Fate/ENDLESS PARADOX

A Fate/Stay Night themed RP
Always Accepting

The Holy Grail War, a battle of mages to claim the Holy Grail, an omnipotent treasure that can grant the holder anything their heart desires.

The war is held every sixty years, the Grail originally having been summoned by the Three Founding Families, the Tohsaka, Matou, and Einzbern mage clans. It is a battle of mages, held away from the eyes of common humans. Seven mages are chosen to be "Masters", and each of them uses the Grail to summon a "Servant", inhumanly powerful Spirits of great heroes from the annals of history. Those Servants are sorted into seven classes that best suit their abilities and legend. Saber. Archer. Lancer. Rider. Caster. Assassin. Berserker. The Servants engaged in bloody war, with the goal being clear. The last duo standing is the winner, and the winner is granted any one wish by the Grail. The battle was so fierce that the Mages and the Holy Church, who were warring against each other at the time, put their differences aside. They would work together in organizing the Grail to ensure that it would never threaten the world as it had.

Up until the third war, it was an uncolored, unaligned construct. However, it became tainted by a being known as Angra Mainyu, filled with the collective evils of the world, tampered with by a being known as Angra Mainyu. After the fifth Holy Grail War, a woman named Rin Tohsaka, and a man named Lord El-Melloi II, summoned the Grail with but a single goal in mind: the destruction of the Grail, and while they triggered a massive conflict between themselves and the Mage Association on the same scale as a Grail War, they were successful in their goal.

However, January 17th, 2017, a mere seven years after the Grail's destruction, the War begins anew. The Holy Grail has appeared once more, fully restored and seemingly more powerful than before. All over the world, scores of mages have been chosen to be Masters, their number far surpassing the standard of seven within minutes. Heroes from across time are being summoned, each of the seven classes containing multiple Heroic Spirits. Both the Church and the Mages Association are in chaos, unable to do anything about the sudden appearance of the Grail. One thing is certain.

The Sixth Holy Grail War was upon them, and promised to be far bloodier than any that had come before.

So, basically, I wanted to do a larger-scale war scenario in the Fate universe. I also didn't want to limit roleplayers, in case their preferred class was taken. I mean, eventually I'm gonna have to close off certain classes, don't want thirty sabers, but it's a grail war where the fighting would be in a much wider area. I'm gonna have character sheets for Masters and Servants that are gonna be PMd to me. I'll post them with all the important information removed in the case of Servants. As far as what's canon in this, refer to Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero. I'm gonna allow people to play Servants that have appeared in either one. If you have an idea for a Servant and it's been used in one of the other Fate series, such as Grand Order or Apocrypha, don't sweat it. Feel free to use heroes from those sources and change them up, or copy them directly. I'm pretty lax about most things. However, there will probably be a banlist. Pretty much any extremely over powered character is not gonna be allowed. I saw that there was already a couple Fate games going, but they're full up and not quite what I'm going for.

I rambled a bit, but that's the gist. I imagine that with two Fate rps going, this may not get to be a thing, but I may as well give it a shot. Thanks for reading!
Thanks!
Hi! My name's Kayden. I'm a big fan of tabletop roleplaying, and used to do forum stuff in highschool, so I figured I would jump back in. It's nice to meet you all!
