"RP DM" when said aloud sounds like "Carpe Diem". Coincidence? I think not.

Bio

Almost everything you need to know about me is here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers..

Umm...what else can I say about myself? I dunno. I'm part cyborg (my leg). That's kinda interesting, I guess. I'm a brony, but I honestly haven't followed anything having to do with FIM since, like, Season 3...ish. I like creepypastas...in fact, I have a couple in the works. And I'm in the process of writing an SCP. That's cool, right? That's what cool kids do? I like anime, video games,...uh, music...and...uh...stuff. *vague babbling*

Oh! I'm on Steam! "Karl Kadaver"

Name: Claire Everett
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Bloodline: Crysos
Personality: She can come off as shy and reserved at first, and she doesn’t really try to make friends since she’s sure she’ll have to leave before any meaningful connections are made anyways. To those she’s known for quite a while, she’s generally cheerful and quite talkative.
Bio: Claire comes from a military family, and as such, her family is always moving around; she’s lived in a number of countries during her short time on this Earth, including Germany, Japan, and presently, the U.S. Since she moved around so much, she never really got the chance to make many face-to-face friends, most of her friends are online. She slowly came to realize that she’s not like everyone else through a seemingly unrelated series of events: a grand slam homerun during an intermural baseball game, a damaged locker door when she forgot her locker combination, the (ugh) ‘scent’ of the person sitting next to her on the bus, uncanny dodging abilities… These abilities understandably freaked her out, but piqued her interest as well. She wondered if she may be the last daughter of a race of superbeings, or some such. That can’t possibly be true…can it?
Strengths: Like her quote says, when she’s given a task, she’ll try her damnedest to complete it. She can speak a few languages, but none of them fluently.
Weaknesses: She lacks confidence, and is at times hesitant to use her full abilities.
@Melodia Alluna Accepted!
Then,
I'm a decent writer, but that might not count here what with being in the company of dozens of writers who are better than me...

I can do this neat trick where I tilt a soda can so it leans diagonally on the table.
I roleplay for the obvious escapism. Sometimes I just want to be someone who isn't me, but I also just plain enjoy writing and roleplaying is a good creative outlet when I don't feel like building a world from scratch.

There was somewhere on here...I can't remember the name of the thread or who posted but they compared roleplaying to an MMO. "Writing a story is like playing a game in singleplayer mode," they said, "And roleplaying is like turning on the multiplayer." or something to that effect. This is exactly how I feel. I'm pretty shy in real life, almost to the point of being antisocial. I don't watch the same TV shows that a lot of other people do, I don't read the same books, or listen to the same music...I have very little in common with the people around me.

But when I'm roleplaying, I don't have to be anything like the people that I'm roleplaying with; the thing we have in common is the world in which we "live", and that's enough. Some of the coolest experiences I've had online were when I was roleplaying.
Toy

Name: Sir Maxwell
Gender: Male
Age: Late teens/early twenties
Description of Product:

Features: Max has a number of different pieces of armor that he can wear, as well as a sword, shield, and lance that he can use as weapons.
Personality: For the most part, Max tends to act “in-character”, meaning that he is stalwart, valiant, and will step up to the defense of anyone, especially Princess Amelia (who is part of his toy series). Despite this, he knows that he is a toy, and when he’s not ‘in-character’, he’s still a pretty nice guy who gets along well with the other toys. He sees himself as the personal protector of “The Land of Babbling Brook.”
History of Product: Sir Maxwell is part of an extensive line of fantasy-themed action figures and dolls based off the children’s show “Princess Amelia”. Max plays the part of the main love interest to the titular princess. This particular Maxwell was bought for Miss Emily’s niece as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, the gift was never opened because Emily’s niece threw a royal fit when she unwrapped him, as she already had two other Maxwell figurines. While Emily herself collected mini figures of different anime characters, she didn’t believe that there was a place for Maxwell in her collection, so she donated him to the daycare, knowing that he’ll at least get some use there.

Non-Toy

Name: “Miss” Emily Dickinson (Yes, that’s her name. No, she isn’t that Emily Dickinson, although she is familiar with her work.)
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Physical Description:

Personality: Emily is fairly laid-back and easygoing compared to some of the other workers and is willing to get down to the children’s level to play with them, making her a popular teacher. She can be stern when she has to be, though but will rarely resort to yelling or any kind of physical discipline. She loves her job, resulting in her sometimes working late to process paperwork and prepare the children’s rooms for the next day.
Other: Although she’ll occasionally speak to the toys, she does not believe that they can talk back.
Attention all Daycare attendants,
Lately, there has been an influx of toy donations to our little Babbling Brook Daycare family, and frankly, it’s getting hard to keep track of which toys belong to the children attending and which ones actually belong to the daycare center. Therefore, Miss Emily has devised a system for inventorying and cataloguing the toys that come in through donations. Please, whenever a new toy comes in, remember to put its description in the log book found in my office (if my door is locked, there is a key behind my nameplate right on the door). I thank you for your time and consideration, and remember to always Shine On!
Miss Madeline Brooks, Superintendent/Owner
P.S. – If you aren’t able to access my log book, please refer to the following form sheet as a guide and enter the information in my log book later.

As you can probably already tell, this is a Toy Story Roleplay! The characters (you) have all ended up here, at Babbling Brook Daycare. How you ended up here doesn’t really matter. Most of the roleplaying will be taking place when the children are not around. Mostly slice-of-life kind of stuff. What are you going to do while you’re here? Try to escape? Try to take over? Maybe you’ll just be happy playing with the children and making friends.
Maybe…you’ll reveal what you really are… Wouldn’t that be something?

There are a few rules:
1. All of the normal RPG rules apply here.
2. We're all toys here, so we can take a beating. That being said, there is still the case to be made for no godmodding. Just keep it within reason.
3. Don't pick fights in the OOC. If something comes up where we disagree, let's just talk it out and I'm sure we could come to a solution that everyone likes, or is at least okay with.
4. Lastly, please don't play with other people's toys unless they give you permission. (Don't use other people's characters)

And with that, here are the character sheets!

Name:
Gender:
Age: (How old they look/act will suffice. Most toys are a few [real] years old, tops, though some may be “vintage”.)
Description of Product: (What do you look like? A picture is fine, if you can find one. Although I think it would be neater to have OCs, trademarked toys are allowed.)
Features: (What makes you special? Do you have Kung-Fu Grip? An array of weapons? Can you transform into something else? Do you play MP3s? The sky’s the limit!)
Personality: (In either this, or the History section, please include whether or not your character knows that they are a toy.)
History of Product: (Please include how the toy ended up at Babbling Brook Daycare.)

While we’re on the subject, maybe you want to roleplay a non-toy. I got it covered.
Name:
Gender:
Age:
Physical Description: (Once again, a picture will be just fine)
Personality:
Other: (Anything of note?)

And just go ahead and drop your character sheets here in the OOC. When they're accepted, you can move them to the Character tab.
