"RP DM" when said aloud sounds like "Carpe Diem". Coincidence? I think not.

Bio

Almost everything you need to know about me is here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers..

Umm...what else can I say about myself? I dunno. I'm part cyborg (my leg). That's kinda interesting, I guess. I'm a brony, but I honestly haven't followed anything having to do with FIM since, like, Season 3...ish. I like creepypastas...in fact, I have a couple in the works. And I'm in the process of writing an SCP. That's cool, right? That's what cool kids do? I like anime, video games,...uh, music...and...uh...stuff. *vague babbling*

Oh! I'm on Steam! "Karl Kadaver"

Story thus far

In a world…
In a world much like ours, there is an arcade. No, wait. There’s an internet café. No, wait! It’s an internet café arcade! Kinda…just go with it. It’s called LAN Party.
Anyway, for a small fee, you can enter this café and log into a game machine, where you can play any video game that’s on the system...network…server…thing. Whatever. This café is known for having literally any genre you can think of, and all the games are made by indie developers, so the café arcade can keep their prices low since they don’t have to pay exorbitant licensing fees and whatnot. They say it’s a pretty sweet place to live.
Did I say “live”? Heh, heck yeah, that’s what I said! We’re the, uh, the Ghosts in the Machine, so to speak. We’re the little doods and doodettes that run back and forth across your screens blasting aliens, or blasting zombies, or blasting robots, or blasting…ah, you get it.
Unfortunately, we’re in danger right now. Someone has released a virus onto the Lan Party server, turning this Lan Party into Lag Party, if you know what I mean. If someone doesn’t stop The Virus soon, they’re going to have to do a complete wipe of the system. You know what that means, right?
GAME OVER, MAN! GAME OVER!
Who will heed the Call of Duty? Will it be you?
Setting

There are essentially three worlds in this roleplay: The ‘Real’ world, The ‘Server’, and The ‘Game’.
In the Real world, you have your average humans going about their business, living their ordinary lives, completely unaware that there is a world beyond their own. This world will have very little screen time, except for a few background events.
The Server acts as a hub where the video game characters can all get together and hang out. They can pursue relationships, compete with one another, just plain hang out, or attend Bad Guy Anonymous meetings (among other things).
The Game world(s) are where most of the action will be taking place. The Games represent the places where the different game characters are from, and as such, each player will have more control over events in their own respective world. Your game, your rules (except when they’re my rules).

Okay, if you haven’t guessed by now, this is totally a Wreck-It-Ralph RP (at least in terms of the setting). You play as a video game character on a server with other video game characters. That being said, here are the rules and signups:

Da Rules

1. All standard Roleplayer Guild rules apply.
2. Everyone may have as many characters as they think they can handle. As an aside, I don’t plan on killing anyone off, but I’m not against the idea. For plot related reasons, of course.
3. Please, no godmodding (No Infinite Lives or Invulnerability cheats. Multiple lives are okay, as well as many of the standard superpowers and powerups.) Please don’t control other peoples’ characters without their permission, either. Everyone will, however, be allowed to control NPCs in their own respective worlds.
4. Players are allowed to be a Glitch if they wish, within limitations, of course. As an aside, I’m will be flexible on the subject of glitches and allow them to leave their games.
5. Please, don’t be a jerk in the OOC. If there is some sort of disagreement, surely it can be talked out. We’re all people, right?
6. I’m okay with romance between characters, but please keep it PG-13. If you wish to get jiggy, please take it to PMs.
7. This is more of a guideline than a rule, but I want to see Original Characters (and games). I’d rather not see a bunch of Soaps, Commander Shephards, Freddys, Marios, or the like. I’m not saying that you can’t be like them, just don’t be them.
8. Have fun. I don’t like post length limits; just do whatever you feel comfortable with. As well, try to post at least once a week. Even I won’t be able to post every single day, and it would be unfair to expect anyone else to.
9. Characters have to be approved before they can post. Please post all CSs to the OOC for approval, then move them over to the Characters tab when I approve them.

And now, the signups!
Name:
Age (In-game):
Species:
Appearance: (A picture or written description will work)
Game or Franchise of Origin: (What game are you from? Please include the genre, and/or a brief description.)
In-game Role: (Is your character the Protagonist of their game? Are they the Final Boss? A Selectable character/Avatar, a Mook, an NPC, a Level Boss? A Glitch?)
Powers, Abilities, and/or Items: (What can your character do in-game? These abilities may carry over into other game worlds if the software supports it.)
Other: (Anything else that might be relevant to your character.)

Let's Wreck It!
Gooooooooood.
Good.

I haven't thought of anything for Toby to do besides pick flowers until further notice.
There's no one I'd rather be than me!

Awesome! I'll post the OOC sometime today, then.
I jumped out of a hayloft once one a whim.
Toby was almost halfway to the butcher's shop before Miss Dawson's voice rang out over the loudspeakers. He listened attentively as the headmistress announced that everyone had the day off. Toby's soft smile widened into an unnaturally large grin at the news. He could now go straight to the lake instead of having to worry about cleaning himself up after work! He laughed out loud at his good fortune as he made a bee line for the lake.

But once he was there, a creeping uncertainty reached his throat. He looked around the lake and saw that many other people had made similar plans to Artemis, (Jace, let's not forget) and him. It was then that he remembered that he'd wanted to find flowers for Artemis, and this cheered him up a bit. He strolled into the nearby woods and started looking for suitable flora. He knew that he wanted to find something bright red, to match the color of her hair...but what else? Her eyes. What color were her eyes? He thought on it for a few moments. They were orangeish. No, that wasn't right. Honey-colored. A honey brown.

Now, Toby wasn't all too familiar with flowers, and he certainly didn't know of any that would match the exact shade of Artemis' eyes. He briefly wondered if he could manufacture some using his own bodily materials...and once again laughed out loud at his foolishness. Sure, he could do it, but how would she react to grabbing what used to be Toby's hand and inhaling deeply, expecting flowery scents to emanate forth, only to find no smell at all...or worse, realize that the so-called flowers were still connected to the end of his arm?

He shook his head. His only choice would be to find real suitable flowers. He ventured further into the woods, away from the lake.
This is more of a shot in the dark than anything, but here goes:

Who has heard of Wonder Project J, or Wonder Project J 2? They were games for the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64, respectively, and they focused on teaching a robot how to perform simple tasks, such as climbing a ladder, throwing and kicking a ball, and opening doors, and other such activities. There was an overarching plot regarding the divide between humans and automatons, with the player's robot intending to be the link that brings them together.

I think it would be fun to do something like that. My partner would act as the player character, teaching and interacting with the robot. I would be playing the part of the robot, as well as various NPCs.

Feel free to post here, or send me a PM if you are interested, or simply if you have any questions.
