“The Master!!” the Doctor suddenly exclaimed, finally remembering something really important that he couldn’t believe he’d forgotten. “Right! He did something to my TARDIS,” Eight continued, scrambling over to the console and typing madly away at the keyboard as he dragged the scanner screen in front of him. “Have I ever mentioned him to you?” he asked Rose. “No, probably not — you’d at least know about him, then. You’d need a memory worse than mine to forget that name, especially after seeing his work. At any rate, let’s take a look at the Fault Locator,” he rambled, speaking mostly to himself with that last sentence as he paused to take a look at the scanner screen. “Oh, no… Massive power drain. Of course. Should’ve figured as much with the sort of access he has to the Eye of Harmony — though I still don’t know how he survived — and then… looks like he also tampered with the Directional Unit. Well, that would explain how we would up here — wherever here is…” he stopped for a moment to look around, and his eyes landed on Rose again. “You said this is an alternate dimension, yes? Fascinating. Haven’t visited one of those in a long time. Or at least, I don’t think I’ve been to one recently… at any rate! He also…” the Doctor stopped, a puzzled expression crossing his face as he leaned a bit closer to the screen and squinted. “…deactivated the Cloister Bell?!” he exclaimed. “Well, that explains some things — he even muted the poor girl! He must have more control than I thought…” he continued, before returning his focus to the keyboard. “Let’s see if I can’t access the Emergency Power Booster Unit…” he said to himself, typing away diligently. He then stopped to look back at Rose. “You’re sure nothing snuck out the door while you had it open? No… ghostly gust of wind, no slime, no slithering sensation like a snake was brushing up against your ankles or anything?” he asked, then tilted his head as he tried to look past her towards the door. “Actually, can you make sure there’s no slime anywhere over there? I’m fairly certain I locked the door last time he got out… or at least, I think I’m fairly certain…”
Henry just told me that she's never used an umbrella before, ever, because she's afraid of the wind dragging her around.
*nod, nod, nod* Yeah, all of that works, I think. As for the tunnel complex - all of it is part of the village. There are a few more openings to the surface, but all of them lead to the jungle above (they're all part of one RP setting, after all).

I know a lot of it can still be figured out OOC. The issue I had lied mainly with the sort of not-caring nature I got from it all as you kind of put off explaining/figuring things out. Speaking of which, where is your "main destination"? Might as well discuss all this now, while we're thinking about it. (Though I'm running on like 2 hours of sleep right now, so please tell me if what I'm saying doesn't make sense.)

Which reminds me: sorry for snapping last night.

It's likely I'm just not remembering all the details from the PM anymore since it was a while ago now.

You know... you're allowed to look back at those conversations to make sure you understand their content before posting. :/

That's the thing, I took so long to post that they seemed to be outside the village now. So I basically just had myself wandering in the cave rather than being from the tribal village. In all honesty, for even an altered/revisioned version for me it's doubtful that I would willingly settle in a community that looks at men so poorly. I'd probably visit for supplies and info, but I most likely wouldn't make efforts to be part of the Tribe unless if pressing circumstances urged me to do so.

...Listen...

The entire underground complex? That is the tribe. You are in the tribe's tunnel complex. The shit is guarded. You managed to sneak in. How? Feel free to think up your own excuse on that. However, you're still in that tribe. You chose to tack onto this group after I told you that they were inside the underground village. You probably haven't even been there that long - not long enough for their misandrous nature to really effect you, since probably the worst they could've done so far is restrict you from entering certain areas of the complex. You really wouldn't need to "settle" there - maybe just stay there for a few days at most. Why exactly are you staying there? How long do you plan to stay? How are you managing as you currently are? That's for you to figure out.

I'm getting a little bit annoyed at your tendency to not at all pay close attention to the information I'm giving you. Like, I know you joined in late, I know you need a little help getting into this. I'm trying to give you that help. However, you don't seem to be paying much attention to it. Please, make an effort to absorb what I'm telling you. I don't appreciate you jumping to so many conclusions, and creating plot holes that I'm expected to explain.

Please, try to understand the situation that you're jumping into. If you don't understand, maybe look back at my older posts, or at least some of the recent posts in the IC. That still not working for you? Just ask me for clarification. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have. Really. I am. I'd much rather answer your questions than let you make so many assumptions and create all these scenarios that don't make sense.

Currently, the situation is salvageable, just so long as you make an effort to understand the situation, and write up explanations and actions that make sense, and ask me if you still don't understand things.

If we're defining nightmare as "Unwanted and/or negative dream" I'm a bit shocked too. You've mentioned enough times how she seems to annoy/bug you I'm surprised you didn't get one dream of her just annoying you or something.Hell I'll occasionally dream about having a heated argument like my Mom (we argued a lot when I was little) and will start shouting in my sleep "Shut the fuck up Mom!" and then wake up and realize I'm dreaming.

I suppose it helps that I don't remember most of my dreams. So... have I had a dream of her annoying me that I can remember? No.

And I've certainly never had a nightmare about her. Because the dreams she describes to me... those are definitely nightmares. And it's a little bit concerning. But at least she doesn't, like, avoid sleep altogether to avoid them, like another friend of mine. That's something, I guess.

5/10

Would've given 7/10 for spooky scary skeletons, but you lost points for outdatedness.
Clicking the ‘form 2’ icon caused the lizardman visible in the hologram to shift back to something closer to its original design, except about a foot taller. Additionally, the creature was the slightest bit bulkier than its counterpart, with the muscles toned just a bit more than the previous version. Similarly, the tail was slightly thicker, the feet were wider and more dinosaur-like, and the arms seemed a bit more well-suited for tearing and shredding than the previous, more human-like version. Clearly the biggest difference, though, was the head, as the human-like shape and appearance had nearly completely vanished. With no hair and an elongated snout, the head seemed purely reptilian, with eyes even more predator-like and a mouth full of sharp teeth. The features that stayed consistent between the two, though, implied that the two designs were in fact the same creature, capable of shifting between the two appearances.

She's a terribly written mary sue with an annoying catchphrase that made me lose interest and faith in a series I've loved since I was a kid? Well, she's not the reason but she was still a pretty big contributor to it.

I don't really see the Mary Sue aspect. It's not like she doesn't have her own problems to deal with.

Plus, at least she wasn't a full-fledged companion. She was only around in certain episodes, and then stopped being a thing even before Eleven's run was over. (Also I cosplayed her once, so I admit to being biased.)

Even so, one character you dislike seems like a kind of sad reason to "lose faith" in a show that's been around for almost 51 years now and has been through plenty of slumps that it's managed to get out of. I mean, the show thrives on change. It changes constantly. If you have anything against any character, writer, or anyone else involved with the show, it's unlikely they'll be around for more than a few years.

Buuuuuuuut that's just the obsessive fangirl in me speaking, now. *shrugs* Feel free to ignore me.

Interesting.I'll be honest, with the kinds of stuff that exists in the Dr. Who universe, I'm amazed that humanity managed to set up an Empire instead of crawling back into bed and hiding beneath the covers with a flash light and a twelve gauge shotgun.

I guess that's why the Doctor likes them so much. They put up with a lot, and managed to survive to the end of the universe. That's awfully impressive.

Eh, as long as it doesn't involve River Song.

I planned on avoiding canon characters in just about every idea I thought up, only re-using the setting and the monsters. So even if I use the Library, River won't be there.
