Muse nodded at John, watching the roleplayer start to fly away on his own creation. “Good luck.” He told John, before preparing to take off himself. After smothering the small fire from earlier with the tip of his tail, not wanting to just leave it there, he spread his wings and made large, slow flaps, getting himself off the ground slowly. Ordinarily, he’d be halfway to the academy in a flash, but, not used to carrying so many passengers, he wanted to make sure he wasn’t moving too quickly for any of them. He then responded to Nautilus’ further questioning about time. “Well see, that’s what I’ve been trying to get at.” He told him. “There is no standard time conversion rate, so to speak, because time flows at different speeds all over the Guild.” He explained, reaching a good altitude to start moving forward. “Say for example, one day here equals two days IRL, where we are currently – but one day at the academy up ahead equals four days IRL. Of course it’s hard to say how each area measures up to time back in your own world, so I really don’t know whether or not that’s the case for these exact areas, but you get the idea. Generally though, time goes by slower here. It’s rare to encounter a place where it moves faster.”
Even with Muse flying slower than usual, it still took no less than ten minutes to reach Kalmaysia. He landed hastily on the ground outside the building, crouching down to let the roleplayers off. “Try not to spook any of the characters here.” He told them, expecting the area to be more character-heavy than the last. Given the fact that he usually used his shapeshifting ability in order to blend in, he hoped he could assume human form again as soon as possible.
