One of the people who go on and on about 'Kalifornia' (no idea what the K is supposed to imply) and New York as like communist death camp states, as if you know what they're actually about other than yahoo news articles meant to rile people up. And I have no idea why you're injecting sexuality into this, because it had nothing at all to do with my post. Little bit tacky there.

...If anyone wants the two cents of an actual New Yorker in all this, I happen to be one.

I mean, I was just ranting about yogurt debates. Despite that, NY is not a hellhole, if you ask me. :I

it means you should make a fan fiction about spam.

Welp, far be it from me to question my subconscious decisions.

I know what I'm doing this weekend.

I dreamt I was sleep-deprived.

I can't help but wonder what it means when one's dreams are so heavily flavored with irony.

If it's possible for threads to get accidentally stickied, I wonder if it's possible for me to accidentally get promoted to moderator.

I suppose it's not impossible.

I remember every once in a while some random member would become an admin on oldGuild.

This is new york you're talking about, where you get fined for selling soda.

That doesn't make it right.
I find this a little concerning. Something about inventing new building blocks of DNA, and effectively creating living organisms with DNA patterns completely alien to anything that could've naturally occurred on earth just doesn't sit right with me.

But maybe I'm overreacting. What does everyone else think about this?
So apparently, as of last Tuesday, the official snack of New York State is yogurt.

It was suggested by some class of 4th graders in some school somewhere in the state, and became official.

And state politicians are actually arguing against it like it's a serious fucking issue.

Like, why should yogurt be the official snack? What makes yogurt better than any other snack? Is it right to represent the state of NY? Isn't it true that not all types of yogurt are particularly healthy? Is that really the image we want for our state? What better options are there? Well, to answer that question, we have to answer another: what counts as a "snack"? For sake of argument, let's assume that people generally eat three meals a day, and everything else is considered a snack. Even then, is there any real limit to what food can be consumed as a snack? Where is the line between snack-food and non-snack-food?

Auugh.

I promise I'll never complain about shitty political debates again, so long as you go back to having shitty debates about things that actually matter, instead of upsetting a bunch of 4th graders. Please.
