It is definitely true that the fandom's activity has died down recently, but that's probably just because the comic is currently on "Gigapause", which is basically a really long hiatus that will end when the finale is posted. Started last October 16th with no known date or even general timeframe when it'll be over. And so the fandom just has to wait, for a very long time. The lack of new content being added regularly is surely why you don't see that many Homestuck fans running around the internet as much anymore. We can't storm the forums reacting to each daily update like we used to. But, trust me when I say that there are still plenty of fans like me checking MSPA every couple days for the end of the Gigapause, or at the very least some signs that it's close to finishing.

Oh, and if you're wondering why I know the exact date the Gigapause started on off the top of my head, it was because it started on my birthday. DX

I mean, not that I’m complaining, of course! It’s amazing to have you here! In fact, I should take you to meet the rest of the village!” she practically bounced with excitement. “I hope your wyverns don’t scare people off, though. Hopefully people will believe me this time when I say they’re tame!”
