about different types of dragons as if such things were common knowledge where he came from. Vash really had no idea just how accurate his information was. “Well, hang on a minute,” he spoke up sheepishly. “We probably don’t need to go so far as to slay the thing, right? I’m sure we can hold it down with flame-skull’s chains and that’ll count towards a victory!” he grinned, hoping the adventurer would agree. “Also,” he then turned towards Whitney. “What’s a Pokemon?”

Just realized that Kole may of just got burned...hehe

Oooooops.... XD
Somewhere in the dark, abandoned city, the sounds of movement could be heard. Particularly, a sort of clanking sound, like an empty can getting knocked over. Could’ve been the wind. Well, maybe, except it was then followed by a snapping sound — like some entity stepping on a twig or tree root.

Something was following Callum, that became clear, even if it was only evident thanks to the haunting sensation of being watched. Regardless, as it drew closer, a perceptive ear would detect the sounds of light footsteps drawing near. And, once it came close enough, one could even detect the sounds of bestial breathing. And eventually, after the creature was satisfied stalking Callum for quite some time, it reached out, ready to make contact…

As Callum felt a feline head rubbing against his ankle.

It was a fairly large, male cat, its fur patterned with a few different shades of dark gray. And as he rubbed his face against the roleplayer, much like any normal cat, his soft fur on the boy’s skin was accompanied by the plastic-feel of his yellow-orange collar, which matched the color of his eyes. And on that same collar, a name-tag hung that read, “MK Ultra”. The cat meowed softly as he continued his attempts to get Callum’s attention.
“Ah… well… that was a rough transition.” Vash groaned as he pulled himself into a sitting position, looking around at his new surroundings. Given the insane visuals he’d just witnessed as the earth transformed, he couldn’t help but be slightly surprised at just how… nice, and peaceful everything looked. “Oh wow, lush green grass… lots of it!” Vash mused, running his hand through the greenery below him. Not a lot of that on the desert planet he came from. “And a nice blue sky…” he continued, bringing himself to his feet, before the first Trial’s objective flashed in the sky.

“A dragon, eh?” he echoed, thinking it over. Given everything that had happened, he really wasn’t surprised at the notion of dragons being a thing that existed. …Granted, the Trial said legendary dragon, implying there were maybe other dragons out there? Well, the ‘legendary’ dragon would probably stand out amongst the others, if there were more…

“Soooo… how do you suppose we catch a dragon?” he spoke out loud to the others in the field he materialized in, thinking over any sort of dragon lore that could be of use to him. “It’s probably big… bet it breathes fire… So rope wouldn’t work to capture it. We’d need chains or something…” he thought out loud, obviously not even considering killing it. “As for finding it… do you think we could attract it somehow? Dragons are supposed to like gems and things, right? You think we could trick it with some kind of shiny metal?”
Muse stopped walking, pausing for a moment to let Callum’s words simmer in his head before responding. “You know what? I don’t know.” he snapped, turning around to face the boy. “I thought I used to know — thought I was a roleplayer. But as time went on, I realized my memories of the real world were just so… hazy. I could hardly remember a thing about the place. And as I thought about my memories long and hard, I realized they didn’t make much sense either. All the events in my life were just stitched together so loosely, like, like the narrative of my life didn’t even flow properly. It didn’t make sense. Have I really been here long enough to forget so much of my old life? No, that can’t be it — because my memories of this world feel clear as day and yet I can’t bring myself to think that I’ve been here longer than a year, or even a few months! And yet, I don’t even remember my old name! The only name in my head is ‘Muse’, not that I remember how the hell it got there, and it definitely couldn’t have been my birth-name unless my parents were really hoping for a girl. Add that to the list of things that don’t make sense. My whole life doesn’t make any fucking sense.” he seethed, having completely lost the smiling, hopeful persona he displayed only moments ago.

“So besides that elephant in the room that I’ve been ignoring up until now, what other questions have I been dodging, according to you?” he glared at Callum. “Because I said I’d answer any question I could, and so far that’s exactly what I’ve done. I’ve told you about the Guild world, I told you about GM, and I even taught you how to create fucking Pokemon attacks out of thin air! But unfortunately, that’s all I can teach you about. Because I don’t know what GM is, or where he came from, or why he dragged you all here. If I’m a ‘tutorial character’ then I must be a real shitty one, because I’m sorry but I don’t have all the answers!” he yelled, emphasizing each of those final words as he spoke. “Okay? I’m not God. I’m not programmed to protect you, or to teach you all the answers — I’m just a simple guy attempting to do those things. I might seem omnipotent to you but I have limits — especially mental limits.” he growled, finger on his forehead. “I’m in a world of roleplays attempting to stop a godmodder, all while doing everything I fucking can to find all the roleplayers here, protect them from the billion-and-one dangers here, and help them cope with the tragedy of what’s happened, and I’m failing at it!” he screamed, breathing heavily. “…Do you even know how much death I’ve seen these past couple days?” he whispered, now visibly shaking. “How many roleplayers I couldn’t save? How many of them died to some zombie apocalypse or how many just… vanished as soon as I turned my head, or even so much as blinked?”

“So I’m sorry,” he continued, panting, “Sorry that I tried to put on a happy face, and cover up at least some of that grief and stress with whimsical transformations and fucking pop culture references, just so that I wouldn’t be falling apart in front of…” he trailed off as his eyes landed on Books and Rae. “Well, in front of all the people I was trying to help.” he growled. “Because I figured if I could at least stay upbeat, and comforting when I need to be, then I might keep us all from falling apart.” he breathed heavily as he tried to calm himself down, at least a little.

“But you know what?” he continued. “If you really think I’m a useless guide, if all my attempts to help are really stressing you out that badly…” he glared at Callum. “Well, like I said, you’re not a de-clawed cat! Feel free to try to survive on your own.” he seethed. “And I’ll just help the girls to survive.”

And so he turned his back, and walked back towards Books and Rae. “Sorry you had to see me like that.” he panted, still catching his breath. “If you need me to be honest about the situation, I will. I don’t know why GM chose you guys, but he did. It sucks, but that’s what happened.” he told them, finishing with a much softer tone. “Least I can do is help you girls find some shelter…”

Do we get assigned our mission objectives or are we picking them out ourselves?

o.o I had just assumed we'd all get the same mission or something. You know, something where the challengers can either work together or compete with each other... Getting separate missions almost makes it feel like there's hardly room for interaction between players.

Additionally, if we're all supposed to come up with our own missions then... welp, I got nothing. >.<
